New CT-05 nose:

Looks like they didn't want to do any crash testing.

Am I the only one who thinks that new nose looks superb? To me it looks very similar to the noses seen on early 90's F1 cars; just a little slimmer at the bottom, and with a few extra angles on it. For me personally the fact that the top half of the nose merges into the 'shlong' makes a huge difference.

So I'm guessing there is a thread on this since I have been extremely busy and haven't had time to look (just answering alerts and then heading off), but good bye and good riddance LDM. My theory is this, Bell will be used as a Newey and Lowe figure in Ferrari, while Mattiacci is asked to become the big boss of the Motorsports division or better yet taking LDM's job which is more than just F1.

And yeah that's about it then.

Oh and the limit on radio help/messages should be interesting

How have they made it look worse?

Also it is in line with next years regs. So if that looks worse to you than the lot this year (which I've come to like the praying mantis/bird beak noses) then I guess it's only getting worse for the picky.

Oh why am I not surprised
It's probably a good thing. For one, the current system does allow for some development simply to prevent teams from being stuck with bad engines. And more importantly, any unrestricted in-season development is only going to drive up costs, and who do you think is going to pay for that? The Ferrari 059/3 needs work, and with the demise of Marussua, only Ferrari and Sauber use that engine. Do you think Ferrari will magnanimously shoulder all of the associated costs of development, or pass as much if it as they can to Sauber?

Oh I know, I'm just being sarcastic really. I don't care either way, but to be honest I figured talks would only go so far and then someone would have an excuse to cut them short. If it wasn't Marussia and Caterham becoming non-existent it would have been something else.

Also if Ferrari really want to claw back up the tech ladder they'll take the cost themselves and then have some hybrid parts be tested by Sauber through winter testing and early next season. If they cared about parts being tested I'm sure they could have saved Marussia for the remainder of the year just to solely test parts out in the last few races and then let them fade away after or collect the prize money and then fade away later on next year.

It's been speculated that while they have improved the engine, Honda's engine is comparable to where Mercedes was this year.

Force India testing the new Info Wing designed by Hamilton's father:

Looking for more pics to to validate its visibility from certain distances.

Williams using a LCD display now. Red Bull should follow, I guess.

Incomplete 2015 Marussia car model uncovered. The front area definitely looks more steeper and narrow. Too narrow, you can see bulges from the push rod area.

I see W05-esque endplates on the front wing.

Anyone have a link to any info regarding new nose designs?

Is that for driver number visibility or position number like sports cars?

I believe it's for a number of uses.

Hamilton Sr hopes the Info Wing will improve the spectator experience of F1 by using LEDs to display race information, such as a driver's name, position and the tyre compound they are using.

I'd have thought that the brightly coloured rings around the edge of the tyres were a better visual clue to the compound though...
