We believe that when any car is set on "stock" then the only thing hackers can alter is the brake bias.
Have you got any evidence for this - what testing / results have you got?
People need to be producing evidence to help the series organisors / owners to stop this "cheating", not giving out hearsay or opinion.
We've starting getting hacked cars in our organised racing, we're trying to find out how we can spot these - instead of everyone doing their own thing the series organisors/owners should be working together and sharing tests/results/data/ideas/theroies and more importantly, the PSN IDs of known "hackers".
The "hacking" is done with the manipulation of data/code within the game save - look at what people are doing now, not just engine drivetrain swaps but taking spoilers off cars..?
PROHIBITED tuning in a lobby would normally pick up any change from "stock" - but who knows whether 'stock' is determined by the car in the lobby OR the data/code in the game save?
Until someone confirms that with tests/results, going "stock" is as open to "hacked" cars as any/everything else.
There's even bugs in the game that prevents STOCK cars from entering a prohibited tuning race.
We race the Alfa '65 Guila TZ2 last week, I bought a new one and went straight into a lobby, went to go on track - I couldn't enter track?
I'd just bought it from the dealer, other guys had this too. It turned out, although "stock", the gear ratio's were NOT stock, after 'defaulting' the gear ratios I was able to go on track. Yet all I did was go straight from the new dealer to the lobby to enter track??
Same with Audi R10 2 weeks before - a totally STOCK car, but wasn't allowed on track?
We had to buy a new Audi R10.
So if that happened with an FGT in your "stock" lobby - would that mean I'd get called a "hacker"?
We're in a middle of a huge can of worms at the moment, finger pointing and accusations is not going to improve things, but working together and helping / sharing test results / info will...
