Missed again :grumpy: had to run to the bank after work yesterday to pick up car loan paperwork and didn't get home in time so I didn't even bother getting on...

No Tom what happens is nobody stays the same speed so get people who back off 10+ car lengths then jump hard to catch up then slam on the brakes. So the leader may only be doing 75 but 4-5-6 cars back are only going 50.. It helps with a pace car.

Well if everybody was leaving 8-10 car lengths up until the final sector of the last yellow flag lap speed fluctuation wouldn't matter. It sounds a long way but it really isn't considering the closing speed of these cars.

I thought the race started at at 6pm EST? Ugh idk I probably confused myself. I didn't check I just figured it took too much time.

It did start then (11pm BST/6pm EDT), but you got online about 10-15 minutes before the end of qualifying.

Double header at SSRX for IC and SC this weekend, should be fun.

Let's hope that we don't ruin the circuit before the Sprint cars get on it 👍

I guess I didn't realize. I figured I got back too late. Whoops :nervous:

I may open a FGT room at Indy after the 500 is finished, just unrestricted FGT at Indy on RH tyres... would anyone be up for it?

Possibly, I'll see if I'm around man.

EDIT: All incidents for Friday's race are to be PM'ed to Joe. If you don't PM him, it won't be investigated; also use PM's instead of PSN messages which I've had a couple of lately, it keeps everything tidy and on this site for anyone sorting out penalties.

I won't, Soccer Aid and tryna catch the F1 repeat.

Got Joe working on penalties with me giving opinions when needed.

On a side note, that was one hell of an Indy 500, don't tell Knelly though :P

On another side note, just bought the Dallara IndyCar, Iowa Speedway, Texas Speedway, Indy MS, Homestead Miami, Michigan and The Milwaukee Mile on iRacing :D

Yup, cheers dude :D

Depends on the series schedule for each season really. The fixed IndyCar series revolves around the tracks I bought and they're reused along with other ovals in the higher class (B) Indy series. Late Model NASCAR's are popular and race on short tracks mainly; all your three main NASCAR series are also popular and race all sorts of ovals.

The good thing is that you can buy a track for one series and chances are it'll be reused elsewhere. E.G, I bought Iowa Speedway for IndyCar but I have the Late Model car and that series is racing there in a couple of weeks so I can partake in that too for no extra content bought.

PM me your email, and I'll try upload the replay in an hour or so for you. 👍

I'll PM mine to you also so it doesn't end up in your spam..:)

Indy 500 was awesome, great race and deserved winner 👍

So, my day has consisted of two rounds at Phillips Island in V8's, followed by the Monaco GP, followed by the Indy 500, and now watching the Coca Cola 600.

Think that's enough for one day?

Agree, he really got the job done. Dan would be proud.

I've done Monaco and the 500, gonna give the 600 a miss. I'll watch Sky's highlights tomorrow :P

Email sent Matty 👍

I missed everything due to work, watching F1 replay on red button and streaming the 600 simultaneously

And replied 👍

I watched Tony Kanaan's onboard the whole race along with the TV coverage.

You could hear the radio talk, him giving a pep talk to the team before the final restart. Cool.

Awesome; I heard him give a little message to Target to pass onto Dario before the restart but not the pep talk.

I was onboard with Marco Andretti for a lot of the race and he was cursing like crazy it was hilarious and uncensored on ESPN3, my favorite comment was: "Yeah it's f'ing loose, I'm not pitting because I'm bored!"

 Wish I heard that.

Would liked to have just heard Stewart in the pits right now as well 🤬

Indy 500 - Those last 50 laps were the best in any 500 I've witnessed on the edge of my seat the entire time, but an ended on a good noted for most but not for one.

Monaco was astounding aswell 👍

Rusty - LOL poor Marco and Ryan though

For a change there was none of this fuel saving. Just pure racing. After Wheldon died I swore to myself never to watch Indycar's on ovals again, but I may have been swayed back in...

when building up to the end i though Sato had moved on from his days in F1 where he would crash the car every other session. And then just as his moment came BANG!, old sato was back in town
