I wonder if they could try and work in some sort of safety rating like iracing.
If you're a PC user, there is that minorating -- I've heard good things about it. It's supposedly pretty fair and will keep the a-holes in check because the minorating follows them from server to server that is running minorating. I'm not sure there is a way to cheat it, besides having multiple Steam accounts, maybe? I don't know.I wonder if they could try and work in some sort of safety rating like iracing.
I've run a few races in MR and a few earlier on with SRS and both were good experiences overall. You could tell guys were mostly taking better care with their driving although there was always one guy here or there that was a bit of a pinball. Some things, like the first corner carnage in a big field are still possible of course. I should get back into it myself, been a long time since I did any real racing. You too? OMG... Not only that, but since I damaged my own steering wheel and have been borrowing a friends (I have it a couple of days, he takes it a couple of days, etc..) my driving skills have deteriorated tremendously. I really need to start racing a lot again...even if it's just against the AI - that's a lot better than just doing Track Day's through Content Manager. I just have so much fun doing those because I throw in such a variety of different classes.I've run a few races in MR and a few earlier on with SRS and both were good experiences overall. I know...I know... I gotta get involved. Once I get out of this jam I'm in and I can consistently keep hours and ensure I have the proper equipment I will be there. I promise!!! 👍
And some online racing on Friday nights would be fun too
Winning... more than one way to skin the cat Not sure on the history of MD but this wouldn't be good
I accidentally rear ended another car and was surprised with the outcome... tried again on purpose - posted as a tip for those wanting to win at all costWTF?! Is that you who drove underneath the car near the end? The freakin' car did an ollie over the other in the beginning. I never even thought of trying that when I race!

It's probably not easy to get that part of the physics right, as this seems to be a bit wacky in most sims. Cars flying through the air I mean. I've seen some pretty funny/weird stuff from live coverage of iRacing on Motors TV as well. The commentators politely don't mention anything, but I bet you they are giggling inside. Anyway, if nothing else it makes for some good entertainment. What it is does demonstrate though is the physics and damage engines are faulty.

Exactly. There are many things that they can do well and as long as your tires stay on the road surface, consumer grade components can do a pretty darn good job at simulating the operational behavior of vehicles. Those really goofy things that happen below 3 or 4 MPH ( or is it 3 or 4 KPH?) happen because it's exceptionally hard to calculate accurately physics at very low speeds. Most sims probably just fudge the numbers at 1 or 2 MPH because it doesn't really matter. The car is going to move in the direction you point the nose and you're not going to do laps at 3 MPH. There are obviously some things Kunos doesn't fudge at super low speeds and especially stopped. As is often repeated, "Computers don't like 0" for computational results. I doubt you'll ever hear someone say, "Aww man...I love that new sim Auto Heaven available on PC, but...the 2-3 mph physics suck man!! If it weren't for that, I'd be all over that game..."I'd guess ever single racing game ever created has some element to the physics and damage models that could be considered faulty as it's impossible to create a 100% simulation of reality. It's just a matter of how well the devs minimize them or make them mostly unnoticeable during typical use, some devs do it better than others obviously.
Porsche Carrera S: Awsome, a bit to front heavy at times, but in general a very neutral and balanced car. I slided and I had no problema to catch it. Loved the sound and power delivery.
A front heavy 911??
I feel exactly the same! I am desperate to get my hands on an LMP1-H. Even though Pack II has the amazing 911 GT1 and 962C, the main event for me will be the 919 Hybrid. The 919 Hybrid can't come soon enough

I don't know why, but I was really enjoying this video of someone driving the Moby Dick. Look at how many people can't control the power of the 918...but, I bet they love saying how "I only drive with ALL assists off..." The Moby Dick does sound good in this video though... Crank it up, Fockers!!
On the PC version what are the 4 different bars? Obviously green is accelerator, blue clutch, red brake and is the white car weight distribution? Or is white engine revs?
