I remember watching videos such as this 5 or so years ago and thinking if this is truly "the Next Car Game" then I can't wait for the future.

A bit longer than I hoped, and a lot of things have changed, but the futures is finally (almost) here.

How sim feel does the racing game feel. Like isnit arcade style or sim to real life. The graphics and gameplay look amazing

If it's like FlatOut, and based on videos and comments, I expect it to be a simulator, but on the lighter end of the scale. Weighty and realistic, but with a relatively simple tire model. The emphasis is more on kinetic action and door-to-door racing instead of finer nuances of handling.

I ended up going for the physical version of the game rather than the digital as I intended to do previously.

My copy was dispatched on friday so it should hopefully arrive on monday. Ah, who am I kidding. The state-owned postal company’s going to screw up us usual :embarrassed:
 
Someone local to me is selling the deluxe version on PS4. Shame I'm stuck at work or I'd go snap it up! Means a retail somewhere has launched it early.
 
Can anyone comment on the FFB in the PS4 version; are there any crappy arcade style effects like in GT Sport that you can't turn off?
 
Somehow there is someone on my friends list already playing. I tried joining with current timezone, farthest forward timezone and manually putting the PS4 date forward, but nothing worked so I don't know how this is possible.

sometimes people get the hardcopys earlier somehow ? bribed a psn store person ?

Ordered mine this morning from PS Store also. PS4 said 1 day & sooooo many hours before it'll be available. Some YouTube people have a copy of the game (likely code from the developer) & I've been watching those until I get my hands on the game.
 
I hope there's gonna be a playable demo on PS4...

Good review from IGN. Tl;Dr, plays great, sounds great, looks great, is fun, can be reptitive in career mode and the upgrades are a missed opportunity.

So far every gameplay and review I've seen gives it high marks including the console reviews and everyone says it's tons of fun.
I can't wait to download it and play. I think this will be my favourite game.
This is a well done vid review BTW.

I saw that review as well & it just solidified my decision to buy it. I've been watching numerous YT accounts playing on PCs with mods & have had so many laughs. No mods on consoles, but I hope there is online play & that will be my source of smiles. Driving on Burnout Paradise was great knowing that at any moment you could be wiped out (or wipe someone else out) was a refreshing feeling compared to GTS.

I was debating whether I should alter my sleep schedule for the day in order to play when it unlocks.

You don't need a demo. Wreckfest is so good, so beautiful that you don't have any other choice than loving it.

I do need a demo, to see what the FFB is like. If they've messed it up as PD did with GTS then I won't wanna play it no matter how "good" other people think it is.

Your not getting it anytime soon.
GTS is a complete different game and therefore doesn't really matter what their force feedback was like.
 
mine still says 30 hours to go in western northamerica 1 day and 6 hours yet it supposed to be playable on the 26th for preorders
