Grosjean looking less than comfortable with the understeer. Team says he reverted to an older setu pas the new direction they had in Germany and Britain may have been too oversteery to drive around.


Heres a question.
Why do the drivers use the DRS so much in the practice sessions? Practically between every single corner.They won't be allowed to run the car like that in the race so why don't they drive the car as close to race conditions as possible in order to setup where you use DRS at most 1 time.?

Why is the Valencia race called the "European Grand Prix"?
Its not like there is only one european round.
There is GB, Italian, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Monaco all in europe. Couldn't the race be called something else? Its the only race that if you where given a free ticket no internet or phone and no address on it you wouldn't even know what country to fly to. I just find it odd.

Felt that the Renault were all very comfortable actually. Hamilton pushing it, as Alonso (latter just for a little while).

Massa so comfortable he was saving tyres, or what? (!)

Button and Mercs struggling, as Maldonado (even in the pits).

No realy, he wasn't the only one with minor improvements on yellows. Hidding their game maybe... Grosjean was on a very fast one when he pitted at the end.

Because Americans.

The 1983 US Grand Prix at Flushing Meadows fell through 3 months before the race. Brands Hatch - at the time hosting British F1 Grands Prix in even numbered years with Silverstone in odd numbered years - was able to organise and hold a replacement race. It wasn't able to be called the British Grand Prix because it was Silverstone's year for it, so it was called the European Grand Prix.

After that it was an additional race awarded to a country also holding its own F1 race that year. Usually it's the Nurburgring GP track, particularly in the Schumacher era, but it's also been to Jerez and Donington (and Brands again). It's been Valencia since Alonso's emergence.
