The AI seem to actually be more competitive this time round. I'm just playing on Expert difficulty and it's hard for me to actually lose the cars once I get to first place; they're able to keep up in the turns with no issue. In which this is what I was looking for, the career mode is keeping me interested. I also actually like that the cars are locked as prize cars, it gives me early Gran Turismo & Forza Motorsport flashbacks having to work my way up to unlock the cars again.

It seems to me like they are better on some tracks than others. There have been some tracks where on expert I have a hard time catching the lead car and others on unbeatable where I just run off and leave everyone.

To be honest, browsing through the car list while on the Xbox One causes stutters and frame rate issues as well.

Yes, it's almost unbearable how slow car browsing has become. I wish they had kept the static images from FM6 because these high-detail live models seem to be causing a strain. Hopefully it can be optimized.

So i was kinda putting off buying fm7. But bit the bullet and got it today. Most of it is installed. The exception being the hoonigan pack. I don't really know why. It says i have the pre-order bonus and it is downloaded. Also think i have the pack for fh3 to. So anyway games installed. Try to run it and it crashes after about 3 secs after launch. Great start this... oh and forza forums seem to be down to.

Is anyone's Forza Motorsport 7 not working properly? No matter how many times I try to launch it, it starts loading, and then kicks me straight back to the Xbox dashboard. :grumpy:
Edit: Just saw the post above mine, so I guess I'm not alone.

I haven’t been able to see anyone’s gamertags On drivatars all afternoon and evening.

Safe to say something’s up big time as It’s not just me and others here having issues starting up the game, few guys in the Forza Showrooms group on Facebook are having the same issue, not to mention the aforementioned issues on the Forza Fourms as well.

Same here. Two times I just got kicked back to the dashboard upon seeing the cover car screen. Gave up right there. I hope it means there's some maintenance going on.

Looking at the gamehub on xbox and in the comments section. Alot of people's games aren't starting. Oh well.. i should go to sleep really. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

It's suddenly won't start, game instantly crashes/closes.

Hard reset twice, now trying the delete cache method.

+edit
I should have clicked the next page button...

Maintenance or lizard people again?

Gonna assume it's some sort of server issue, since Forzamotorsport.net is also down; it just endlessly loads.

I think maybe server? Surely maintenance wouldn't affect the forum? I was installing ultimate edition at the time. Got to hoonigan pack and it said my internet connection had gone. Which isn't right. That's when i went to the forum and noticed it was down to. Unless there's an issue with installing the hoonigan pack also? On xbox.

So apparently I can't play anymore either...what's going on?

@ZDUPH I got on fm.net ok.
We don't know, and right now there's no way to know since the official forum has been down for at least an hour now. Maybe a server thing since it looks like everyone is in the same boat.

Thing is,I was still playing less than an hour ago,I switch off and now this.

At first, I honestly was wondering if they locked us out of the game to wipe progress of those who milked the Ram Runner and Daytona exploits.

I’m still playing. :sly:.

According to the Xbox live status page, social and gaming are limited at the moment. It’s a Xbox Live Issue.

Glad to see I'm not the only one not being able to access the game. I thought my optical drive was caput

Does anyone know if you can access Forzavista anywhere else other then your garage and the pits?

I saw elsewhere online a Forzavista in the middle of a track possibly Suzuka

I've had FM7 running on my XBox1 all day. Currently running the Ram exploit. I'm not having any problems other than deciding if I want the car or the suit.

Now if only the game wouldn't get stuck on every single loading screen after doing any tuning on a car, this game would be amazing

Unless its something quite undesirable or doesn't have much car collecting points attached to it, take the car as it'll help you level up to the next tier. The only time I ever picked a suit was because I'd run out of money and the suit was from Mt Panorama which is a favourite track of mine-wish I was there this weekend.

This game got the best of me. I decided to get the game again. I'm glad to see that not only was the game already installed in my PC, but that I also got the $1M and FE cars gifts. My progress wasn't affected after the refund either.

I have to say, I played for about 4 hours straight and got no crashes. Before, I had at least a crash every 15-20 minutes. There is still a bit of stutter in the menus, but the game seems stable enough. However, the annoying infinite save loop is still there. It happens at least 1 out of 2 times whenever painting, applying decals or tuning. It forces me to ALT+F4.

Other than that, I kinda found my way around the Homologate feature. Really, all you need is to match the tire compound and PI. Other mods are purely optional. It's a bit tricky, but I can race my cars very close to how I want them. With all the cars available, there will always be one or two that require almost no mods to meet the requirements.

I have to admit. I am enjoying the game quite a bit now. The A.I in Pro (Expert? The one after Highly Skilled?) seems to be the sweet spot for me. It definitely has improved after comparing with Forza 6, which I played yesterday. Less crashing and pushing off the track.

The game still needs work. But the patch, plus the VIP "redemption" have taken it in the right direction. I don't feel buyers remorse anymore.
