Xbox Japan: "Forza 6 includes weather, night racing, 450 cars"

Forza 5 already had numerous textures, such as wood and leather etc, so it doesn't seem far fetched that they've created more.

I hope the GT Le Mans car is in.

Considering Forza is an associate sponsor (Dig the logo on the lower edge of the door.) of the program, I'd bet it will be at some point, maybe even on Day 1.

People comparing to GT5/6 need to remember that while not dynamic the physics side of things seems incredibly advance and isn't the lame -15% grip reduction that you get in GT. Actual hydroplaning and water poodles being a danger is pretty exciting for me.
Not as lame:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-aquaplaning-been-added.321859/#post-10346263

"FM6: Disappointingly, this focus on wet driving doesn't include the addition of dynamic weather. Consequently, the race track won't change over the course of a race; no dry lines appearing on the track, no growing or shrinking rivers across different parts of the course."

Do I even dare ask what that link and what you're quoting has in common?
The link is a reply to the stated "lame" wet physics in GT in comparisson to what FM6 will offer. GT does also simulate aquaplaning and other wet physics details since GT5.

The paragraph from arstechnica is an example of the important things that will be missing in the wet physics of FM6 for the only reason of not being dynamic.

All this is related to the original SimTourist quoted message.

I don't see how quoting another Forum members unproven claims is any better than making your own unproven claims.

As was stated farther down in the thread, this could be due to a setting being changed or just a perceived difference because people were looking for one.

That's strange, because the link you posted where people were speculating that it was recently simulated in GT6 was made a year after GT6 was released.

Duh. His GT sense was tingling.

So no some of us do not buy each game at launch "no questions asked".
After getting a PS2 for Gran Turismo and an XB360 for Forza, I haven't bought the next consoles, either. Polyphony Digital is lost in a fog, and IMHO, Turn 10 is stuck in a rut with their obsession for exquisitely detailed graphics.

To be fair, if Xbox was already my platform of choice, I'd be all over FH2 and FM6...but with my XB360, I felt a bit like a fish out of water whenever I looked beyond the racing genre.

I really don't know why I expected anything else but there is so much dee dee dee in here it makes my head hurt. :indiff:

What Henry Ford III? Dan didnt look too happy last time with the Mac P1 and the 'free nurburgring you can download nao'... its just his personality I guess.

I sorta think they have good intentions and obviously buckets of cash due to the Ford GT and Mr. Ford himself but again, I think MS just go thru the motions. A very quick few minutes on F6, car comes down, car goes up, onto Gears Of Black etc.

Its always been this way. They both need Forza 6 and GT7 to tick that box but it doesnt bring the same level of hype as the other titles.

I dont think I've ever seen anyone explode over driving sims/games like they do with other games. See Sony's E3 performance. Or Rare. People just dont seem to get that excited (outside of this place).

I'm gonna trade PCars whilst it still has some value. I need this Day 1 and the full package.

The great thing about PBR is that they don't have to tune cars and tracks graphics for each new installment anymore, it just works and works with any lighting conditions you throw at it. 10 tracks is impressive for 2 years of work, Forza 4 only got 5 new for example and lost a couple in the process. I'm still wondering just how big this game is gonna be, Forza 5 is already 40 gigs, with 100+ more cars and 10 tracks I think it will exceed the limits of Bluray and end up in the 60 gig ballpark.
I also have a small hope they will have some track expansions this time around too, 3 new tracks to add to that 26 track roster and it's gonna be super sweet.

I remembered what Forza 6 windshield effects reminded me of.
