I got mine to display, but it took reloading it by reselecting the menu bits such as GT1 and region and Manu. I also know that down here it is usually a few hours after last slot before it releases results

Longing for the good old days of GT Sport where we could see our results and points immediately and easily. It was also nice knowing what the points available were before the race started. I have no idea what my 2nd place got me tonight at N24 because I forgot to look when it displays in the post-race lobby AND NOWHERE ELSE! :grumpy:

Yesterdays race was pretty funny. GT2 League, race 7pm. I signed for Genesis, as I haven't tried them yet and the car looks kinda cool.
No practise, directly into the session. Qualification went ok as I tried to learn the car. Unstable in low speed, a lot of drifting, but I was getting into the rythm as the lap went on. I let a few quick guys through on the main straight, just to catch some of them on my quali lap. I don't remember my time, but I think it was enough for P1 whilst P2 and P3 just 2sec behind me.
Race went very well. I pushed at the beginning and then immediately switched to engine mode 6.
Some guys passed me, as I didn't defend my position to gain slip stream. All the other drivers at the front (at least the other 7 in the pack) pushed really hard and went into the pits on lap 2 with ~5-25% fuel remaining.
I saved so much, that I had 39% over the line, whilst driving with them 8min 29s.
Now I had a ~21s gap and increased it to ~28s at the end.
I think my last lap was a 8m 24s. Had 5% of fuel left, so there was still some time to be gained :D

Well Nations Cup today is a complete Meme race.

I joined Slot 1 in Oceania with about a minute to spare. Spent a good portion of the Qualifying Session putting the set-up I found onto the car. Managed to bank a lap good enough for 10th in an 11 car field.

Race goes to load an we sit staring at the opening screen for 6 minutes.

Grid finally loads and three of the field have either dropped out or quit so now starting in 7th.

Was able to stay with the pack for the opening 2-3 laps before the gaps started to open up, never really challenged as the car felt like it was on ice skates, but did manage to come home in 6th, banking 154 points.

Going to leave it at that as the set-up needs more work to make it user friendly for my driving style.

I had a meme race yesterday with Ford GT at manufacturers. Best GT driver in the race lobby, 13/16 😳 Horrible default tune especially when brake bias has to be 0.

Someone have a link or know how the points system works for these races in the championships?
Im ranked C/B on the lobby scale and in the GT3 league. Now my understanding is the points will be lower in GT3 league as its the entry league (if that’s correct)?
Completed NBring yesterday and Quali P12 and finished the race P5. I didn’t occur any penalties during the race but I didn’t get the clean race bonus either. Ive just checked my score today and ive got 29 points. How does GT7 work out the points please?

The points on offer are based on the strength of all the drivers DR ratings in the lobby just after matching is complete.

how point are calculated by race? in the frist round i finished in 10th and scored 19points.. the 1st scored 30 points I think.. but I see people with more than 30 points..64 points! how is that possible?? I'm in GT3 by the way...

Replay of last nights race from Nurburgring. And tonight's Alsace race.

For Nurburgring, I had to switch from my wheel to the controller after qualifying thanks to it appearing to overheat and stop responding to my inputs without massive delays. It certainly made for a challenge to fight back from 14th on the grid. to run as high as 5th on the final lap.

Tonight's Alsace race. As I mentioned above certainly a meme race. We had 3 drop out during the 6 minute waiting time. Tuning certainly played a part and i'd like to thank @Mistah_MCA for the tune. Although I'm sure I didn't do it any justice.

Who's Nismonath5? They had a GT Planet livery on their car.

Or a lobby full of drivers at DR C and below will score fewer points for each position than a lobby full of drivers at DR A and above.

That'd be @Nismonath5...

Can somebody answer me this please, there are 5 race opportunities a day, do I get points for each race, or do they only take the best score from however many I participated in on that day?

Your last score is the one recorded.

This prevents people with time to run all 5 simply having 5 attempts and the best being picked.

You get a stick or twist moment if you get a decent result, there's a risk you could do worse the next race and lose that score.

