Come now!
This is a fun car... It's well suited on the tracks chosen.

It was in the OCD a few weeks back, so I'm thinking that many should have it...
And I have spares if anyone needs. :embarrassed:)

I am going to put myself down for this. Though, since this is during the day I might not be able to participate if family stuff comes up. If you take exception to this I understand, but please speak up so as I know not to put myself down for tentative.

Also, I will need to scrounge up a car for this event.

Nothing is ever written in stone!
I mean it would be one thing if people signed up for bunches of races and never showed up to any at all. LOL
But things can happen. *sigh* Alas, gt5 cannot be a priority. (At least that's what I keep being told. lol)

Hey guys, i'd like to join in but I've got a few questions. Who do I add to join the lobby? When I have that account added, do I just join in at one of the times in the original post?

Welcome.

You send a FR to the club lounge account: PSN: VCRC

But note:

Race will be hosted in the VCRC Lounge, add PSN: VCRC
Note: The VCRC account is just the club lounge account. It will rarely be signed on.
Get the FR in a.s.a.p. to assure acceptance in advance of racing.
In order to check the league lounge, you must click on the coffee cup,
and wait for the room content list to present.
No yellow people icon will show, even when the room is full.

So once your FR has been accepted to the VCRC account... It will be in your community list. You click on VCRC, as you would any other friend.
Except that there won't be a yellow dot lit up (because the acct is rarely signed on), and there won't be a yellow people heads icon next to the coffee cup - as there is with your other friends when they're in a lounge or lobby... because the account is not signed on.
BUT, you just click on the cup, and it will bring up the information about the lounge. If people are in it, the driver content list will present just like for lounges or lobbies.

Hope this explains it? Let me know if not.
(Then probably someone else can explain it better than I can.) :guilty:

Edit: You won't see the VCRC in the community list until I get a chance to accept the FR, fyi. 👍
Once it's there it'll make more sense.

Awesome. The short name must a confused me a bit. But the schedule. How does that work out? Just join the lounge at nine on the 4th?

Only if you're in the Pacific Standard Time Zone!

I point this out because you have Georgia under your gtp name!
I may not have even had my coffee yet when it's 9am Sunday in Georgia. ;)

March 4th - Sunday 9am PST / 12pm noon EST / 5pm GMT / 6pm CET

All 4 times are "at the same time", if that makes sense.

PST = U.S. Pacific Standard Time (like California or Seattle)
EST = U.S. Eastern Standard Time (like New York or Florida)
GMT = (UTC) Greenwich Mean Time (like London or Belfast)
CET = Central European Time (like Paris or Copenhagen)

So you want to make sure you're looking at your time zone in the schedule.

Time zones are by far the most puzzling part of organizing online races!! :boggled:
Though the private club lounge account issue is probably a close 2nd.

Wow. I am blind. I was just running through some threads and completely disregarded the time zones. Making me feel stupid here! Anyways, I understand and thanks for the very in depth responses, best I've seen in a while!! I got it now. Thanks a lot.

No problem.
Believe me, the whole time zone thing is a stumper. Everyone speaks of their own time... and it's a different time depending on where they are.
It's a big pet peeve of mine if race hosts don't clearly post the time zone specified in their schedule. So I try to be as clear as possible. But it's really confusing.
It will be even more confusing once some people move on different dates into Daylight Savings Time ... and some not at all.

I see ya man. Ill for sure take that into consideration next time I join something. Alright, thanks again. And a good night for me and you in a couple hours!

Work schedule changed and I can actually make this one... Yay!

No, wait. Were you invited to this?? Dang riff-raff always seems to find their way in, I think we need better security around here.

:)

BTW, looks like a special VCRC batch of cars has been bestowed upon our OCD

Psh... You were invited to this? I'm not sure if I wanna race anymore. :dopey:

BrandonW77
I tell ya what, how about you stay in the back of the field and I'll stay in the front, keep out of each others way. 👍

I think I'm gonna make it a point to "pit maneuver" you in every race!
