You are crazy... LOL..
FM4 is a nice improvement on FM3, but it still feels similar in many ways...
The same way that GT5 doesn't feel a million miles different to GT5p, just better in a few ways..
You sound like you wanted FM to feel GT or some other game, that was never going to happen.
saidur_aliIt is doable, one of my main complaints with Forza 3 and Forza 4 that traction is really high and cars are usually easy to keep in control.
Huh, the only thing that is similar to forza 3 according to me regarding the physics is the traction when you launch, i dont like the tires getting loose that easily. In gt5 you can launch your car as you want, it doesnt matter if you wheelspin, your car stays in a straight line. I feel throttle controll is much more easy in gt5 some how.

I actually found GT5P to feel better for some reason.
Well, i dont know about that, regarding forza 3. In forza 3 it was impossible to keep the car straight when tires slipped, specially on rwd cars. That combined with drag mode, uhhhh hope we dont see problem in fm4.The way GT5 does it though is not realistic. FM3's is a lot more real, and that's the only thing that matters.

They feel the same to me
I don't get it
Don't get me wrong I totally believe you. I do think they are extremely alike. I just felt more connected to the road in GT5P. Maybe it's all in my head. idk. The biggest thing I noticed was I loved driving the Ferrari F1 car in GT5P. In GT5 I didn't like it half as much. The FFB to me wasn't the same. In GT5P it was intense and in GT5 it felt pretty ordinary and disconnected.
So a car that isnt easy to control = good physics?
Look, I was asking for a video from JDM (who said he will) when he said the 458 is able to be full throttle out of corners with tons of grip. Cool. I cant seem to do it and would like to see it done. I am not arguing over physics, so why do people keep quoting me, and bringing it up?
I could see where you get that. I have a Fanatec GT3. So i turned the FFB all the way up and it feels pretty good.

Phil I wanted FM4 to feel like a simulator, your not going to get me on some fan boy stuff, as a game I never has a problem with FM series and they have improved many things in the series, its the driving that is killing me. 👍
It was with my DFGT. I will have to give it another go with the TurboS the morning of spec2 after I download the update since I hardly played any GT5 since getting my new wheel a few weeks ago.
I don't know much about the Turbo S. That's the cheaper alternative to the GT3 and 2 right? Does it have the ability to adjust settings on the wheel?
The TurboS is actually a limited addition wheel that has the same exact internals as the GT2. The only thing different is the wheel rim styling. Leather vs Alcantara being the main one.
I must be thinking about the Carrera?
You wanted it to feel like your idea of a simulator... these are games we are talking about, all have many flaws as simulators..
Again, you've stated in black and white you prefer GT5 and go to that as its a better simulator (for you), yet as much as it does some things better then FM4, it also does many things wrong. (Or missing)....
All I'm saying is its just personal reference, you insist that its all absolute..
Anyhoo.. I'm OK that your opinion is you don't like it.. We all like different things, but arguing its anything other then preference will just run and run..
Only in first gear when you are launching traction is not high, you get a lot of wheelspin but usually going into 2nd solves this to get good traction off the line.Huh, the only thing that is similar to forza 3 according to me regarding the physics is the traction when you launch, i dont like the tires getting loose that easily. "It is doable, one of my main complaints with Forza 3 and Forza 4 that traction is really high and cars are usually easy to keep in control." - Well, yes, but not on straight line man, thats where they screwed up i think.
I realise this:Not knocking your opinion.
For every grippy comment there's a too slippy comment.
The reverse is true also.

Nope, don't agree with that. However physics that make losing control a car with bad driving very hard is not very good IMO, maybe it is the magic steering in Forza or the high traction in the game that makes it easy to recover mistakes that should not be really possible to do.
I understand, just sticking up for him on the too grippy side although it might be wrong to say that, I'll say high traction.
I don't like the driving that's it FM as a game is great, driving In My opinion has to improve. Do you have all the FM games BTW?
Also Phil to be honest with you it was nice to debate with you If I called you anything or made you feel a certain way I am sorry, you are the few people on here who can actually debate like an adult. 👍
JDMKING13Thats all I'm saying 👍
Yeah, i was actually going to put that in my post. The Carrera is the cheaper one that you are thinking of which is only PS3 and PC compatible. The TurboS is also xbox 360 compatible just like the GT2.
