After you left thing become a clutster fawk. I quit with 10 laps to go. I cuased knelly engine damage in a caution he pitted told matty to lay off doing 70-80 towards the end. I had left a huge gap, Dropped down to 60 with a large gap coming out of the last turn the first three just stop. Cuasing more damage.. I just quit. I cant deal with the disorganization.

Brilliant work man, awesome finish. Well done to Joe aswell.

Calmed down a bit now, I'm more passive on the situation; it's only GT5 after all.

I should have won, but I didn't because I messed up the first hairpin after caution.

Was a mess after you went, I'll try upload and send you a link to the replay during the week.

Lucky race for me. I went from 20 seconds ahead of being lapped, to winning. A couple more guys have said they'll probably leave the series, but we'll see.

Hmm, I can imagine it was. Okay man, that would be great.

This may not be the best time to mention such a thing, but I'm not planning an IndyCar S3 as of now. I'm considering cutting down my GT5 racing to the Sprint Cup simply so I can keep in touch with some of you guys but I'll most likely turn to iRacing for the rest of my racing such as IndyCar etc. by the fall of this year.

Not set in stone, but I'm strongly considering it.

EDIT: We'll see Joe, it seems a bit premature people leaving to be fair. They know it's not like this when I'm there, which is the majority of the time.

I have no problems with anyone. Just disorganization. If my SCCA events were as tonight, I would pull all of my hair out.

I'm on the same page as you are Tom. Leaning more towards Iracing.

Matty, brilliant night of racing from you! :D

If your dissapointed in a second place your clearly heading in the right direction.;) HSR tomorrow.:D

Anyway, sorry I couldn't finish, had to leave and couldn't be bothered going back on as my PS3 was off at that stage.

Edit: And I hit IndyWolf under caution, sorry about that, was having problems with visability and concentration, the night track was a bit of a challenge, won't happen again if we meet on track.👍

All I can say is my race was ruined since the start

I got shunted on the 1st caution lap ( It think lap 2 or 3) giving me engine damage and then around the 2nd to last caution lap I got shunted near the start/finish line causing me engine damage.

On other news: It seems that street course are out to get me or I've been spending too much time in F1 2011 and GT5 gods are punishing me but anyway I need to get out of this slump :(

Good Win to Joe, amazing comeback and nice racing matty, it seems SSR5 is your turf.

P.S. Isn't SSRX next on the list?

I'm sure somebody will continue S3, I would, but if Joe or Knelly want to they would be up the list from me. I can't let this die so even if you leave and nobody wants to pick it up I'll continue it and even if nobody wants to race it I'll race myself.

I would definitely like to continue, if you do part ways, I'm sure we could continue, but we'd like to have you stay. 👍

Thanks guys, like I said nothing's certain but y'know. Even if I did leave and you continued I'd probably pop back for the Indy 500 or the World Championships perhaps.

I wouldn't be able to take over for S3, since my internet isn't too good for hosting. Possibly if someone else hosted the room.

No worries, I think I have the ****tiest performance/luck on street courses but if we meet on a road/oval course you see my true racing abilities :D

EDIT: I'll still race in the IndyCar series if you guys continue but as long as we have a TomMcD memorial race or something like that

I had a good race and am happy with qualifying second with a 1.04.6, I had a very good race but I hit pit road like an idiot when pitting and it didn't let me get any tires. So I had to pit again then the cautions started coming out and under caution I got more damage than anything lol. I spun in the end and finished 4th, which is decent for sucking so much. I'll continue with this series but I hope that the cautions and starts go a little smoother and with more organization, I didn't know when to start, one point somebody was screaming go way before the start line and I ended up passing into 3rd from 5th but I gave the positions back quickly.

I might buy SSRX, since I already missed a race and I want to if I can fight for points. Also I don't know where the hell LilKarl is, so I'm hoping I can get another teammate for Andretti Autosports.

Sorry to Cowboys for the hit when lapping him.

It's no big deal, you would've lapped me sooner or later.

Did you expect me to go high? I probably should of, but I was being a little aggressive at the time.

I'll look into everything once I have the replay in hand which should be midweek.

I really enjoy racing with you guys, I have to mention Joe, Knelly, Matty, Cowboys and Smuffy as you guys have been here from day 1; that's why I'm going to complete the rest of the season. But after this, GT5 has pretty much run it's course for me, it doesn't have much else to offer. Like I said, I'll do the Sprint Cup just to keep in contact with you guys but iRacing holds much more interest for me right now, I mean look at this video I've just found; it's somebody's recreation of the 2010 Indy promo video I added to the OP a couple of days back using iRacing and it looks simply phenomenal. Not to mention the realism etc.

This is a really tough track to be racing these cars on, little to no visibility and simply a difficult circuit. For a rookie in my first indycar race I found it to be really intense and exciting, a lot of fun.

The cautions were a problem obviously, and I personally got slammed in the back by one particular driver on the pace lap and 2 of the caution periods, and I also rear ended someone at one point in the race, and after that I made sure to keep my distance and not be driving directly behind someone but a little to the right or left of them to give myself options for if the pack slowed dramatically.

Otherwise it was really good and clean from what I saw, hope to be back next week

11 laps of ssrx next week (running unrestricted engines). If I remember correctly, we said we'd run with light damage. For a caution we'd slow down and wait for those involved to catch up, then we'd decide on a certain point to be the restart and go green there.

Are we running any ballast?

All correct and nope to ballast.

I might be getting iRacing in the summer. And if you don't continue S3 I will, depending on what Knelly wants to do himself. Otherwise I'll happily take it over. Might check the vid out later, haven't the Internet to check it ATM as I'm nearly out. (won't ever happen again.)

Anyway, got my best ever finish in this series, can't complain. Unless I run into trouble whilst trying to send you the replay..

Cowboys965

Didn't see that, probably just angry at what happened. After all it all went wrong when Tom DC'd. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't mean it.

I was still aggrevated. Just need to vent. I'll be ther next week and till the end of the series. I have no problem continuing on to S3. Hell I'd even be race director, there would be a few changes but still essentially the same.

I thought it was excellent racing last night :D. People (all of us probs) do need to give more space on cautions though :/

That's been an issue since this series began, and I've always advised people to leave more space; they never listen :grumpy:

No Tom what happens is nobody stays the same speed so get people who back off 10+ car lengths then jump hard to catch up then slam on the brakes. So the leader may only be doing 75 but 4-5-6 cars back are only going 50.. It helps with a pace car.
