The AI in this game is really screwed up. I race unbeatable AI and have often thought that there is something up with it but today just brought it all home. I was doing the racing truck championship and we all were using the same truck. The AI just seems to have much more horsepower than me. Always catching me on the straights but then being terrible through the corners. This was perfectly illustrated by the last two races. I had won the first 4 races but then came to Road Atlanta North which is basically 4 long straights with 4 right hand corners. I did amazingly well to scrape 9th and was over 2000 ft behind first. The last race was Le Mans Bugatti and I trounced the opposition finishing over 6000 ft ahead of 2nd place.

The AI is broken.
That’s been my experience as well; I don’t know why it varies by tracks. I can beat them at Spa, Laguna, Maple, but I got Catalunya and they don’t like being caught anymore. Same with 1 of the VIR configurations, I catch up on certain sections bc the AI for some reason brakes through a set of turns but if I haven’t passed by the time we’re out, they can start to build back up.

Have settled for the next lowest difficulty to curb this and just take my time through the field. It’s the only way I can enjoy it without beating them easily or wondering how much faster I need to be. Unbeatable feels like a mixed bag.

I find that on some tracks, if you are playing on professional or unbeatable, it’s better to set the race length to long to give you 10 laps or so. The problem with getting stuck in the backing normal 3-4 lap races, on tracks like Rio, by the time you work your way to the front the race is over.

Catalunya put up the biggest fight for me too! It's there only race I actually lost so far, where as if usually b beat them by thousands of feet.

I've set mine too long since the beginning, but there are still some that just put up an odd fight.

From @HeliosT10 :

Today we executed bans on a small number of Forza Motorsport 7 players who we have determined were using prohibited tools to artificially increase their progress in the game. Use of these so-called “trainers” negatively affect the in-game economy as well as the overall experience for all Forza Motorsport 7 players. We take this seriously and will be issuing similar bans for players who use these kinds of tools in the future.

I doubt anybody here is using external tools to cheat the game but if you are, watch out.

Doesn't make it any less of a dumb thing to say. It's your issue, not mine, so don't apply it to me, especially if I haven't even experienced it. I'll acknowledge it as something I'm experiencing when I actually see it happening.

It's not any dumber than you starting out by saying I have been blowing issues out of proportion. There's nothing to gain by trying to marginalize the opinion of someone being more frustrated than you are.

While we don't know exactly, it gives us a better idea than going off what you said. Essentially it looks like the larger hit box is bottoming out making the Sparks look like they're not coming from the car. Now that I see this I think I may have experienced it to a degree in a classic muscle cars, I noticed I was rear ending cars, but felt like it really shouldn't have given the visuals.

Possibly. Hopefully Turn 10 will look into @Ialyrn's notification and fix whatever the issue is. I might have jumped the gun blaming the suspension physics, but my intention was not to imply a fact. I merely noticed an issue and speculated on the underlying cause.

Catalyuna is probably the best track for the AI in the game.
They are very quick at Laguna Seca, Laguna is my best track, and I finished 7th on a 10 lap race on unbeatable.
5th @ Cat, 7th @ Laguna (I might have them backwards)
VIR I don't know well yet, they are tough there but I got 3rd or 4th on my 10 lapper there.

There were a wide number of Trainer bans for Horizon last year too.

I don’t think anything if the sort is possible on Xbox like it was on the 360, so the only exploits you’ll come across there are ones generated by the game itself (which have already been well documented by the Forza community and will likely get patched soon).

What is the Daytona glitch? I've been doing the Homestead glitch and it's pretty neat.

Also, Mixed Crate - Elite >> Lucky Cat Crate.

Legendaries drop so rarely and I get more Super Rare drops in Mixed Crate - Elite.
You do two laps on Daytona oval course on super easy just hold the gas. Then after the two laps are done restart then change the settings to the veteran and change it to 30 second timed race. Then let the game crash after you hit restart and collect the rewards.

Follow this video.

It very much is, and this exact situation we went through right now shows it. You jumped to a conclusion and tried blowing it up as something completely different. You just started blaming the physics giving someone who's trying to buy the game, wrong impressions. Making a mountain out of a mole Hill. Your frustration is blinding you, that's the issue.

You also implied fact through the whole ordeal until someone actually made the effort you should have.

