Yeah but in a way its unfair towards everyone else. It then becomes some what biased. By being able to drop a race will lead to being a fairer season.. Just limit which race can be dropped. For example first and last and Cant drop the 500. Or something along those lines.

Exactly. This! đź‘Ť
But one thing I disagree with, why not the first race? Or even the last?

I didn't want to miss Indy, but I had to.

Just drop your worst finish, no matter what race. I don't see the big deal here.

Hmm, I do see all your points of view to be honest. I don't normally agree with it but I think it will make the fight for the championship closer since everyone will be on a level playing field regardless of real life situations.

I kinda do have to postpone it Cowboys, not much I can do.

I agree but not to drop the Indy 500. ItÂ’s the most important race of the series so you shouldnÂ’t be able to drop it.
Also took 1 second of my time with the mediums compared to the hards

I find that unfair, just because you're the host, you get the "Get out of jail free" card. Whereas people who missed races, (me included) will always be 1 race behind everyone who made them all, and you of course, because you'll postpone a race, just because you can't make it.

One thing I love about this thread, people can say stuff like this and not get their necks cut off like in the TOCA thread.

Although, not trying to be cynical, but hard not to be, it is unfair how if your unable to make a race you can just move the calendar back.

Heres an idea, everybody drops there worst race. Excluding Indy 500 and Daytona Oval (Finale I think)

Anyone else agree?

There's a reason Drop postpones races when he can't make it, it complicates things because I can't save the replay and have an opinion on incidents and everything prior to the event will be generally unorganized because I'm not there.

The drop race rule will probably happen but I'll still postpone round 4.

EDIT: I'm not postponing the race simply for my own good points-wise, it's so the event runs smoothly as per usual đź‘Ť

I see your point and fully understand why postponing is the better option now.

I don't mind you postponing as long as you allow everyone to drop a race. đź‘Ť

Im in agreement with Smuffy. As long as everyone else can drop their worst finish it will keep the championship fair..

I'd be happy with allowing a dropped race as long as it isn't the Indy 500 or the World Championship race at Daytona.

So, on this track, we have to slow down to 60mph, before we hit the entry pitwall entry at indy? And maintain speed until computer takes over?, because the entry is pretty darn big.

We're scrapping that rule for this evening guys.

NO pit lane speed limit for this round only đź‘Ť

Good race in all guys. Some lose finishes.

Duet close pack racing and draft I rear ended a couple if people. Smuffy lap 1 and Tom after one if the first two cautions.

Massive apologies and if it's felt that penalties are deserved then I will accept them.

Need to check people's compounds through the race though, and Cowboys crossing the commitment line.

Good finishes fir Tim and Smuffy in the battle with me, and congrats to Joe.

Not bad tonight, bit wild but that's racing. I'm pretty disappointed with my performance but we're at Tokyo next week and that's one of my stronger tracks.

PM me any incidents and we'll review them đź‘Ť

A steady race until lap 24 (I was loving that gap) but lag cost me my race as my screen froze then next thing I know I had mechanical damage and in the back :@ but nonetheless nice 1v1 with neljack, you won't be so lucky in Tokyo

No worries Knelly, itÂ’s all in the racing. Was a good battle at the last lap, and what happened to tom?
Sorry to PAWEL. I looked at the replay and I gave a very faint nudge but due to lag he got shot off the track.

Yeah I was having lag issues also.. Apologize to tom when my i side swiped you. Screen just happened to freeze on corner entry.

You mean Smuffy's crossing the commitment line? I wasn't pitting that lap.

Yeah it was smuffy, he probably thought it was you cos' you were talking about it happening to you last season at HSR.

Tom, can you please speak up, or someone take over for telling people "caution", i got one person blaring in my ear, that i can't hear my own car, but you are quite as a mouse. And then there's people talking during the race, which is massively distracting.
And on Cautions can we please just drive, and don't keep Start-Stopping.

Also, 3 races, 3 times stitched up on the last or second to last lap.

It's probably partly to do with the fact you haven't got a mic. It makes it much harder for you to hear me.

Are there penalties for caution lap incidences?

On the caution laps that I led I stayed between 65 and 70mph most of the time, so it may just be how everyone reacts to the car in front. Once one guy slows down a little, everyone behind has to as well, and the same for when they speed up.

Last year on road courses I had varied luck, with wins when I wasn't the fastest person (HSR, was about 3rd or 4th fastest), or bad finishes from races I'd been running away with (Laguna and Toscana). With all the cautions today I thought it'd be one of those that got away from me at the end, but I held on.

I'll try and work out stats for the race like I did for the oval last week. I believe my pole lap was 1:14.828, but I'm not 100% on that. I'll get the field size, fastest lap, and % under caution in the next few days.
