I must have been watching a different race. I saw Andrew Jordan win race 3 because of Jeff Smith's terrible driving.

I saw him get bored of being behind Rob Austin and just smash him out of the way (after a few attempts to spin him in the hairpin) then fall off the track after wrecking his own tyres. I don't really know what Matt Neal and Colin Turkington had to do with it - they seemed to have a good, fair battle with each other once they'd gravitated to 3rd/4th (and then 2nd/3rd).

Turkington had got ahead of Jordan before Neal whacked him off the road at the chicane. That put Jordan ahead of Turkington and ultimately won him the race.

Look at 18:00

Has he not crashed into anyone yet?

He had contact with Lea in race 1 at Oulton but other than that I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
Griffin himself admits he was over-driving last year trying to keep up. Honestly, I appreciate Griffin's efforts more than I do Andy Neate's because he doesn't big himself up.

Really?

He was alongside him and chopped so much of the corner to give him room he nearly rolled it on the kerb. Jordan AND Turkington went off the track avoiding it - somehow Jordan got back on track ahead of Turkington in the process.

That would be at worst, door-to-door touring car racing. Now scroll forwards to 18:30...

John cleland now has rory butcher's cup car. Wonder what his plan is with it as they are using new cars next year and his son Jamie is Rory's race engineer.

I really disliked how Jordan multiple times overtook people (for example Turkington/Tordoff) just by running in the back of them and bumping them wide at the hairpin. Not the way it should be happening and I was surprised to see him getting away with it.

Won't the older cars be used in the other classes?

You know, I kinda felt sorry for Andy Neate considering the extraordinary amount of bashing he got all over the internet. But when he repeatedly fails to meet expectations its difficult to defend the guy, no matter what he does, it seems like he always fails and always has an excuse.
Maybe he should just say nothing like say Dave Newsham or Dan Welch. Then there would be no disappointment (assuming anyone is disappointed).

I was feeling great about this, still feel great for Turks but Simonsen's death means British Motorsport has lost a great character.

Hopefully Turks can get a win or two 👍

Allan Simonsen was Danish, not British; but yes, it's a terrible shame that he died in that accident! R.I.P...

I know he was Danish, but he's been a regular front runner in the British GT for years now. That championship is now missing a great driver, hence why British Motorsport has a lost a great character.

Ah okay, sorry about that; my mistake! :)

Fingers crossed Turks can get a clean break and win race 1 :) That BMW finally looks sorted, Collard 6th and Foster 12th

Jake Hill was impressive in quali as well, running strongly all day and pipped at the post by Lea Wood for Jack Sears Trophy pole

Excellent performance by the BMW's, Nick foster even managed to get up towards the front.. shame Collard got spun though :(

Wishing I'd woken up two hours earlier and gone now!

Brilliant performance by Turkington and BMW this weekend. Two victories and a 2nd place is a very good result for the team. Well done! :D

Croft is usually a good circuit for RWD but hopefully this is the start of a real championship charge for Turkington.

Definitely! But the 320si they previously used was seriously down on power that even a circuit that should suit them well also they couldn't do anything about it. The new M125i definitely is a better car and they're able to pull on some good results. The car has been pulling some good results lately, I'm not surprised if he's starting to challenge for the championship! 👍

Just got to our hotel for the night.. Croft was fun we even got inside WSRs pit garage on saturday morning after talking to Dick Bennets. (My Aussie mate helped that lol) We got an indepth look at their BMWs and posed with Turks car. We also had a chat with Collard on the way. Bennets said thos is bett than old V8s huh. Corey replied uhhh maybe.. Collards eyes lit up when he overheard talk about V8s saying "Oh I'd love to race a V8"

Another driver we got a long talk with on Satirday was Newsham who eventualy reconised(?) me sayong "Ah you look different without your pizza gear".

He gave us an extensive technical insight into how a Fwd touring car is setup, cambers, toe etc. Je said they lost a bit of boost and only had 340 ish bhp.

While we were in WSR we also asked how much power they had Bennets said 360bhp.

Then come Sunday we got to WSR quick and managed a chat with each of the drivers. Collard was funny saying tough about the Rugby to Corey, we also may have told him to try get 2nd off the line lol.

We never seen Turks on Saturday so were surprised when he said oh your the Aussie Dick was talking about to Corey :D. We ofc wished him well and went off on our way.

After race 1 we went to the podium, got sprayed then found Bennets again. We talked about the race and how Collard could of had 2nd if not for the spin. He also explained the reason for use of Softs for all the
cars. Corey slyly said we must be your good luck charm to which he said yeah you better stick around.

After race 2 we did the same thing but this time we managed to grab a pic with the Turks and have a quick chat with him. Corey asked him if given a chance would he try V8s to which he said oh aye they'd be my cup of tea. We said good luck trying to get a 3rd win and left him to deal with pesky interviewers and having another chat wih Bennets. He started off by saying you stuck around then,we talked if it stays dry there was a real shot they could take all 3 wins with the Fwds on the soft tyre.

Even with thecrain Turks was sooo close. All in all a great weekend at Croft, bav
ck Inverness tomorrow.

All punctuated and re-worded now

I missed all 3 races today barring last 5 of Race 2, and laps 6-10 of Race 3. What did I miss?

Plato got lapped in race 2!!! That was the highlight of the day for me lol!

It was all down to a team desicion to go for wets instead of staying on slicks...... cost both plato and tordoff the race!

Using a phone orama.. I hate trying to type on this thing :P. Still Furis Toca cars are massively UP compared to BTCC now :sly:. I have to say though I was surprised when Bennets said the BMs had 360bhp!

Now we have this damned Summer break... :(

You can see why the 320TC's used to struggle! They were only good for about 275bhp.
