I may or may not make it tonight. I have a lot of study to do for an impending job interview on Monday but i may get a hour or two.

1.10 in wet is epic symp! You were really struggling in that practice session this week. I was getting my car around but at a slower pace. Using the right analoge stick on the DS3 for accel helped me a lot.

It was awsome.... well if you were driving a Astra :P lol, ended up with only 5 drivers but which was a bit of a shame. Epic finish with Deathbyrotor beating me by 1 point even though i won 3 of the 5 races :(
 
TEAM VAUXHALL TAKES LEADERSHIP!

The Special Stage of the second season of the DTM Series Championship has caused some major changes in the standings of the Drivers Championship and the Teams Championship as well. It looked like the absence of Goruk freed the drivers of the Vauxhall team from the domination of the TT-R car that was always in front of them. They took this chance and scored big in the 5 races of the Special Stage. It didn't take long to discover that this was a Vauxhall weekend and that the winner would be DEATHBYROTOR or Greennarcotics. But not until the final race!

Great racing guys! The second half of this season is going to be very exciting.

I've got an extra 10kg for next race can i add extra bhp to take pp up to 607 or do i need to keep it at 502bhp? not had extra weight yet so im just checking :)

So what times do you get with that weight?

These are the drivers with penalty weight:
Goruk77: 1160 kg (+60kg)
SymP4000: 1150kg (+30kg)
DEATHBYROTOR: 1120kg (+20kg)
Greennarcotics: 1110kg (+10kg)
 
Didn't really practice yet, just a fast lap on hards, think I get 3'57.xxx but not sure.
This race will be all about draft...
Thursday theres a holiday here in Portugal, so all day practicing...:sly:

EDIT: Maybe 3'57 is to optimistic :lol:, have some practice today, best on hards 3'59.4xx, with the wheel:D, gonna try the pad latter on...

Guys, i wont be there next saturday (july 2) cause i'll be out of town... again ! and honeslty the more i think about it, the more i'm starting to lose interest with GT5... dont know how to say it but I found another racing game that i enjoy more. I'm trully sorry and i hope you're not mad at me.

EFJ, I'm in for any midweek competition but I think we got a time zone issue then. So what do you suggest?
 
Maybe saturdays at 13:00 GMT, we can make same track that dtm. I like very much LMP cars, we can make mini endurance races. We need think about it.
 
I cant do another race series. I can barely keep up with this one. If it wasnt for symp this season would not have taken place.

I should be there tomorrow but who knows. Got so much stuff on at the moment with impending job-less-ness and move 500miles south and looking after kids and wife and so on and so on.....

If you want another series then you can create one yourself and i will happily help you when i can. I might even race if i can but i cant help with running it unfortunatly.

I see goruk on the track about 3 times if i am lucky. 1 time at start (when he is ahead of me), 1 time when he laps me, and 1 time when i pit and he laps me again (sometimes i dont need to pit). So no i am not 'crazy' like goruk, just a little bit 'crazy'.

Guys, the pit stop lap counter, i enter in 11 to 12 lap and i saw a lot of people entering in pits in 12 to 13 lap counter, some people say to watch the lap counter, but .... i dont know now!!!
 
It's about what the lapcounter says when you ENTER the pits. So the last chance in window 2 was at the end of lap 12 (11+1). I will take a look today at the replay if I got time and hope to post the results tonight.

This was probably my last race of this season guys :( I'm going on holiday for a few weeks and will leave next weekend. I hope JT (or somebody else) can take over the organization for the remaining races. I have internet access there but the PS3 stays at home :yuck:
 
yeah the pit window was 4-6 10-12 so you can pit at the end of lap 4,5,6 and 10,11,12 so people pitting at the end of lap 12 or the start of lap 13 is fine aslong as your not pitting at the end of lap 13 (or the start of 14 depending on your outlook on life).

You never know but people can pit for damage aswell ( so just cause you see someone pitting doesn't mean their changing their tires)

8 starters, 8 finished. And a pace car in the shape of LSDBlackWolf. Many thanks to him for that, hopefully see him on the forum so he can get a place in DTM3. Good quality shown at the post race practice @ Monaco. 👍

Just watching the replay now to see all the tyre changes.

One thing i was disappointed by was the start. EFJ1 on pole took off as soon as the pace car went in the pits. I dont know what the other race starts have been like so i can only comment on this one. This meant what everyone was left behind in the double chicane.
Rule 5.8 to 5.10 covers the issue i have with the start. No penalty will be given this time but if it happens again, from anyone then there will be. Penalty in future will be the time difference between pole position formation lap and last positions formation lap, times 2. This would have cost EFJ1 about 12 seconds (i was over 6 seconds behind at start) in the last race and may have cost him the win. He won by 12.5 seconds.

Also, PipiR6 changed tyres outside of pit window 2 (end of lap 9). This pitstop was for damage repairs and should have stayed on the tyres he was already on (rule 3.4 and 3.5) and pit again.
Penalty - 30 seconds.
Had no effect on overall outcome but does serve as a precedent for future.
