Gotta admit, really not a fan of these time trials. I mean, you're pushing trying to beat the clock and BAM the slightest touch of a barrier, wall, dirt, grass, wind or whatever and your lap is nullified even if you've already made most of the lap. My patience wears thin with these time trials.
Much prefer the races.

@shaunm80 your tune is masterful. I improved my time by a tick over 3.5 seconds. P#467 right now :D

ZZ11 tune is very stable, but I found it much faster with high RPM turbo, and reduction of power limiter. Still finding that the top guys are maxing out 10 mph faster than me, so I assume that they're running with lower downforce?
Less downforce does make a car faster in a straight line but I find that it unbalances the car too much for my liking. It could also be a different transmission design that helps them get to a top speed faster than mine does. I am glad that you found my tune stable though, that is how I like to tune my cars 99% of the time. :)

I know that stable is not the fastest way, but I get fed up if I keep spinning off, which is what you get with some of the more unstable tunes! The diff settings on your tune are the best ones I've come across for the ZZII - puts the power down very smoothly, even with the increased power from the high RPM turbo.

Cheers!

here is something to play with if ya get bored, and no i am no tuner, hence why it is so rough.

Hahaha , yes it really helps me. And that ghost thing the yellow and red stuff helps me never(turn it off).

So: Vodka and beer,All stuff(racing info) off and go :P

If you hit the walls fall asleep and try again when wake up :P

Was having a hard time trying to beat my previous PB of 1:58.470 earlier today. But thanks () to the settings from @HansDampf, i made a massive improvement to 1:57.347 (DS3/X-throttle, ABS 1) tonight. This just goes to show that setups DOES make a difference and i -for one- wouldn't have guessed that a rear LSD-accel of 55 would make for a nicely controllable car. For what it's worth, here's the settings i was using which are not in the HansDampf-settings: Front DF: 120. Gears: Initial FG: 4350, Max speed to Min, 1st & 2nd to min, 4th: 1.706, 5th & 6th to max, FG to 2600. _Might get someone started, but i'm posting just as much to get any suggestions to improve on it :P Happy hunting folks:gtpflag:

It's funny, I couldn't get HansDampf's settings to work for me, seemed to have a lot of understeer in my hands. The settings that I have been using turn in nice and sharply, which means that I can get on the throttle sooner.

2:00.975 at Mount Panorama and there is still room for improvement for me, but getting nervous when I get on top of the mountain part where I lose a lot of time and I am only 0:03.782 behind @Roweer1 on my friends list, good time mate and I hope to get a bit closer to your time soon :).
