I for one would like more practice in race conditions. Especially in pack racing. You just can't make one error of judgement or a caution will be called.

I'll try and host some rooms throughout the week for small race practice sessions.

I thought it went pretty well, felt too many cautions ruined the flow of the race though, had a nice momentumn going myself untill that point and couldnt get it back at the end.

Delighted with 3rd and my 1st Indy Car podium! :D

Single file restarts should help a bit. Congrats mate, handed you that podium on the last turn

Penalties

Fastfox - Lap 25 restart engine damage to Cowboys, kind of a divebomb into T1. Could have let it slide but he did a similar thing to me later on the same lap. together they constitute a single penalty - 5 points

Smuffy - Unsafe pit entry/passing commitment line - 5 points

I hardly got any reports, I was only aware of the Fox incident because I could see it. Seems the others were driver error or racing incidents.

Also just a warning to fastfox, I could have given you a couple more points there mate, watch how late you're braking when there are cars around you. It may be your line/braking zone but you've got to take other competitors into consideration.

Tables up momentarily.

EDIT: It's cos' you didn't race last week Cowboys, I'm updating them now.

Drivers Championship

(F) stands for 'Freelance Driver'. These drivers can earn team points for any team with only 1 other driver in the race.

Matty - Yes I did mate. You didn't really deserve one for that first accident and for the engine damage, it wasn't entirely his fault, the field was bunching up and he wasn't doing over 70; also he did make quite an effort to brake hard but couldn't quite miss you.

Penske back where it belongs 👍

Gained a spot in the very tight fight for points.

Not a bad night all round.

Oh okay thanks Tom, after that I probably should have called a caution for a incident which seen me get caught between to cars and spin.. But I had already lost motivation by then..

No worries, chin up mate, next week will be better 👍

Normally i would be pretty upset. But i'm only here to have fun.
I guess, bring on the next race.

Ah I wasn't pissed off anyway, just had a long day and only 5 hours sleep that night. Mentally wrecked, first 5 classes at school on that day I hadn't sat down for more then 5 minutes.. Was roughly 5-6 hours on my feet..

Next week I should do better cause Tokyo doesn't have sand traps ;)

No problems. The incident where I side swiped was cause by lag. Screen completely froze for a second. I'm really starting to hate this dirty air model.

It's okay 1 v 1 because it's like a push to pass system but in a pack it can get quite tricky.

Let's see if I can manage to not pick up damage on the first lap at Tokyo this time...

It's close in the drivers standings right now, just 1 point in it for 1st.

Like when I collided with Cowboy I pulled out of the draft to avoid it. Then hit brakes at my normal point, Downshifted early to keep from running anyone over. Hit the dirty air and it just sucked me into him.

Yeah he was in a really bad mood and tried telling me to go to class.:D

Joe - Your not gonna get 1st that easy mate
Brendan - Next time backhand your sister rofl, Dragon Racing needs to rise up in the ranks

I'll have to see if I can pull off another qualifying lap like I did last season at Tokyo. I found half a second over my best lap on my final qualifying run.

Tom, can you please speak up, or someone take over for telling people "caution", i got one person blaring in my ear, that i can't hear my own car, but you are quite as a mouse. And then there's people talking during the race, which is massively distracting.
And on Cautions can we please just drive, and don't keep Start-Stopping.

Also, 3 races, 3 times stitched up on the last or second to last lap.

I have the same problem as you mate, i cant hear TOM at all duting the race, but the other guys who are talking and distracting i can hear quite well. I do have a Mic but i do not turn it on as the more people that have mics, the more lag we all lag. Besides, the Op clearly states that the mics are to be used only for important messages not tell everyone what you or others around you are doing.
The incident on lap 1 should be looked at too, i will PM TOM as 3 or 4 cars were involved in the contact caused by knelly.

Sometimes I repeat calls after they've been made to make sure they're heard. I'll try and do this every time from now on.

I checked last season's thread to make sure I was right about my one-off qualifying lap being at Tokyo. That lap was 6 tenths faster than any other lap I did at the track (1:19.5xx, with my next fastest lap being 1:20.1xx).

I did tell everybody to PM with incidents ASAP, I'll have to redo everything now

I encourage the use of mics, if you can't hear something, speak up and ask mate. I only tell people to shut up during caution periods, otherwise talk all you like.

One further penalty of 5pts will be awarded to Knelly for slamming into the back of smuffy on lap 2 causing a pileup on the back straight. Pretty sure you held your hands up to this during the race mate so we won't have any problems about appeals? 👍

Knelly
Damn, thought I got away with that. Yep, hands up to that one.

Doh!

I watched the replay, you were going down the back stretch as usual approaching the turn and my exact though process was, 'Hang on a minute, why's he not brak...and he's crashed'

Yeah. Mixture of nerves, adrenaline, unexpected draft pull making me shift up a gear more than expected.

My bad.

I was looking at my race replay, and on lap 13 at the start on my screen there was around 5 pit crew guys strolling around the start finish line with tyres in there hands.

WTF!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?
