What about damage?? It's better than before or on same level...
You can switch visual damage on and off now, so I would expect there to be something else changed. My reply isn't very useful at all, but just thought I'd share something so your question doesn't go unnoticed.

Wow, I'm so unimpressed with the DLC.
I would feel the same way if it were to be the only DLC we'd be getting.

dammit you still can't buy a flux capacitor in the engine tuning options then :guilty:

Update looks great can't wait to try it out 👍

Has anyone else noticed with the DLC, the 125 Kart has a headlight looking object on the front...

Actually, now I look, all the Karts have this headlight looking object on the front...

Download only took 12 minutes.
:D

Yes, it's for night racing now. :)

My god!
The photomode have improve greatly!
It got lens flare now!Not to mention some shines on shiny bit!

I don't think it's there before the 2.0.

I don't know if anyone else has said this yet, but the reason that tracks load so much quicker is because it isn't loading the A.I cars. If you go into a race, you have to wait until all the cars aren't greyed out anymore until you can race.

Oh right, i think you guys also know there're dirt kick off on track at the beginning when set to 0-10% grip.

The cockpit views on Standards its good for me, finally i cant drive my Seat Ibiza :D and the old Volkswagem Bettle, btw the new Nissan GTR its so fun to drive, love it.

Loving the update so far. The new physics, car setups saved (only 3 but finally) and the change time function (Nordschleife at dawn now whenever I want!!!).

That said, a couple of things i'm disappointed in. Where is the A-Spec love?. Its been nearly a year now, I really would have expected some new events to be added in Spec II. Seasonals with their "chase the chicken" mode just dont quite cut it.

Online and even arcade feel like they are higher priority to PD. They need to redress the balance, fast....

Also, I now fear that the AI flaw of them backing well off when being overtaken is now hear to stay. Really takes away some satisfaction when overtaking, as it just feels like you are being given the place.

Question from a Former PS3 owner :D (yes it died).

Does the new cars ,Bugatii Veyron ,Jag XFR have the same generic cockpits as the other standards ?

Exactly. That's why for me (I use Arcade and Practice Mode a lot), it's like a dream. Even when I'll have to wait, it'll be more like FM4 where I'll have something other than a blank screen to look at. I can't wait to not hear about FM4's loading times.

..........................

The standard cars new cockpit view does the job.

The whole point of it is to put you in the drivers perspective which it does 👍
👍👍👍

I would think so. Someone, HELP!

THIS!! Only PD are moronic enough to release new tracks with not a single event to use it on. Seasonals are a joke and my 4 year old could come up with more inspired races. A-spec is a mess and PD keeps ignoring it. If gt6 sp mode is not vastly over hauled I won't be buying it.

Did anyone else wait about 2 hours for the 2.0 download to get from 60% to 75%?

This is painfully slow...

I'll happily pay the $12 for all of the new content, but I was never expecting the download content to be amazing. In my opinion GT5 has always been a bit of a disappointment, and no amount of new content can make it as special as the previous Gran Turismo Games... so I'm putting all of my hope into GT6. In saying that, I still enjoy GT5, and I'm sure it can keep me happy until the next game. I just wish Kaz and PD would listen to their fans more.

For instance, there are 1000's of members on this GT fan site. How many of us requested a Prius Touring car?

1800SSS
for some reason I expect them to only give you one of each

PD have been cheap like that in the past

but then again that X2010 and the 5 million credits were pretty generous so who knows
I'm expecting 1 of each.

Downloaded this earlier, and played with an F10 @ Suzuka in an offline practice.

Initial impressions weren't too good! I already had a setup that I was comfortable with before the update and so I went onto track to see how things had changed.

Holy understeer! My finely tuned setup was worthless. So after some tinkering and experimenting I got to a good level and ended up with faster times than before the update.

No ABS, no TC, real off track grip, steering sensitivity 5, no hud, everything else off, racing soft tyres.

My feelings so far, remember I have only driven the F10 at Suzuka, and I'm not an expert, lol! ;

- There is very obviously more understeer on the initial turn-in to a corner which requires a rebalancing of your setup, more front wing, etc.

- However at the same time in fast corners there seems to more oversteer in the middle of the corner, so it feels like the car initially grips then once you start to really push it into the corner it gives up a little bit of grip. This was quite annoying at first because I wanted more turn-in due to the understeer, but by doing that, it made more oversteer in the middle phase of the corner. So it took me a LONG time to find the right balance. I think this is a good thing because it means you have to think about it a little more. Also now you need to pre-empt a slide in the middle of a fast corner so that you're ready for it.

- When a slide does come, I think it's easier to control now, which is nice. It's not very easy but the minor corrections are much more possible now instead of what I found before the update which was I'd tend to OVER correct a slide which just sent me into another slide. Whether this is more 'real' or not I don't know but it's more enjoyable.

- Wheelspin is more pronounced but again it's more controllable if you have oversteer, and actually it feels a lot more enjoyable because it feels like you're getting back whatever you put it into it, and wheelspin also seems more variable on the setup you have now than before.

- The edges of the track feel like they have even less grip now, so while it's more punishing to get it badly wrong, the small mistakes can be corrected easier now.

- Braking distances feel a little longer? Need to do more testing but that's how I feel.

- Slow corners, not sure about entry/apex, but like I said, more controllable/variable wheelspin.

Oh and new questions ,Is the smoke particles still pixelate and did the sound of cars improv ?

To me, the smoke particles looked pretty good. For sure, it's been improved since the release of the game. I feel like I need to be in a deeper smoke with all the other drifters to know for sure. When I was trying to do donuts alone though, I couldn't see anything pixelated.

The sound seem the same to me, but the sound of the GTR Schulze is brilliant imo.

Who else thinks that PD is poorly managed?

Not exactly on topic, but I'd have to agree with you on this. Don't get me wrong though. I'm one who always sees the positives in the game.

I think what people overlook is that PD is trying to get a lot of things that the fans want, while also doing things they decide to do on their own. GT5 has a lot of the features that a lot of people like (time change, F1, weather change, etc.), but I think because of that, they simply decided to do too much, which resulted in long developmental time and a unseemingly finish game in the beginning. You can't have a lot of features, and not execute it to the best of its potential, or otherwise people and critics, will overlook it.
