Here’s a wild idea: only let four crew men work on the car in the pit stop. Two jackmen and two tyre changers who have to change all 4. Significantly slow down pit stops and open up opportunities for mistakes. Also would be interesting to see the different strategies on how they change the tyres.

As interesting as that may be, people prefer to see overtakes happen on track and not in the pits.
 
This feeling a bit similar to Silverstone with the whole, "Stay off the kerbs guys! The tires!"

Austria 1 as well. That being said, the risk of the transmission dying was a lot more interesting than tire degreg.
