Looking way ahead, but Eiger and Nurb will have special rules concerning the start and a different procedure, just a heads up.

I second that with PT drivers overtaking GT drivers there was one incident at the bus stop chicane, where i had to swerve to avoid turning in and nearly hit the barrier just to avoid contact. I know i'm slower but i can't just make my car disappear. Sargaris i see your point will avoid in future if in same position, and again sorry for taking you out after i lost control glad it didnt affect the overall standing though.

Looking at most of the incidents, almost all of them are due to braking problems. I know we all had a laugh about my line last week, but the scary thing was it was true. I didn't have any trust in my braking ability. Every rear end crash has had the same cause, people not knowing the braking point.

I mean no disrespect to any of you drivers, I am looking at these crashes objectively and as examples for my point: Yera had three moments tonight on the brakes behind me, one caused a major incident for both of us, one was a close call and the third again was contact but no damage. I don't believe any of them to be Yera's fault. Nor do I believe the two previous crashes Furi's fault. Therefore I think it is the tyres which are causing the issue. I love the feel of the car on the tyres on my own but in a race it is scary with those tyres. I wiped out Panoz because of the braking distance is very difficult to judge in these cars...

Personally, that's bad designing of the race track at Daytona. If a car drops a wheel on the grass after the kink and then snaps back it is heading straight for another car that is turning into the hairpin, It happened twice in front of me tonight! Yeratel into Fox (which almost certainly would have caused a Red had this been real life) and then Jamsy into Sagaris. That's 4 cars totalled by one corner. If there was a kerb or a bit of run off there these accidents wouldn't have occurred.

Edit, I'm talking about the horse shoe sectiony area

Well its the 3rd time in 3 weeks we have been there and people should know the track by now.

It's not not knowing the track, everyone can make mistakes, and this is only a small mistake (dropping the right rear on the grass) which causes a big incident due to the tracks design. If there was a barrier or a run off these accidents wouldn't have and won't occur.

No. That Bus Stop has too many bloody barriers.

Well needles to say that if you fall off the track next week you can build a bloody sandcastle in the time it takes to get out of the sand traps.

That is why we have Laguna Seca :dopey:

Not the bus stop, the horseshoe thing. Either way, for me, a track with 4 hairpins, 2 chicanes and two 31 degree banked corners is just a stupid design layout. I could design a better track to fit into Daytona's oval design. I hate turn one, two, four, five, seven and eight, they're just designed to catch people out and cause accidents. Laguna is better than Daytona!

I'd rather build sand castles than ruin someone's race :sly:

I love Daytona... it's got some of the most challenging and satisfying corners in the game: turn 1 & bus-stop predominantly. :dopey:

I am driving a Mustang, I believe you have to be unhinged to drive one in an endurance race :dopey:

Tell you what Orama, I bet you never have chance to get tired in that car as I bet your eyes are on stalks half the time LOL :scared:

👍 My tires lasted like 18 laps :scared: Thats why you caught up really, really quickly! Then I dropped it into the wall in T1, twice! Nearly thrice actually!

I was going to stop on lap 28 but Yeratel put pay to that on lap 26, in the horseshoe. As it happened it worked out OK.

As far as I remember I only had one unforced error at the second horseshoe.

I had loads of lag in free run on watch race, and Lout scared me several times

Yeah sorry about that, there was one incident where I almost hit you on the banking as I had some damage...

Overall I really enjoyed the race. The Alpine had good speed but I couldn't get close to anyone due to a serious amount of lag for the whole race. That coupled with a few nasty accidents pretty much meant I would never get a decent finish!

Before me and Randy crashed I was probably on target for a strong podium finish too.

I also suffered from lag, quite jumpy a lot of the race, first time I have actually noticed it on my screen,

Balance Of Performance Tweaks
Ford Mk IV - from 608 to 610pp (Highest I will put the Ford at)
Alpine A110 - confirmation it is at 475pp
Jaguar E Type Lightweight - confirmation it is 455pp
Lancia Stratos - confirmation it is 445pp

No confirmation an Stang yet I see, was more on pace this week, I manage an 06.9 without draft, once. I think it was followed by an 09.4; consistency is key :dopey:

My best was an 05.7 I somehow managed to pour all of my frustration of having a crash into one monster lap  I was consistently in the 06's though for the majority of the stint.

Plus I think I only took on about 20/30 litres of fuel over the entire race!
