I think many Americans could really benefit from learning US history subjects in other countries. Gives you a whole different outlook on the US. My sociology class about American racism is really eye opening.

Mind you, I have taken AP classes in the US about US history and have never learned all of the wrong that the US has done. I'm learning it now, in an American Philadelphia based school, from an American teacher.

Aside from the exhaust that looks awesome. GT5 fails on the tail pipes as well.

edit: now that i'm looking at it. The exhaust might just look strange because of the angle of the image.

No It was people on this forum who I thought would keep it real that are so amazed about the physics. See the problem is I like FM series how many people on this forum can say they give a honest chance for both games. All you have to do is ask my bank account on how I feel about this game. I have a Xbox, but I bought the new one just for FM to be update. I have my Fanatic wheel also, If you guys are happy with the attempt FM team did with the physics god bless you I am not.

That's called common sense, Turn 10 is releasing a "DAY (Or WEEK) ONE DLC" that's called holding back content so your user-base will pay for said content. PD are releasing their first full fledged (Discounting 1.06) update 10 months after initial release, that suggests that they were actually working on it AFTER the game released. If PD had this contents BEFORE the game released they would have released it when people still "had interest in the game" according to you guys, if they released it then they would have made money. No no no wait this is FREE, is it not? am i dreaming? a Dev holding back FREE content for when it's rival releases, especially when they have actual DLC releasing the same month. Maybe they should just release this (Spec II) Tomorrow and release the DLC on October 11 (The same thing Turn 10 did back in November).

This comment is from Gaf (It's aimed at people who can never be appreciative): If you complain that this update is not good enough, then you are not good enough for GT5. Yes the game came out flawed, but this amount of post launch support FOR FREE is almost unprecedented.

All people are asking for is a backup of your claim. Nor I, or the other people argue anything about the physics with you.

All we asked is a video of you full throttle out of the turns with tons of grip. I find it amazing, and would like to see it. Whats wrong with that?

Well, we still think PD didnt listen to US, neither did Turn 10 regarding the forza 3. Differance between we and you, is that we can criticize Turn 10 and forza, while you cant do the same with PD and Kaz, because you think he is some kind of Guru..

On another hand, despite announcements how Simulation mode will allow for the 100% "free of assists" driving, I can say it is just not the case. Noticeable amount of assistance is still here, although not even close to level presented in Forza 3. Steering becomes non-linear instantly when you start to loose the control over car, and the Magic Hand of Forza Fairies™ is still here. If you want to deliberately spin the car, you really have to make an effort - and spinning a F458 with all assists off in full-acceleration should be a given. It is not unfortunately.

I really hope that full game will allow that all assists can really be disabled for good, or that 900-wheel community will become vocal enough in order to T10 give us decent amount of control of the car in some update. So, one great thing regarding all this "VS" nonsense have been tackled in my book, and I have high hopes that assisted linear-steering will be addressed in some patches or such.

Sounds like you hated FM3s physics with a passion back then, and prefer to play GT.. The fact you bought another Xbox and expected FM4 to be anything other then an evolution of FM3 seems really irrational, hence my comments.

As for impartiality, stop making me laugh, the search function shows you have clear likes/dislikes like the rest of us...

Dan Greenawalt has already confirmed there is no assist. It is a compatibility issue with 900 degree Fanatec wheels.

So if you do not know what you are talking about..... drop it.
 
I don't particuly agree with Amar on a number of things.
I've said this to him with regards to Rose tinted spectacles etc.

Nothing personal Amar understands and I'm cool with him.

Standard cockpit view being a highlight. Accusing me of lying over a digital copy of GTPrologue was probably one of the lower ones.

Phil are you serious? I'm sorry I didn't give up on the series and that I believed T10 on how they made the game more simulation, and how Dan was pumping me up with the new tire physics talk I'm so sorry man. :rolleyes:

If you aren't just pretending to be the victim, then I think you've now learnt a valuable lesson, that its normal for same Gen iterations of games to not change that much... GT5 was not radically different to GT5p even with reworked physics, Shift 2 felt similar to shift...

No one else was expecting it to feel so radically different, I'm sorry you had to learn this the hard way...

You are crazy... LOL.. :)

FM4 is a nice improvement on FM3, but it still feels similar in many ways...

The same way that GT5 doesn't feel a million miles different to GT5p, just better in a few ways..

You sound like you wanted FM to feel GT or some other game, that was never going to happen.

I have high expectations and support all driving games, I just keep my expectations in check, or I'd end up disappointed in many games, and I'd onlly have myself to blame...

It is doable, one of my main complaints with Forza 3 and Forza 4 that traction is really high and cars are usually easy to keep in control.
