Yeah. Finally Hamilton and Mclaren have a decent showing in Q3. Also great to see Grosjean up there. If he can have a decent first few laps then he has a real chance at a strong finish. Possibly a win.

Ham or McLarens race to loose now...

The smile on Romains face? Priceless. Gotta love that kid :)

Senna ruined his 2nd fast lap otherwise he'd be even better.
(waits for comments to sack him as a liability)

Ferrari? Still hiding something or... What? Saving tyres still?

I think they know they don't have a realistic chance to win this one on pace alone, so trying to be conservative as possible.

I think it will be anyone's race once tyres start to go in this one.

Well then, time for Mclaren to forget how to work a wheel gun tomorrow then? :(

Could you imagine Hamiltons pace, a correct tyre strategy, perfect pit stops. They could get this race by a wide margin.

Granted, on both counts.

The McLaren still eats its tyres for breakfast. They will have to think tactically as well, and that hasn't exactly been their strongest field this season.

Hamilton really needs to win now to get himself back in the title fight. If he can't manage it, I think Grosjean might get his first win, at last. Good qualifying from both Brazilians, they're doing almost all they need to do if they want to have any chance of keeping their seats.

Grosjean went from struggling to 2nd. I am not going to jinx him and call him for the win but... With a tyre munching Mac ahead and their notorious pot (best auto correct ever) pit performances... Looking good :)

One good race isn't going to save either of them - particularly when they had already demonstrated that they never deserved those seats to begin with. Chances are that by this time tomorrow, we'll all be talking about how Senna lost his front wing on the first lap and asking what went wrong for Massa as he slid down the order.

Wow... congratulations to Grosjean, especially after struggling with his setup previously. :)

But seriously, what happened to Raikkonen there:confused:, really hoped for him to qualify higher (like around top 3 at the very least) :indiff:

Mclaren doing a great job in recovering back, Hamilton looked untouchable today... Let's see whether they can keep their rather poor tire degradation in check for tommorow's race.

Looks like the Lotii are in good position for their long overdue win. (with some, finally, decent qualifying slots + good tire deg)

Tyre munching?

Is it karuin Chandhok who announces the GP2 races?

(Apologies for spellings)

I say get him on the Formula 1 announcing desk. He knows what he is talking about and even though he's not talking away 24/7 when he does talk he states some valid and intelligent points.

I think he sometimes commentates F1, like e.g the German Grand Prix last week on star sports/espn.

Can't believe espn and star sports could dedicate 10 over channels to cover the London Olympics, but not a single one for F1 quali today :grumpy: Had to watch from a live stream with a c***load of ads.... 👎

Well I'm in England watching on the Sky Sports F1 channel. He's doing it for the GP2 so it surely could be easy enough for the F1?

Wait, doesn't BBC have the rights to this GP? will they even show it or go with the Olympics?

Yes I saw the quali through a stream of the sky F1 channel...

Not sure but I sometimes do see him doing F1 pre/post-race comments and on star sports

I'm not watching it live, but it's usually Jerome d'Ambrosio who is the expert to Will Buxton's commentary.

But, that's not F1...
