Oh really? well i guess it's cool that Turn 10 are holding back content so they can charge you. Right? right?? no? yes? maybe?.
So, we can agree, then, that T10 and PD are both guilty of holding content back? Which was something I've read T10 being accused of, while PD was held as the perfect example of a developer that doesn't do that.

I don't want to call you stupid but you are displaying the symptoms of stupidity, so Kaz magically knew when Forza 4 was releasing back in 2010?. You don't like GT5, you never did. If you will just admit that we can all move on, nothing wrong in not liking a game.

Oh really? well i guess it's cool that Turn 10 are holding back content so they can charge you. Right? right?? no? yes? maybe?.

That is a stupid statement, and I think you know why.

Id rather buy content for the next 12 months, then wait a year for an update that still doesnt add things stated on the box. You know, we are talking about things that are getting held back right? Well maybe Spec 3.0 will add the leaderboards and car customization...

Yeah, yeah, we all know this. PD has so little guys and so little time. And it's entirely not their fault that they didn't staff up in time.

I suppose it was the €vil M$ €mpire that halted those plans...

Just to add to what you've already said here; People giving PD a free pass for not having enough people on staff, that excuse no longer holds any weight, since they've in the last year, increased their staff and moved into a new, larger office. In fact they have two studios now.

This still puts them probably 2-3 times short how big Turn 10 was globally 2 years ago.

@LUMINIS

Referring to Kaz, it's not just something he did a decade ago, it's the whole series. And to understand people that put hard work into what they've done in the past and continue to do in the now is still commendable. So you have nothing you trying to get at. He's respected in the gaming industry, that's truth. It's not a big deal, just the way things played out for him.

I've already stated Luminess, that the update was most like(yes it was) to coincide with FM4 release date, it's obvious. And it's just a business move that all business acknowledge, especially since Forza did this last year, it's really not that big of a deal as I've stated, it's just business.

AND how can you say they held content back LUMI LOL

WE ARE GETTING SPEC 2.0 FOR FREE, wheres the incentive in that.

Now the DLC. Is just what it is. DLC. Paid for work. not released a month after like forza but 10 months.

They can go higher, Last year people where saying how come FM3 didn't have 16 plus cars. Many people where saying the Xbox is to limited blah blah FM4 same system 16 cars on the track (12 on the demo) get my drift. I don't know unlike many people here I can play both games and enjoy them both, I have wheels for both system also. So there is no hating my problem is T10 gets me all hyped with this new tire system, simulation steering and when I play the game the driving blahhh. I just don't get how people on here are satisfied with this.

Sounds to me like you just naturally have a physics criteria list that suits other games. You say T10 got you hyped about the new physics, and when they deliver something that is a noticeable improvement on FM3, you are surprised...

Clearly you want the physics to match the feel of another game, because that feel is what you like or perceive as more realistic, that was never going to happen...

I massively enjoyed FM4's physics (PWTS @ 270 degrees) it still has a bit of forgivingness to it, but I don't let it get in the way of what is a very rewarding and enjoyable sense of driving the car...

I hope they sort out the 900 degree issue, but something tells me that it wont make any difference to you, you just prefer something else...

All info I can find does not point to T10 doing anything when GT5 was released, can you expand on what you think they did? Admittedly, my info was Wikipedia and Google...

This will get swamped over but anyway.

Why doesn't OCT 11th be known as a global truce day.

Forza lovers get there game and happy.
GT get spec 2 and happy
Players of both just get on with it.

One whole day without bickering. Happiness throughout all of console land.
Wouldn't that be a nice refreshing change?

OCT 12th. Kick off again.

I hope your right, but in reality that will probably be the worst day of bickering in the history of this thread.

So, this basically goes for everyone who works a lot in the gaming industry, I guess?

Pretty much what I've been saying.

AND how can you say they held content back LUMI LOL
How? Well, like this:
I've already stated Luminess, that the update was most like(yes it was) to coincide with FM4 release date
Simple, really.
WE ARE GETTING SPEC 2.0 FOR FREE, wheres the incentive in that.
Business move? Coinciding with FM4's release? Basically, what you just said yourself?

Now the DLC. Is just what it is. DLC. Paid for work. not released a month after like forza but 10 months.
Which, coincidently, is also announced for GT5, now, which people seemed to think of pretty highly of.

And the initial point still stands: I totally can't see any developer, even PD, work that slow to take a year to release an update like that a year in. That's exactly why I brought it up in the first place, remember?

You can try to spin this argument into a "T10's worse LOL" thing as much as you want, won't change a thing about what I initially said.

This will get swamped over but anyway.

I support this. Well, I won't be here to take part in any flamewars, anyways. Gonna be busy playing FM4... And spending some time with my GF, if I can't help it

I dont see anything in Spec 2.0 apart from being able to save endurance races that actually adds anything useful to the game.