It's a weird one racing my own car, the wrong side seating but nevertheless. I got a Clio for the price first, and that somewhere in there is a racecar with its own series, which is just nice to know.

It'll never be souped up like this though, I did leave the gold rims to the past.

Qualified 4th in some lovely lighting at Alsace which was sadly gone from the race. Managed to jump into third off the line as they seem to have 'stalled' (or messed it right up) but they did come back at me and snuck under me as I went wide in the final hairpin. From there the order was set and nothing much happened, too fast for 5th, couldn't quite catch 3rd. Some bickering into the final corner between 1st and 2nd saw 3rd actually nip through and grab the win, fair play to them for a clever race. I was unfortunately too far back to gain a place in the incident and I'll take 4th as I don't have time to do another slot today.

Cheers. Is it purely done on the basis of position or does fastest lap count towards anything?

Interesting question, I believe it's just position as your score is based on the driver level of the people you finish ahead of. I don't think Fastest Lap means anything for that, though I could be mistaken (not often I get that personally haha).

Just did one race in slot 1, GT1 league Nations test season rd.1. I feel like driving needs some improvement over time and tune was maybe like 8/10, but could not have been optimal (found 3 tenths in quali by making tune adjustments). But decent tune by a youtuber tbf, only adjusted it a bit what comes to roll bars and weight ballast position, probably different brake bias too.

All and all not bad, 144pts for P8, did 10 min of practice before entering quali and race. GTS was in last stages 170-190 pts usually against similar drivers (I spot a few familiar names), so not that far off that mark.

Without the chaotic third lap where I lost 2 sec (one driver was going slow on uphill part inside line on left and I nudged the wall in left hander after back straight on same lap), and a bit more practice, 161-170 pts, P5-6 was realistic best result for tonight.

Thanks for all your help. One last question,

I completed the race in the first slot for todays event. However when I go to look at the rankings, nothing is showing yet, do these only display once all slots have been completed for the day? EU time by the way so there’s still 3 slots left to run this evening. I placed first so I am hesitant to run it again unless race 1 hasn’t tracked!

Definitely check back once the slots are done, they should be up then or shortly after.

There's no reason to think your result hasn't tracked, unless you noticed some glitch, error or black screen? Congrats on 1st.

Need to give PD some leeway with result reporting at the moment if it's not up straight away or not showing correctly, they're still working on some of this stuff on the backend (hence this series title of Testing), but your first place should count mate, I wouldn't worry.

1st Slot.
12 Clios, 4 Peugeot.

Knowing that the majority would race with the Clio, I just wouldn't.
Therefore, My pick was the Peugeot.

Qualified 10Th, the second Peugeot.
Two rammers (LUCKY, the other I forgot name), were trying to do a GTA or N4S race, because they were pushing everyone off, specially in corners.
They have got me too, when I was in 8th, right behind the other Peugeot.
Final position, 11th.

Race was so stupid, that I decided to try the next one.

2nd Slot.
11 Clios, 2 Peugeot, 3 Citroen.
Obviously, I would not drive the Clio, so Citroen for me this time.

Qualified 13th. When I was about to make my best lap time, an idiot (Fil BMW), started to sway in front of me.
Clearly being dirty, for other players could not set a good time.

When driving in P7, by the time the best DS, the second DS right behind me, pushed me into the uphill barriers,
to overtaking me. Lost 4 places.
Final position, 9th.

Usually I'm happy even if I finish last. As long as I have fun with other players.

This time it wasn't fun. Too many rammers and, as usual, people that don't have any idea of what is racing.

And again a car I don't even try!

Cheers and until next one.

For anyone that feels that assists are for newbs, I've been to live events and I found the Gr3 Lambo too much at the Ring without countersteer on.

Also, the Audi must have been even worse because literally no one drove it for the GT1 league.

Interesting, I had no issues with rammers. I guess being just behind the top pack of the lobby is why.

Horrible track, crap cars. Still I had a go and got a 9th to 9th via 7th. Lost pace as the laps counted down and made many silly errors. But I had a grandstand seat for the 3 way battle ahead, so wasn't quite so boring. 63 points in the bag too.
