I really hope Ford come together next year.

Coulthard just doesn't seem to be consistent enough to help Scotty out at front like Whincup can do for SVG.

Also, aren't team orders banned?

Man what a crazy weekend at Pukekohe  Such a great little track !
Was great to see Shane and Scotty giving it everything.

I heard Shane got a bit of 🤬 for his antics after the race on Saturday... The way I look at it, it was actually kinda funny, but the good thing is that on track their battles are hard but respectful, Shane saved the dirty tricks for after the race had finished.

Not entirely happy with the team orders thing, but I guess any team manager would've done the exact same thing.
The spinning wheels at the pit stop, well I really dont know what to think, I guess going by previous rulings he should've been penalised...But not upset as at least it means the results were kinda decided on track rather than the officials office.

As a Kiwi I just want Kiwi's to win the championship, now it's 2 kiwi's going for it I really dont know who to go for ? ...But I think I'm going for Scotty as Shane already has one. But this is where I think Shane might just pinch this, he has the experience of winning one already and he has 2 team mates to support him. Unfortunately Scotty is getting no support, so I guess fingers crossed Fabian can pull out some speed and support him. Also a little concerned about DJR, they had a easy opportunity to hold up Shane at the pit stops this weekend and made a complete mess of it, and from memory it's not the first time they have stuffed things like that up this year...They'll need to be at their absolute best to top RBR.

Oh well...Roll on the final round, it's going to be a nail biter, just like last year !

He was the best performer across the weekend, so I wouldn't say it's biased.

*The results wouldn't be skewed by the SVG/Triple Eight haters club at all, would it?

Try not to take too much stock in Auto Action reporting. But apparently DJRTP are taking the Mustang down to Phillip Island for it's first test at the end of this week. Hopefully they might release a few images of it.
It may very well be true 👍. https://www.speedcafe.com/2018/11/07/mustang-supercar-set-for-private-shakedown/

Edit: Also interesting take by Erebus on last weekends SVG incident (and one I happen to agree with). https://www.speedcafe.com/2018/11/06/erebus-concerned-by-handling-of-spinning-wheels-incident/

And Dutton says “We have chosen not to throw stones this weekend with areas that other people have gotten a little bit wrong, because that’s not what we focus on.”
Well maybe not on that weekend, but at Mt. P they were very quick to jump on Erebus for the spinning wheels (the first instance that was cleared).

T8 have always been quick to jump on other teams in situations like that. Not so much when they're at fault.

Oh, hey here we go. Still not a fan of the facelift on the new Mustang but it looks pretty good in race trim.

Jesus that’s a wing and a half. I’m trying to work it out, but something looks off about the shape of it.
Same. Wondering if the camo is playing with our eyes.

And holy hell on the wing. Why doesn't the series just go to a spec, trunk mounted wing? This looks ridiculous. Also, definitely time for them to come up with a better looking spec wheel.

It looks like they've flattened the **** out of the front corners and the extra popped up in the roof :odd:. Hope it looks better with a proper livery.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt there was something weird going on. Didn't know if it was the mammoth rear wing, the camo wrap or a combination of the both :odd:
The roof line, to conform with the COTF, essentially it's the same reason the NASCAR cup cars don't work with the Mustang and Camaro and Supra.
They just look wrong don't they? Park them beside their showroom spec equivalent & it does them no favours at all.
Yeah, on second look, the roofline isn't doing it any favours. Hopefully this leads Supercars to allow to the COTF chassis to be modified to suit different bodystlyes in the future.
Once it's confirmed that Camaro is in, I expect many to jump off the Opel train leaving them no option but to fix that damn roofline :yuck: Come to think of it, what's stopping them from doing that now? There's nothing that says the cage has to meet the roofline of the Holdens.

That wing is glorious, and the rear view is hnnnng.

I instantly thought something was off about it too - initially I thought the roofline looked a bit odd but I think it's actually the length of the bonnet that makes the glasshouse look a bit squashed.

All the cars have to be the same dimensions don't they? That seems to the problem WAU are having with designing the Camaro. The roofline doesn't seem to work with control chassis and they're reluctant to modify it too much.
Losing the long snout, Almost makes it look like an Aussie Race Car.

I don't mind it but it does kinda look like someone enlarged a Aussie racing car.

Seeing the roll cage like this, No wonder they use the extra visor tint

Still, I'll get used to it when video breaks out.

Edit: This is what I keep seeing in the front bumper

EDit2: I guess next year's Bathurst 1000 Ford Perfomance speed demonstration, should have a NASCAR Mustang vs the VASC and GT4.

Edit3:
Random thought #4,080: Was there ever a driver to race, competitively, all five COTF Manufacturers?

Nope. I think the closest are Chris Pither and Alex Premat, who have driven the FG X, VF/ZB and S60 - admittedly on a part-time basis.

Yeah that mustang isn't particularly pretty. The roof looks funny, then the headlights are too low, the whole light is below the top of the wheel arch.

It's kind of like a remote control car shell they layed out over the control chassis and the roof was too tall for it to sit right so they did a pie cut behind the door and squeezed it down .
