The thing is though that the speedway is part of Motegi, separated from the road course.

Question: for Motegi is this legal or are we not allowed to touch the lines at all?

First, beautiful picture. I love the look of the Formula GT. It has the bullet nose of a late 90s Champ Car but it's also raised like a Formula 1 car. The best of both worlds.

As for your question, yes, you are allowed to touch the lines, just don't go below them. Just stay within the spirit of the rules. Do you mind if I use your photo as a visual reference to the white line rule at Super Speedway?

Don't tell me you're able to keep it consistent like that throughout the whole corner.

That's the advantage of a DFP at the Super Speedway. Certain tracks on the schedule will favor the DS2 while others will give the advantage to the DFP.

That looks like super speedway not Motegi, Motegi doesn't have a turn like that. But I would think we are following the standard 2 wheels on track no wall bumping stuff, but double check with Mr. Mod (Earth) I did my Qualy lap tho so we'll see how my 45 min session holds up when round 1 starts and I took a pic of the fastest lap displaying the correct HP and Weight, I would encourage everyone to do that in case you get 'called' on it, but that's just me. I really can't wait til the season starts! I think I'm gonna go through some of the Qualy's early to help spread out the season in case I get behind on time as I'm also tryin' to study for my N+ (got my A+ w00t!).

Super Speedway and Le Mans will both have rules that differ from standard OLR rules, so it's probably best to wait until the race thread for both of those tracks is up before you do any serious practicing there.

You're In 👍

Last night I got to do some testing at Tokyo R246 and Infineon. Toklyo R246 is unbelieveable. The speed is incredible. The cars are unbelieveably fast around alot of the bends. You have to push your car to the limit at this track, But pushing it over the limit will result in a nasty crash. Wonderful wonderful track. Infineon isn't quite as good but still very fun to drive. Just like Tokyo there is a limit and if you go over it you will pay dearly.

I agree.

Thats right. Some of those fast corners you are just on the edge of spinning out.

I might not be able to get the first race done because i got a very bad fever of 102' and still rising. Hopefully it will be gone before the season starts.

Thank you. It is a beautiful car. But I can’t help but look at that rear wing on this circuit and just see a wall of drag!

So as long as no wheel is completely below the white line (i.e. below AND not touching it) you’re okay? I just want to clarify because I’ve never done an OLR at Motegi before.

And yeah, by all means, use the photo.

This is what annoys me about racing at Motegi. I haven’t been able to do 3 laps without my face meeting the wall at some point. The car is completely undriveable compared to qualifying…

Nice write-up. Phew! I tested at Tokyo R246 (I am also racing in the Formula GT PD series), and I completely lost my car on the first high-speed chicane!

That aside, is the team livery very important? The car I took delivery of was red, and I am not in Scuderia Ferrari... Is it just a figurehead for the team?

We're racing in Arcade mode so you can pick your colour there now that you've unlocked the car.

Then I'm in trouble; I can't find it. What country is it classified under? Or does the Nurburgring 24h have to be done to unlock the FGT in Arcade Mode? Or, did I overlook the fact that the rounds are LAN races, and thus have to withdraw due to insufficient equipment?

They're not LAN events, they're just individual races. The FGT is in the Japan section, all the way across on the right under Polyphony Digital. It should be available now that you've got one in GT mode.

That is correct. That rule is strictly enforced during qualifying but is relaxed in the race, it's expected to get a wheel below the line every now in then, so no need to restart your race if you happen to get a wheel below the line a few times

Hmmm oval racing not as easy as you mave once thought? ;)

As Eagle said the FGT is found under Japan. Polyphony Digital is the manufacturer and they are at the very end. No penalties for not running the team colors but I prefer to do so myself

Say guys, I'm not sure how many of you already do this, but I think that for easier remembering, maybe you guys could add the car you driving to your favorites. That way when your doing a race for a series, Then all you do is go to "favorites" and find your car. See if that works for you guys.

Since it's still November 12th, would you consider a late entry from UDO Team Stig in the Black livery?

One driver only...

Ah, welcome Famine. This just got interesting.

The black F1 is unavailable in Arcade Mode (yes, I have 100%), so I'll have to go with orange and rename the team to UDO.

:(

Sorry about that mixup Famine. I don't have a black F1 so originally (season 1)I didn't include it on the list, but a season 1 driver asked for it as if it were there, so I added it to the list thinking it was there if you managed 100%

Since Blake informed me of this today, reckon you have room to squeeze in an OLR old timer like myself into team UDO? (If Famine will have me of course!)

I can have the first race in on time 👍
