What License or mission are you struggling with that you feel ashamed about?

I have two missions left. The Porsche lap at Le Mans was fairly easy to gold. The main annoyance was the 77 second wait time to start. I'm leaving the Le Mans race for last.

I just got bronze on the Gr.3 Bathurst battle. Any tips on this one? What kind of lap times are needed?

I think my tires were falling off a bit at the end and my lap times dropped and also made it into the sand once. I was running ~2:10-2:12 until then.

Just the Circuit Experience at Le Mans and Circuit de Sainte-Croix for me to go. Finally got gold on every other Circuit Experience event, except these two.

I'm guessing this Bathurst mission might be one of those missions where it's worth a try to restart and see if the field has a different pace.

I was doing like 2:07 or so. The AI really sucks in the upper section from like turn 6 all the way to the elbow.

The Pass in Moby Dick can F off. I finally got gold after reloading a number of times to get different wind speed or AI patterns.

It’s incredibly horrible design to have random elements in fixed challenges like this. I was doing laps faster than people on my leaderboard that had gold and was in 3rd. All the sudden another attempt the AI is half a second slower and I get gold.
I warned you guys!!!!!!

I think I should be able to get gold with one or a few more goes. I'm worried that my tires will drop off quicker if I push too much, but I don't know how tire wear works in this game.

Does anyone know when new tracks are coming and new cars

EVERY CHANGE COMING TO GRAN TURISMO 7 IN APRIL

Struggling with The Pass in Moby Dick.
Just can't make last two corners to get slipstream on finish straight.

Struggling and/or ashamed are harsh words for me. I think mine fall into the "harder than anticipated", "tolerable" or "can't stand" catefories. The pass using the Toyota on Tokyo Express seems to have me stuck on Silver at best. Most are tolerable (including the elusive final on the S license), some are just useless and I can't stand them. Yes talking about the cone tests and anything that deals with drifting. Now I am back to the Porsche at Spa with the wet track.

Just 69 points away from Gold in expert drifting just now.

😭
I am struggling on that one as well. Got it to 5240 or something too. But I am getting better, will manage one of these days. I do short stints though, 20-30 attempts in a row, to avoid getting too frustrated.

My goal for the first corners was 2700, after that it is pure luck.

So far, the hardest events for me were/are: Drift events, Fuji GT500, F1 at Spa and the 2000GT fuel mission.

The freaking drag missions urgh :banghead:

I'm the sort of guy that HATES perma mods to my cars, so the most I do is put bolt on parts. Needless to say I don't have a specialised car for drag, nor do I want to dump hundreds of thousands into a car just for a 10 second race and never touch it again. I swear the AI was cheating when the yellow Civic beat my R8, but NOS solved that. The Viper had me trounced though.

SO I decided to buy drop a whole million on a TS050. Sub tonne, nearly 1000 combined HP, electric motor immediacy, and AWD. Just for insurance, Racing Soft tyres and full strength NOS. AND I STILL LOST. WHAT. THE. HELL?!

Caved in and bought the Veyron for 2.6 million to fill out my car Pokédex, since I had the invite anyway and it was pre 1.07. Slapped the same Racing Soft tyres and full strength NOS on it. Beat the freaking GT-R and got my 2J after. Yeah, even the 24 mins of Le Mans and S-10 were less trouble.

I swear the AI in these drag races are scripted cheaters, but I haven't heard anyone whine about them. Maybe it's just a problem I and no one else has.

Tuned Audi Pikes Peak RC will whoop the GTR by 4/10ths. Does need nitro 😆

The only things I struggled on this game that are worthy being ashamed are... Drifting missions and the Drag Race against the Viper GTS.

For the drifiting gold missions, it all came down to luck. I couldn't for the life of me pull one clean run after another, ironically, the one with the Gr.4 Viper was the hardest by far.

As for the Drag Race against the Viper GTS... Ok this was a good one:

... Yeah this Viper GTS more than obviously has a special High RPM Turbo or some other special parts in it because it was ridiculous how it caught up with me. I bought the same Viper GTS, fully upgraded it to about 800+ hp and weight reduction, didn't add any aero kits just to make sure there was no drag and still got destroyed.