And why would i be bothering with those events if i can be playing Forza 4's World Tour mode/Rivals Mode???

This patch will have no effect on F4's sales performance, people who wanted this game last week and own GT will still want it after the release of the Spec 2.0 news.

This is a silly debate.

I hope your right, but in reality that will probably be the worst day of bickering in the history of this thread.

I just think it's all a bit silly now.
We have our preferences but ultimately we all love sim type car games.

I don't play shooters, or mainstream titles.
Play a bit of nintendo with the family, not ashamed to admit.

Really deep down we all like the same sort of game car wise.

Honestly, I believe it's more console bitterness or whatever you want to call it.
If GT and Forza were on Xbox and PS alike. You would be all over both titles as car lovers.
(not directed at you Chris).

Owners of only one console generally feel the need to defend...... Well I'm not sure what really. It just spirals from there.
That's my theory. Not the games it's the bloody consoles.

NO LUMI, not everyone in the industry, but the people that have developed strong on going franchises. Can it be more obvious.

THE SPEC 2 is FREE LUMINIS, there's no reason to hold that game created content since it's FREE! It's things that have been adjusted throughout this past 10 months.

THERES NO INCENTIVE TO HOLD IT BACK IF IT"S FREE. Can things get more obvious.

Now DLC, that's a possiblity, BUT as we all know not everything was able to be finished on time for GT5. Cars/tracks. So not like they held it back, but it's possible they considered what they finish within these past 10 months, to coincide with the release date of Forza, ALTHOUGH, the DLC doesn't even come out on Forza release date. Also I doubt it all this coulda been just dropped on us, as we've already had a numerous amount of server maintenance updates to prepare for this.

I never said T10 was worse with DLC, but given their track record you can be the judge, and this being the FIRST TIME a GT game has ever offered DLC, then much is to be considered.

Please stop moaning about the release day of Spec 2.0 T10 did the same thing last years who really cars. We need to write Dan to fix the driving in FM4, I'm so disappointed, I'm praying the game driving wise feels different in it real state.

Dan is already of aware of the issue on 900 deg. Fanatec wheels.

As is Thomas, the CEO of Fanatec.

While you are busy here whining multiple times about an assist in every post you make the adults were busy getting things done. So, drop it.

JDM. What's your gamer tag. Do I have you on my list? PM me if you want to keep it secret.

Or tell me to go away of course.

Stop trying bro, I'm flooring the 458 out of turns it has tons of grip in stock form. If your happy with the physics good for you I don't.

What's wrong with the driving in FM4? It's fantastic, and actually better than GT5, which I didn't think would be possible, but T10 seriously pulled it off.

Well, maybe you run with all aids on, thats why? Haha 💡

He has to, that's the only thing I can think of. Having played around with the 458 myself, without any aids, and simulation driving on a 900 degree wheel, the 458 will absolutely spin out. That Ferrari is absolutely true to real life with all of the aids turned off.

I would love to see a video of that with the telemetry screen up.

Great. Can I have your gamer tag you must be putting in some top times.

Thanks.

He didn't know about it in 2010 but he has known about it for a solid 6 months now (which im sure they didn't even start working on it until after the release date of FM4 was announced). It was definitely done on the same day for a reason which I stated on the last page. If GT5 didn't have a major update now then they would risk losing a good portion of it's current players to people that have both systems like most of the people in the FM section of the forums. Now with Spec2 coming out they won't risk as much of a loss of it's players to FM.

PD is going to be doing the same thing. It's called DLC. Almost every game does it these days.

Keypoint: "Holding back". PD are not holding anything back, that is common sense. Otherwise they would have released this whole thing earlier.

And you work for PD and know for a fact? No, I didnt think so. Thats called assuming.

Are you serious so now I have to put a video up give people my gamer tag who never asked me for it until I start my displeasure with FM4 because i'm complaining about FM wow.

Great. Can I have your gamer tag you must be putting in some top times.

Thanks.
@ spagetti I though you where better than that Bro , just keep it real I rather you just say I don't think you played the then try to come at me on some "you must be putting some serious lap times"

I asked you for your tag ages ago.
If you don't want to participate in rivals that's your choice.

I remember you saying you borrow your brothers Xbox, that might be the issue. No need to be defensive.

Well making a claim that you are coming out of corners full throttle and not sliding is what I would call amazing driving. I would like to do that as well.

It shouldnt be hard to post, even a phone cam would be awesome.

People like to see statements backed up I believe.

Not for me you don't, your faux surprise about FM4s physics could have been seen by a blind man stood on the moon... I believe you 'bro'...
👍

Hahah, amazing; you and a few others were asking me to do this exact thing in the drop GT5 thread, now all of a sudden it's not okay?