So that was nice. The game just crashed on the last lap of the 46 lap Spa endurance race. 1 hour and 55 minutes of racing with absolutely nothing to show for it.

This could easily result in a ban, don't do this.

No it is not. Besides, the "situation we went through" is not something worth picking apart.

You jumped to a conclusion and tried blowing it up as something completely different.

I might have jumped to a conclusion, but it's a stretch to say I was "blowing it up". There was no drama and it's not like my suspicion turned out be completely unfounded.

You just started blaming the physics giving someone who's trying to buy the game, wrong impressions. Making a mountain out of a mole Hill. Your frustration is blinding you, that's the issue.

Because I do have my concerns with the suspension physics and nothing has changed there. Besides, the potential buyer was only asking whether the game was worth getting in its current state, so I offered my honest opinion and the subsequent elaboration you asked for. If you disagree here and there, fine, but it's disrespectful to pretend my opinion means nothing because you might see some things differently. My frustration hasn't blurred my vision at all.

You also implied fact through the whole ordeal until someone actually made the effort you should have.

Again, it wasn't my intention to imply fact. I speculated and excuse me for not being literal about it. I saw no reason to believe that the ground-scraping might not be related to my aforementioned concerns with the suspension physics. Never heard of hitbox until today and the CRX video captured something I probably wouldn't have. Just be grateful the discussion inspired someone to document the issue better than I did.

Anyone else really enjoy using the multi class features of free play? I know I am :) The combinations you can do are great

I did it twice and got all the cars I needed. I’m just gonna play the rest of the career now.

If you're banned, it isn't going to be some instant thing from doing it.

They'll ban you later, I'm saying that it's a possibility and you shouldn't be surprised if it happens.

Alright, the AI absolutely cheats, and I have replay proof. Decided to do a multi-class 1hr endurance race at Yas Marina for the heck of it, between the Sport GT, Sport Touring, Sport Coupe, and Sport Compact divisions. I was in the Sport GT class and my car was pretty down on power, so I can certainly accept that I'd lose out on the straights. What's difficult to believe is that my main rivals in a McLaren MP4 and an Aston DBS are both able to drive at 10 tenths for the whole race and yet burn through fuel at about 75% the rate of my own car, which I may have believed if I was in a Dodge Viper or a Corvette, but not when I'm driving the BMW i8.

I saved and checked the replay beforehand, and though it cuts out before my first pit, I checked and saw that when my tank was at 50% the McLaren was still holding a comfortable 63%. I'll admit maybe I'm not the most efficient driver, but I was still being mindful and not driving like a madman. The only reason I won is because it was a multi-class race and the other cars in my class kept getting stuck behind much slower traffic despite having plenty of opportunities and easily enough performance to overtake, so essentially the reason it was competitive is because the AI is broken in TWO ways.

Which makes the 424 limit for liveries pretty dumb.
Still better then the 300 limit in previous games. But knowing how I am with my cars and the fact that I am wanting to make a matching custom livery for the cars I use, I might actually hit the limit this time.

I'm finding the trophy trucks extremely difficult to drive......

I struggled for the first couple of races. Change up early, about 5000 rpm from memory and make sure you get it slowed down well before the corner and on tighter corners don't use any throttle input. It was a dream to drive once I worked it out.

So it seems the reason for the laggy car buying and garage screens are because the game is loading the forzavista model on the turntable. Doesn’t show on screen but if you hit x you can do the photo mode “explode” while buying cars.

I've had the same problem with no engine sound in split-screen. Not only that, but the second player assists didn't work all the time. No matter how many times we set it to manual rather than auto, it stayed auto. Needless to say we did one or two races before calling it quits.

Had a friend over yesterday and of course we wanted some split screen action.

What a bad experience really. Seems very rushed and not even tested before launch. So many problems here:

- No engine sound at all (other sounds are there)
- HUD elements randomly disappearing
- Countdown clock doesn't go away
- Assists don't always work
- When I exit the race, it puts me all the way back to main menu, and to play again, Player 2 has to log in again and all assist settings reset.

Honestly it seems line a joke. This was actually one of the reasons I bought FM7, cus I enjoyed spli screen in FM6 so much.

Can you get this fixed, @HeliosT10 ?

My concern with this glitch thing is what happens to the people whose game has a genuine lock up and they get rewards?

As in if they punish people who rinsed the Daytona glitch.