Can anyone figure how much HP that AI Viper had?

EDIT: I dunno why but by using ">" before my lines, my post came with quotes lol.
Tip for easy win… used the Red Bull x2019 with some upgrades, initiated drag with 4th gear and after a while you start downshifting - easy win for the gtr race as well

Me too - stuck on all the drift ones, haven't got a clue how to do it! Managed all the other Missions with no problem, so far.
A tip for people that have the luxury of a steering wheel - just use the controller instead. And then rinse and repeat till you succeed. When I first golded the first drift challenge I thought I was too lucky, when I realized there are more drift challenges I was so disappointed that I thought there was no chance of golding everything - thankfully I was mistaken :) currently all missions and licensed gold, have to start the track challenges soon :)

Makes no difference to me - I've tried wheel and controller, and I'm still stuck. I've watched endless videos of people making it look easy, and I still can't replicate it.

Given up now, I've got better things to waste my time on!

Just the Le Mans Circuit Experience to go! But it's still so damn hard, and I can't even shave off 0.623 seconds no matter what I do.

Using a controller, the tip I can give you because I am useless at drifts myself - don’t hit on the gas all the way and also remember that you can use the break in the middle of the drift to correct it - obviously with the opposite effect than hitting the gas!

Struggled initially with the 24 minute endurance race but I realized in the later half of the race that the AI completely messed up the pit strategy. Instead of going for a one-stop (like a reasonable person) they did like 3 stops across 4 laps. I was close to 2 minutes ahead of the second car by the finish line.

It surprised me that after 150 hours the AI still comes up with new ways to prove that it’s absolutely worthless.

Not sure will I be able to achieve drift gold in Gone with the Wind...

First part I do 2.5/2.7k, but second corner is problematic - can't do more than 3k and most times I went/slide out of track.

Most I did was 6176 and it was isolated case.
Brutally hard event for me.

Any tip for it?
I see that everyone manage to do quick shift of car weight (from outside to inside) while entering second corner - I'm not successful in that for now...

I have no such luck. It seems like they barely pit at all, and I need to pit twice.

edit: Well, it finally happened. They pitted three times. I went twice for intermediates, and won by over a minute or there about.

Not ashamed but infuriated to a small degree!
Yesterday under Moby Dick, I ran the 30 lap Tsukuba race. Firstly, I hate Tsukuba & after lapping 30 times around that circuit, I get a meager 10,000 credits. Sheesh

I had about the same experience. I was maybe 30 points short, but I was eventually able to make it over.
The biggest frustration for me in any license test is when I'm just a few thousandths away from achieving Gold. Getting those thousandths is harder than getting hundredths or tenths because thousands will only be achieved when giving Your best.

Ofcourse, this only applies to the tough tests.

I ended up skipping the mission pit in or stay out 2 after trying it with a bunch of different cars and not being remotely close. I figured 'I'll get the red bull X2019 when I get gold in super license'. Well, fast forward to this morning when I finally got that Red Bull.

It took a bit, but I slowly caught up and then passed the lead car (in the pouring rain). I ended up with a 1 minute lead as I left my last pit stop. I crashed once, but still had a 30 second lead. At the start of the straight, the 2nd place car had cut it down to 24 seconds. I raced a solid, but not great lap. But that *%&@ 2nd place car closed the gap FAST. I ran an under 4 minute lap and this freak, with still damp roads, and me on IM tires, caught me as I went into the last set of sweeping corners. Then he bashed me from behind, sent me off-road, and I came in second because he was gone.

Time to buy the Tomahawk I guess. I've done this race about 9 times

The longer missions, like this one or the 30 laps at Tsukuba, should pay out every time. The shorter ones, no big deal. But the longer ones should not be one payout and done.

Get yourself the Tomahawk X, say yeehaw, and go kick some butt. You deserve it. Pit for Full Wets and fuel at the end of lap 3, just as it starts raining. When the rain is heaviest, be extra careful, it will want to spin if you go much over 210 mph. You should still lap just about everyone. Good luck!
