2015 Formula 1 Grosser Preis Von Österreich

For Rosberg, yes. For Hamilton, I'm not so sure - there was no obvious fault; the car simply snapped around at Turn 1. But Sky were happy to declare it a mechanical fault before they even knew where he had gone off.
All they said was that the rear brakes snapped out on him, which is what happened, same thing that happened to Hamilton last year in Qual.

It would be his fault though as the driver can play with the Brake Bias.

Haters are going to hate anyway, whether it is fabricating stuff or not. Always fascinating the kind of hate Hamilton gets in comment sections and forum posts.

It does get a bit wearing, but Sky are a UK company so its only natural they side towards the UK drivers. The BBC were exactly the same.

Anyway what I'm often disappointed about with Sky is they have a F1 channel and often don't show the pole lap :boggled:.
The pictures are provided by FOM. Sky have no input on what is shown from the track.

I understand if Sky F1 said what prisonermonkeys said he may have a point but they didn't on a second look now to check. They just found reasons why both drivers may have made them mistakes but not blaming the car for either.

They do have option to show what they want though, how would they do analysis if they don't have access to the footage and only can show it when FOM show it? Other TV channels seem to show it and people post it on YouTube. Shouldn't really have to be going on YouTube to look at it first, even Sky website hasn't been updated with it on there yet. Shocking considering they have their own F1 channel.

I know they're a British company, but surely there should be some awareness of the fact that they supply commentary for the world feed. It gets very frustrating when all we get is "Hamilton, Hamilton, Hamilton". It's even worse in the GP2 Series where the commentators were blatantly talking Alex Lynn up as a potential race winner when it was immediately obvious that he had to work for a podium.

It is a pole shootout at the end of the day and a WDC fight going on, if anything they were downplaying Lewis chances. I kept up hope he would step up though. We also get "Rosberg, Rosberg, Rosberg" too and for quite a lot of years "Vettel, Vettel, Vettel" and "Alonso, Alonso, Alonso". I mean would you rather they talked about Verstappen vs Kvyat instead of Hamilton vs Rosberg in Q3 more in coverage they gave? I think a WDC fight is more interesting personally.

Sky do not provide the world feed. FOM supply that. Countries can decide to buy Sky's programming instead of supplying their own but any issues that causes is hardly Sky's fault. You need to blame your own TV channels for not making their own programmes.

Although the English are never very considerate that their TV is watched by other countries. I have first hand experience...

As a dutchman I hope it is gonna rain tomorrow to give Max a big chance for points. He looked very quick at the beginning of q1 (as was his teammate)

Here's the starting grid for tomorrow:

No more news about the SUV murder at the Graz F1 event, police are reporting that the perpetrator was "mentally disturbed" and so far the death toll remains at 3 with several others critically injured :(

Kimi had a Kimi moment, didn't he? I didn't get to see qualifying as they don't have the technology to feed it to the back of eyelids.

He pitted the car despite having an opportunity to do another fast lap. Ferrari stated that there was no problem with the car. Read into that what you will...

Raikkonen says that the team sent him out too late. Onto a drying track where no lap time was safe ...

Either a gross mis-communication or

He had a moment...

It's always hard to say with Raikkonen.

Showers look probable in the race, with expected afternoon Showers.

Weather forecast from a few minutes ago (for Graz, but close enough), shower probability seems closer to the race start.

Google changes quite a bit every hour, but it's usually correct in the end.

I hope to see rain right after the first round of pitstops or during the warm up lap once the teams are off the grid, hopefully it comes down a lot harder than the teams thought. It would at least make the race interesting.

This track dries up quite slowly(helped by the cold weather), if the track is full on wet then I think it would take awhile for it dry up even if it doesn't rain again.

Keep in mind qualifying started with a track that was just patchy wet areas and it took most of the session to dry up.

If the track can start at Full Wet Tyre wetness and then have some light rain at around 50-60% distance the track should be very slippery for the entire race.

That's all I heard them say too. Still, the story now is that the team say it may not have been Hamilton's fault.

Interesting to see through FPs and Q that all the drivers are finding the track a challenge, Canada wasn't the greatest of races but I think we could see some surprises in Austria.

In another story Sainz Jr has gone for a high-downforce setup anticipating rain. I think that even in drier conditions that might help with the tyres, we could see a consistent run from the STR.

I've never seen someone so happy about a 25-place grid penalty... What drugs have McLaren-Honda given Alonso?
