Yep. Don't have a wheel so am on a controller anyways. So it's just about a well controlled slight drift at the right time.
Just to be sure: you have to turn right, right?

My oppinion, very soft brake most Time, it can go much faster around Corners if you dont try to trail brake to hard.
Every km/h or. mp/h more you can go, you got more Downforce. And dont use Curbes...

Just to add to what @xMAXIx79 said, one place I ended up making a LOT of time was the turn before the uphill to the corkscrew. Brake VERY late, and do NOT turn in early. Turn in late, after the curbing. I also found that test very difficult

Countersteering assistant can help, you should manage the first sector with a lot of speed and a high drift angle with a good 2700 or more points and then reduce your speed significantly in order to take the coming 180 degrees more gently and smoothly. If you score S1 Enough points and glide S2 cleanly that should do the trick.Any tips for drift mission with controller? I'm struggling to get Gold with the BRZ, I want my 2J

The advice that helped me was that someone said the car slow down enough just when you release throttle. Don't brake too much.

Returned to the game after last update.
Trying to gold all circuits. Started with Interlagos and after 4+ hours my best time was still .025 from the goal.

The one I’m most embarrassed I struggled on was the rainy race at Tsukuba in Beyond the Horizon. All because I thought the race was only one lap instead of two, and it took me at least 15 attempts before I figured that out.

The Interlagos time is kind of a joke but good god thank god it is because the Zonda was so unpleasant to drive. The thing doesn’t rotate at all.

Got all gold on National B all gold on National A All gold on International B ,
International A Ia-1-2-3-4 all gold IA-5 WITH THE R92cp car I have bronze and cannot do any better after an hour of trying,
IA-6-7 Gold, IA-8 Silver after a few hours of trying, I cannot get gold and I won't be wasting anymore of my life trying,
IA-9 Bronze and IA-10 Bronze they are just to fast for me to contemplate doing any better.
S-Licence S-1 Bronze can't do any better, S-2 Silver, S-3 Silver, S4-5-6-7-8-9-10 All Bronze and will stay that way as I can't see the point in sitting for hour after hour doing the same thing when Bronze is a pass and the tests are so hard, As a wise man once said only a fool keeps doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. Basically know your limits and move on when you get there.
Nothing to be ashamed of I have done my best, that is all anyone can do.
If there is anything to be ashamed of it is on the the game makers who insist on making it rediculously hard as if everyone is a top line gamer with the ability of a professional race driver, The vast majority are not we are normal people who just want to play a game for a bit of fun, Make the difficulty slider actually work on all things on the game as it does nothing at the minute.
Or have a look at Driveclub by far a better game with so much more to it and the game play is a million times better, maybe take a leaf from their book and with GT graphics and amount of cars etc we would have a winner, And don't make it so hard.
The S-10 licence test is only to make the game very hard, when are we going to drive a super fast car on slick tyres in damp/wet conditions? Just a pointless test.

I don't know why S-1 is so hard to gold. My only thought is that it may be T2, that always throws me off in the new HSR layout.
At least the reward for all golds in the S license isn't that great.

I got quite close to feeling ashamed when trying to gold the 30 min mission on HSR in the rain.
I had read a couple of posts here about race tactics, watched a couple of vids on YouTube and thought I was good to go.
However, for all my first attempts I got stuck on something like P14, a minute behind the leader, losing time from being too slow or even worse, losing the car 200 m away from the pit entry.
It took me ages to realize that weather is dynamic and that no race is quite like the other and more like your own unique experience.
Things got better the moment I accepted that I can't copy what I read or saw but race "my own race" ...
I had one more attempt finishing on P4 because the rain came back after two dry laps forcing me into an extra pitstop, next try was a win though, even quite satisfying regarding race tactics and with a 50 sec lead at the line.

There are a few wet missions like that. I followed the 'easy' win strategy shown on the thread for the Tsukuba 1 hour mission yesterday, and finished in P2, 1m 38secs behind P1......I got quite close to feeling ashamed when trying to gold the 30 min mission on HSR in the rain.

No, P3 and then P5......
AI strategy keeps changing, and P1 runs a 59.9 lap when the rain is at it's heaviest 😕
First race I only pitted twice, leaders pitted 6 times and still beat me! Second race I was lapped by the leader - no way back from that.
