Has anyone tried this with a wheel yet? If so opinions please.
On the default settings it's rubbish... and a wrist breaker (T-GT), but with a bit of tinkering I've managed to get it better. On default I was only getting 20% steering angle so I'd just plow off every corner. Lucky there's enough adjustment to get some feel, but I've still got a ways to go to get where I'm satisfied.
The lack of private lobbies is a real killer. I knew it wasn't going to have custom public lobbies from one of the Q+A things, but if I knew it didn't have private lobbies I probably would have just waited for a sale. The game is certainly fun, but if we can't set up lobbies with our friends to host silly fun events with car rules and such, it's really going to hurt the long term value.

My interest in this game has dropped way down after hearing this. It's really not for me at this point in time...

I have buyed the ps4 version too, but only for one reason - to support the devs.
I tried 2 races on ps4, i will stick on pc version.... :D
btw: pc patch is also out now(8,6gb)

Not gonna lie, I thought this game was bare bones, but after seeing the IGN review, it has convinced me to buy it!

Feels like everything is limited or dumbed down to the half. FFB feels numb, physics are dumbed down, car handling is dumbed down, online gameplay is senseless. Feels like you play a totally limited mobile game.
Like assetto corsa, on consoles this game is just a shadow of the orginal on PC :(

so in other words we know consoles wont allow mods ?.

Loving this game. Played all morning and had a giant smile the whole time, wining or losing. Thats quality gaming right there. Did a couple online matches, theye were fun and smooth but the ability to run custom playlists with friends is sorely needed and tbh this is one game i would almost expect to have something like that. Oh well, perhaps down the line it could happen.

Anyone finish the campaign yet? I'm still on the 3rd set of events and am wondering if anyone's seen the teased corvette. Unless they plan to include it in the Season Pass content.

Was excited for this game, but now I see that it doesn’t have and doesn’t seem likely to get private/custom lobbies, that knocks it down from “buy” to “borrow”.

Was looking forward to racing some GTPers in some ridiculous events.

It feels great compared to crew2

Disagree on every single point.

👍

They haven't in the past, so there's no expectation now. I have seen some mods that might make the game funnier, but in the grand scheme of things, the only thing I've seen that would be of value to mod would be to allow some vehicles that weren't put into the game by Bugbear. But, we do have a couch on wheels. That was the funniest thing I've seen all week.

As for the offline stuff, I had many chortles & played a few hours extra when I should have been sleeping. I wanted to get the Speedbird quickly, but had to finally talk myself into waiting. I'm still waiting as I chose to run a couple of daily races on GTS. But, somebody was on the track wrecking players, so I got 2 game experiences in 1.

Eh, if you've seen the Trackfest mod, it'd be of good value. Brutal tracks that use in-game assets with lots of crossover sections and potential for good racing. They'd fit right in with the figure 8s and loop circuit.

I'm hoping that it gets picked to go official after Bugbear's selected all The Very Track Pack circuits they want to implement.

You lucky one, enjoy it:) Looks like you never played it on pc, otherwise you wouldnt disagree;)

I realy hope for you guys that they implement custom lobbys soon. Thats the long term fun of this great game.
At arround lvl40 you have unlocked the most parts and cars, then you can detune class a and b cars to class c, awesome builds possible.

Finally received the game yesterday and played it from 9PM until almost 2AM. Got about 4 hours of sleep but it was worth it :embarrassed:

The AI are absolute bastards though, in a good and mischievous way. I had to set the difficulty from Expert to Amatuer though. It provided me with far better and closer racing than on expert difficulty. Got tired pretty quickly of chasing the one car that got away from the pack all alone while the rest of the field were busy wrecking each other like there's no tomorrow.

Overall, this game's an absolute blast so far.

With that said though, I have two gripes with the game :
- Number one and the most major one is definitely the loading times. I sincerely hope they can improve it significantly. This is RIDE (the first game) levels of bad.

- The second is the omission of custom championships. While you can make your own custom events I wish we hade the option to at least choose a set of events to our liking, just to avoid having to go back to the menus after each event.

I absolutely love it, really fun and addicting. I‘m staying with the DS4 tho, felt weird using my wheel..

Very fun game after playing it most of the night. Bashing someone to smithereens is so satisfying, and how hilariously morbid it is - the Sofa Car races, where there are new obstacles with damaged sofas, and lifeless corpses lying all over the race track.

My only issues are, the load times are shocking, its almost on par with Forza Horizon 4. Almost.

And the glitches and bugs.

Some are hilarious, like the drivers and crowd that contort into strange positions, either during the race, or after the race on the results screen. But some are very disappointing considering the development time - random faded chequered flag that lingers at the bottom of the screen and messes with the UI? How? Why? A;so had the car select screen bug out a few times.

Played it on early access through the original tech demo phase and into the first builds of next car game and played it for around a year and a half on from there. 👍

To say it's like a mobile game is just totally incorrect, this game has more going for it and more content within it and a more polished physics system than games twice it's price and four times it's budget.

Dude, i like and play this game too! But after compare that two versions to me the ps4 version feels like a mobile game.
Most critic is the framerate cap at 30 and all the bad things that result from this. It dosnt look fluid, it dosnt feel fluid, the input lag, the low ffb refresh, the defused physics. I dont talk about the content, its the same on both.

I have buy it twice, just for supporting the devs, even i was knowing it will have only 30pfs on console. But i hope they get good money and they survive to make a successor on Playstation 5. I pray to the god of gaming, this generation should be the last one with 30fps gameplay.

Anyway have fun with the game everyone.

With the intensity of soft body physics, 24 car fields all being rendered with soft body physics, plus a relatively detailed SIM physics engine and almost completely destructible tracks. I think a stable 30fps is remarkable.

The physics definitely don't feel toned down at all, can't comment on FFB but it seems 50/50 between people being happy and unhappy, can't say I've experienced any input lag and if you are @user3392345 I would recommend checking your controller settings as the default steering dead zone is very high.

I'm genuinely surprised how well it holds up. Although I wouldn't mind a setting that prioritizes performance over graphical fidelity.
