mine still says 30 hours to go in western northamerica 1 day and 6 hours yet it supposed to be playable on the 26th for preorders

I got the deluxe edition, so available for me at 11cnt

It happens the other way round more times than not, when our release date is held back till a day (by date) after yours and then it's the middle of the night once it does release .

Also, where can the extra cars from the $60 version be used? There seems to be no indication whether they are unlockable through game progression, or just automatically in your garage.

Yeah, I've had a few glitches as well. Edit: The figure 8 couch race has been particularly bad for me.

Cars will be released over 8 DLC packs.

I do need a demo, to see what the FFB is like. If they've messed it up as PD did with GTS then I won't wanna play it no matter how "good" other people think it is.

We don't "think" it is good. It just is! It is that good.

I ended up going for the physical version of the game rather than the digital as I intended to do previously.

My copy was dispatched on friday so it should hopefully arrive on monday. Ah, who am I kidding. The state-owned postal company’s going to screw up as usual

I guess I'm lucky if I get to play - at best - an hour or two tomorrow evening.

Hell yeah, the first one is definitely my choice. That’s how I normally set the FoV in pCARS2.

Agreed. The online seems remarkably stable but it is of course early days.

This is just so much fun to play, setting up crazy custom events will never get old. Muscle car VS 23 Sofas in a demo derby? Yes please!

Quick way to XP as well that one l.

On the default settings it's rubbish... and a wrist breaker (T-GT), but with a bit of tinkering I've managed to get it better. On default I was only getting 20% steering angle so I'd just plow off every corner. Lucky there's enough adjustment to get some feel, but I've still got a ways to go to get where I'm satisfied.

Verdict so far: Passable

Regarding wheel settings on PS4, they don't save for me. I've tried it several times and each time they're reset to default when I re-enter the game . Is anyone else having the same issue?

Some thoughts/observations, playing on standard Xbox One:

1. Feedback through the controller isn't great. Seems there is no trigger rumble.
2. In-race performance is pretty good. Had a few glitchy collisions and occasional framerate drops, but nothing significant.
3. No ability to map the controller buttons, just some presets. How does this happen in 2019?
4. Menus are slow.
5. Can't make private lobbies. This really, really hurts this game.
6. No way to group up with your friends and find a game together, just have to join a lobby and hope it has space for them.
7. The quick match settings are lame, no specific class lobbies, and "Special Vehicle" lobby is just regular lobby plus bus and RV.
8. Not really clear how to get/use some things, like the harvester or sofa.

The lack of private lobbies is a real killer. I knew it wasn't going to have custom public lobbies from one of the Q+A things, but if I knew it didn't have private lobbies I probably would have just waited for a sale. The game is certainly fun, but if we can't set up lobbies with our friends to host silly fun events with car rules and such, it's really going to hurt the long term value.

Maybe they said there would be no private lobbies too and I missed it, guess I should have paid more attention... Could have used the money for WRC 8 instead.
