Anybody out there following the Grand Am?

APR pulled the cover off the sister #52 Audi R8 which is scheduled to debut at the classic Sahlen Six Hours at the Glen. To make it more distinguishable, the #52 R8 sports an inverse livery to the original #51.

:D Same here. I'll be making a short semi professional youtube documentary of the race/race weekend. Should be fun.

I look forward it! This weekend is going to be sweet! Got the D5000 all ready to go :)

Nice to see another Canadian off to the Glen. I'm off to it as well, first time ever - and first time to see Grand Am. Perhaps some people will even see some pictures from it. :P

The Glen is hard to find a good spot to shoot from, then again I didn't move around much last year.. I'm assuming you're going to shoot as well right?

So I've heard, as are all those courses with high fences. I will do my best to make my way around the whole thing though, as I do with other tracks. I will shoot yes! But I'm quite particular...

After some amateur photoshopping, I made a spotter guide for the Sahlen Six Hours. Now, not all of the names apply as some are from the Rolex 24, and the APR was a copy/paste since I didn't feel like designing the #52. This guide also excludes some odd entries which are part time series runners. Besides these minor technicalities  It's 100% spot on. :D

No, the 02 will run the Chevron livery at IMS for the final round of the NAEC. I was really hoping they would run it at WGI, but for reasons I've yet to discern, they aren't

They announced it at Road America according to SPEED..?

Good looking GT Field. It'd be nice to see Turner bring out a second M3, but it's still a nice group of brands.

I have the official entry list, and the 02 is not there. However, the #49 Sahlen Mazda was not on the list, yet I included it because I found test day images on WGI's Facebook page showing the #49 being unloaded at the track. So I guess you never know. I'll be at the track bright and early so I'll know for sure before to long.

I'm ready to go! Leaving early tommrrow morning! Enjoy your weekend at the Glen guys! This is my first endurance race in person so obviously I'm really looking forward to it.

Only in Grand-Am will you see a pace car have damage

Been watching all day . . . down to the last fifteen minutes now.

Great battle here between Barborsa and Gurney. A minute to go and Corvette Vs Corvette.

I'm guessing this is the official Rolex/Grand Am thread now?

At any rate.. AWESOME finish.. sad the Red Dragon didn't finish first, but still I was at the edge of my seat.

Yeah, the Red Dragon (#99 Gainsco Corvette DP) just didn't have enough fire to take down the #9 Corvette DP. The GT traffic didn't trip up the #9 as much as it did the #99. I saw most of the race. I really felt for the Sahlen's Mazda RX-8 but (more importantly) the #44 Porsche as the inside just got barbecued. Highly unusual when the interior of your car catches fire.

Up next... the inaugural Rolex Sportscar Series race around Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That one should be VERY interesting. I think that race airs on July 27.
