You really think you would get spec 2.0 if forza 4 didnt existed? And besides, why on earth wait 10 months for this spec 2.0? I question, you dont.

To be fair, I still think Spec 2.0 would happen regardless of Forza 4, yes. Was it likely timed around the release of Forza 4? Yes, it sure looks that way. Does it really matter though? Eh, wouldn't even have noticed unless one of the GT5 militants, pointed it out.

[edit]
Oops, I just said something in defense of Gran Turismo 5, i'm sorry for trolling the thread guys.

The RM cars of the photos will be included in the patch? I don't understand...

i want to have the opportunity to invite friends, online tournaments and ranking for players. for the dlc i want old tracks back, apricot hill please

Since the announcement of what will be in the Spec 2.0 update, i've been very clear that i'm happy with the update overall. But whatever, i'm here to troll the forums by saying positive things about the update. You don't have time to read all of my posts, ive ever made, but you are expected to read the last few pages of this thread and not respond like a child, I think that's reasonable.

I did actually. I read this website daily from home and work and have pretty much read this entire thread. Since you are "new" here, this place has a habit of posting new information faster than anywhere, so hence, I read the posts.

Nice edit by the way.

All I am saying is, you posted, made your point, yet you continue to disembogue the same argument over and over again. But congrats on posting something positive.:dunce:

I was not expecting this, they are doing great job. Hope some surprise are still there ? :)

DLC should be free for PS+ members :P I just hate DLC's because all this DLC should be in the game already.

I can post whatever I damn well please until a mod says otherwise. I don't need your permission. If you got a problem with what i'm posting, then report it. If you don't like the discussion that I think is worth talking about, then don't add to it, talk about something else. This thread isn't restricted to one conversation at a time.

Hmm... this view on GT5 will feel quite good on standards... :) Plus, from what we can see in the screenshots posted, they adjusted the internal mirrors for example...

Well as someone who hasn't been happy with GT5, this update is good. I'd like to see Qualifying and Standing starts back. But I'm happy with this, as long as PD carry on supporting the game. The Caterham and LMP car look very good and will open up a bit more fun for me to return to the game. I feel bad for those not happy with the update, it's a shame there's not much there for those to be happy with it.

But those thinking it's the second coming of christ need a serious reality check. I'll name them Kazolytes from now on as it's very much like a religious fervour vibe I get from them (you know who you are).

Damn, I want El Capitain so badly... can't wait for the DLC! Again, another example of standard simplified interior... not bad.

Thats where your are wrong, when ever some one criticize something, you assume that we have a better solution. Keep in mind, im not a game developer, and i dont work for PD, its not my job, its theri. Secons, i do have a good idea on how drag should be implemented in gt5, but apparently PD or Kaz hasnt seen it for some strange reason. Its also strange that you consider that PD has "given" us something for free, when the truth is that they will loose customers if the dont do anything. You really think you would get spec 2.0 if forza 4 didnt existed? And besides, why on earth wait 10 months for this spec 2.0? I question, you dont.

Umm it took 10 months to get to this point its not rocket science, LOL.

Judging by that post, I almost feel I need to be saluting you and thanking you for taking the time to visit, Mr. Staff Sargent.

Discussions? You mean the same ones that have rinsed and repeated for the three years I have been here?

Look at these excerpts for this post you made on the same day you registered.

They are a business, you think Polyphony Digital isn't doing the samething? They released a glorified $40 demo, for christ sakes. A lot of what GT5 did, like damage, and online, Forza did first.

And you don't think it didn't lose some of that credibility? Really? The Gran Turismo series has been all about delivering a quality racing sim, and then Gran Turismo 5 happened; with its 800 standard cars and half of its tracks just ported from the other games, slightly updated for the PS3. You can't deny that having inconsistent quality absolutely hurts the Gran Turismo series credibility. There is just no possible way you could spin something like, 800 very ugly looking cars, as a positive, compared to Forza 3s 500+ beautifully rendered machines, with fully modeled cockpit views.

The same day you arrive, you bring up Forza twice in this post alone. I wonder how many mirror this very Forza-worship?

Yeah. As I said earlier. Obvious.

Take your PS3 and go to your friend that have better connection!
I wish I could, have to work ALL week (long days, out at 8 in the morning, and back home at 8-9 in the evening)

Better girl, you know what to do while GT5 updates...:sly:
True, I guess my girlfriend and I will have to fight over the remote... Again ;) :sly:

Not troll, the truth  I have 50Mbs in/out connection <3

Show off? ;)

These videos excite me. Cannot wait.

That's the spirit! We must keep the good vibes and fight the "bad guys" (LMAO) with good stuff like this. And I think we gotta be thankful.

For example, I want the option to change wheels on standards, I really want this more than my next breathe and looks like we ain't going to have it on Spec 2.0. But I am HAPPY AS F... that we're getting this huge update, these new features, the simplified cockpits and all the effort from PD towards us.

So, why get mad? There will be more updates after this. Kaz said that GT5 is a living creature that will gain form with time and inputs from the community.

People think that game-development its a child joke, and it isn't. To develop a thing such as mid-race saves I bet 20 programmers from PD lost their hair of so much thinking and working. LOL These stuff take time, plus they are always working on other stuff.

I'm happy, and I'm thankful to have Spec2.0

Keep the good vibes. Watch those videos, imagine yourself blasting through Nordschleife using the cockpit view in the RUF Yellowbird when its raining... that will be amazing.

And usually at night, raining or late afternoon its always dark. You usually don't see much stuff in the interior unless you turn some lights on, and we're focused on the road anyway... the simplified cockpits will do the job... and I don't even have a wheel! Wheel users will have a blast with these!

Detailed premium cockpits are fantastic, but I enjoy them a lot more when cruising. When serious racing, I don't even notice some details... I'm focused on the road.

I was pretty sure before, but now i'm 110% positive that maxpontiac has absolutely nothing of worth to say, and putting him on my ignore list is a good move.

Ideally we'll get premium RUFs in the car DLC pack. :D But i'm trying to be realistic here, don't want to let my expectations down.

It's not so much about agreeing or disagreeing. It's the morals some people show. This update includes A LOT of the things MANY people have requested, especially in-game race saves. Now that they're released, we get discussions about how this should've been released from the start, 1 year too late, lame this, that, etc... just because something they personally want isn't included? On top of that, just read the contradictions some of them are saying. Contradiction is one of the few signs of trolling.

That's what I think at least.

There is also things that were not included that many people wanted. It goes both ways. I dont think just because they are not happy they should be shot down.

Granted the in game race saves are a great addition for people who didnt have time to play a game for 24 hours. There are also just as much fluff that adds nothing.

Is nobody else concerned that there has been no new game play announced? Yes there are lots of features that add to the current game but if you've finished that, where is the new content?

I'm hoping this is one of the things not announced yet. I got the impression that Kaz was not finished listing Spec 2.0 features.

How about you two take it to pm, and let us discuss spec 2.0.

We are not interested in your cyber argument.

I'm sure there will be plenty more little bonuses.

I really wanted Standard rims. That is the only thing I really, really, really want. This cockpit view is something I always wanted too. I honestly cannot wait for Spec 2.0.
