2011 Brazilian Grand Prix

Very interesting. It would certainly explain a lot.

And did Webber have this?

I doubt it, and it proves that RBR is focusing on Vettel only.

Oooh, that track looks quite amazing to try it out! I guess it was just a bit too fast and too long for the current cars? It would have been interesting to see if it would create more overtaking moves with the old style layout.

Just too fast, Spa is 7Km long but it does not have 5 long straights.

Yep that's right. Because you think he didn't have it (with zero evidence) that proves that RBR were focussing exclusively on Vettel. That sure convinced me. They have the same car, Vettel is better. Swallow it.

Vettel gaining a 5 second lead at the end of lap 1, while Webber struggles.

Even with Webbers skill he still should be able to get to second place and stay their with this system without being swamped by Massa, Alonso and Hamilton.

The article states that:

"Interestingly, the story points out that Vettel has often backed off significantly at the end of formation laps, causing those who have to adjust to the speed of the pole position man to lose tyre temperature."

Not to mention that Webber has pretty much accepted that his starts haven't been good enough and would have complained or attempted to do something about it if he wasn't being given the same system.

Seriously? Quali is on now and no one is discussing it?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing.

Anyway Button is the fastest on the first part of the qualy, Senna is getting himself to the second part of the qualy, and rain expected for the second part of the qualy.

This might be the last qualifying session for Team Lotus, currently they're doing great! Just 4 tenths off Maldonado and 5 tenths off Kobayashi. Maybe Maldonado was on Mediums while Kovalainen was on Softs but still a good show.

EDIT: And both the HRTs are ahead of the Virgins...

It's confirmed, they are going to be called cater ham next year. 7 mins of Q2 left. Everyone is trying to set laps now incase it rains.

Rosberg must have done an awesome lap. Looking at Hamilton's onboard, he seems to be a tad too late on the power and it is costing him time. Hopefully come Q3, they go flat out with the high downforce engine mode.

Massa is having a bit of trouble and will only have one lap, currently in 8th. Schumacher pushes Di Resta into 11th.

So the way as it stands now, pace-wise it seems like Toro Rosso has a better chance to be ahead of Sauber in the constructors championship. However as recently reported in Q2 Buemi suffered a power loss of some kind.

Di Resta, Barrichello, Alguersauri, Buemi, Petrov, Kobayashi and Perez were all knocked out in Q2 (in order)

Sebastian Vettel: Greatest qualifier in Formula One history.

Vettel has 30 poles, the record is 68 by Michael Schumacher.
He now has the record for most pole positions in a season. (15)

I think Hamilton was losing time mainly in Turn 11 & 13 going by the Q2 onboard.

Well done to Vettel on getting 15 poles.

Off topic: You're a Bayern München fan? An American liking soccer?

Heck yeah! I'm also a Liverpool fan. There's quite a few soccer fans in the US. The MLS has gotten very popular in the last few years now that the level of play is getting better.

Right. But Schumacher didn't get a single pole until he was 25. Vettel, who's 24 already has nearly half of Michael's career total. It's well inside the realm of possibility to think that given a few more years of this form, he could very well pass Schumy's career total well before turning 30. Nobody can put down a lap when it really counts as well as Seb.
