Sam48I spent the majority of my weekend at the track (With a 101 degree fever ). Nonetheless I made the best of what was, and overall it was a pretty good race. I also racked up a good many pictures and much film for my youtube short. Good job to the Action Express boys and Corvette.
Same, except the video part.. Lots of pics though, fantastic weekend.
Sam48Did you check out the GT5 sims at the Nissan both? I had never played GT5 on one of those before, and I thought it was pretty cool.
What!? Damn...
For those that missed it, Speed will re-air all six Hours of the race in about 49 minutes.
(covered nearly the entire thing, inside and outside), I'm hoping that means I will have some shots to show as I took a lot!
Also, it's a really nice area (I stayed in Ithaca, on a neighbouring lake) I might show a shot or two from there too because it's such a pretty place.
Steve Wallace is going to be in the Indianapolis round in the GS class in the #08 Porsche.
This can only be bad for the rest of the field.

Meh, if Vickers managed to last 24 Hours at Le Mans, I think Steven can handle 3 at Indy.
Vickers did try to blow the brakes up though...

Lotus announces its plan to enter the Evora in the new GT GX class for 2013! Happily, we won't even have to wait until 2013 as they already plan to run it this year under the current GT rules.

With ALMS, ELMS, GT1, and GT3 heading down the tube, it's great to see Grand-Am keep growing in popularity, size, and scope.
EDIT: And here's the first look:
Hoping to see some british racing green paint and a couple of yellow stripes on it.
Wait... it's an actual Lotus? *dies*
Sam48Crazy, isn't it? Although it won't be run directly by Lotus, but only sold to teams who want to run it.
Hopefully it won't be like Alex Job's situation in the ALMS. Lotus promised factory support and a brand new Evora GT, both of which he never received...
Given ALMS's current finical status, I would imagine Lotus will attempt to be a bit more loyal to Grand-Am teams since Lotus knows money won't be as big of an issue with them. Lotus also knows that Grand-Am is a growing sport that is also highly competitive (Even more so than the GT ranks of ALMS). In ALMS, Lotus held up the rear of the GT field, but start up teams in Grand-Am such as the APR R8s and FXDD Ferrari are mid pack contenders (Heck, FXDD have already won three races this year). This is where Lotus sees much more potential then.

FXDD Ferrari are mid pack contenders? Last I looked they are leading the series!
Exactly how they are "Mid-pack" Contenders when they are the ones everyone is chasing?
