No matter what Gran Turismo does, it always results in the same "lights just got turned on, here comes the cockroaches" response.
I usually drive sport hard tires on lower end car vs AI who's driving Racing hard tires and they still slow down when you get behind them. It's like they are putting up a good fight until you get behind them, then they slow down and let you pass, and once you pass, they don't even try to keep up.
BTW I'm speaking of pre patch
The mid-race save isn't what i thought it would be. Pretty much you you have to shut off your system once you suspend the race, you can't just suspend the race then go back to the main menu and do something else.
You have to do the race after you turn your system back on. You have no option to do anything else. LAME.
Sounds haven't changed.
JDMKING13The new opening movie is just amazing!
So it basically works like GT4 then.
Have you heard the bmw lmr v12 ?
Im not sure how it sounded prior to the update but the gear changes ( atleast on wet track with tcs on 5) sounds great.
Agreed 100%. I love the new feel through the wheel. You can clearly feel the change, even on a DFGT. The cars aren't as twitchy anymore, and it feels like the suspension in the cars works better. (absorbs bumps better, etc)
What's the track at 4:22 and 4:46?
And Spa (or a very good rip-off)![]()
Whoa, whoa. Does the game make you go back to the XMB like when you suspend a championship? Or does it require a system shut down so you can't even play a different game after GT5?
My only disappointment is it looks like SPA doesn't have day/night change only weather. I was hoping that any new tracks would include it as it is the one feature that GT5 still holds unique amongst current racers.
As far as the physics, something has definitely changed, took my 787B out for a spin on the Ring24h and beat my best time by over 2 seconds on my first try, it seemed to turn easier, sense of speed was improved too.
can anybody tell me how midrace-saves are working??

when you pull into the pits you have the option to 'suspend race'
If you select this it saves the position to the hard drive and then tells you to press the PS button on your controller/wheel to exit the game.
Next time you load the game it takes you straight to the endurance race and restarts you entering the pits just where you saved.
Makes you got back to the XMB.

Oh ok, I expected that. That's actually not that bad considering how much memory is required to reload a race to a particualr point in time. I'm just glad we have it now.
so i can just save one game and have to finish this before playing other races?
Also if its any use to anyone, drifting seemed a lot grippier than before which would support your improved lap times.
I noticed the grippyness, and i love the way it feels now, you can really work with the softer comforts and things, maybe FINALLY the comfort hard drifting guys will realize what they have been doing wrong this whole time and learn how to drift.
P.S. not trying to troll comfort hard drifters, some can do it well, to me is just to slow and boring and not enough action.
