Congrats to Nicko. As a brand new entrant in the GTP registry, and yet to race in any official event, I can already see there are some problems with the Division rankings.

I've been sent straight into Division 2 bronze, but there is no way I could have consistantly pumped out the 1'42's seen in Division 3.

Food for thought anyway.

Don't worry mate, there are drivers like AussieNicko and Tzayad who should be higher up in the divisions, like D1 bronze. Regular Division 2 times were 1'43s average. Only the top gold guys were getting 1'42s. the D1 guys were averaging 1'42s as well.

All the best
Maz

Well done to everyone who got through so far and commiserations to those who didnt. Heres my updated table, for now.(the double feature race results for division 3 were a bit tricky to do).....:)👍

Would it be possible to make this a zipfile instead of a rar?

Firstly, I would like to thank GTP_Tzayad for a GREAT race and an excellent write-up.

Secondly, I would like to thank everyone else for the kind words and support. Also thanks to everyone who participated in Event 02 and congratulations to everyone who made it to round 4.

GTP_Sedubius v GTP_Twisted

Best of three due to the world event being needed.

The lead swapped over a few times in the first race although I managed to just hold the lead before the timer expired.

Second race went to its conclusion and saw me win by 0.06 seconds! Closest race I've been involved in, and absolutely nail-biting.

Hats off to GTP_Sedubius for a couple of thrilling races - it was nip and tuck all the way 👍

👍 to everyone involved in the competition.

Here we go Cohiba. Rar and zip results thus far....👍:)

👍

It's just that I don't want to download yet another utility just to unpack rar files.

Well, I had to for this file but neh mind, you got the zip now. Its nice that people are downloading it...👍👍

Seems like the zip file is more popular than the rar, so will post both from now on....:):)..I'll stop posting now for a bit...looks like im spamming...:yuck::yuck::)

Yes, please don't Double Post. I'll merge the last 2.

However, we do appreciate your help and enthusiasm. 👍

I'm so excited to see what are new events!

I hope they figure something interesting new combos to pro-events. Best would be changed driving directions, but like we have seen, even small 'radical' changes seems to be impossible to PD.

Obvioust changes are PP's and Tracks I think. I really hope that 10lapper will stay... but not in Eiger, HSR, London, or Oval. :scared:

GTP_Prudentbear vs. GTP_Timppaq

After previous experiences in the past, I promised myself to be this time as well prepared as I ever could. So took couple of hours to prepare & warm up myself for the race and have to say that when the race started, I felt pretty good and confident. Was hotlapping competitive times and got my pit strategy sorted and the stops trained.

We got a good grid of only 5 racers and 2 of the outsiders were tagged, so this was looking good. We agreed to wait 40sec at the start and so we did.

The race was most intense at the beginning, me getting a good start from pole and John following. After a few corners saw a hint of a little gap starting to grow between us so decided to push 101% immediately and not observe the situation at all..

Pitted from the first lap and got it right.. didn't lose any extra time and kept John's car insight when coming out of the pit. On the second lap saw John not pitting and decided to follow him at least for a lap. He pitted on the 3rd lap and I managed to avoid any mistakes and got a decent laptime. Both drove a few laps till I thought that there is a good gap between us and pitted the second time maybe on lap 4 (or 5). Coming out of the pits, we were together on the first corner, and keeping the tight line managed to keep 1st position. After this we drove a few laps, gap between us growing slowly.. and by this time I was pretty sure that if I keep the car on the track I can take this. Saw John pit on the 7th (or 8th) lap and there was only a few laps to go to the finish line. Taking no risks drove the car to the line took the win.

(I saw that John had to deal with a tagged Lotus before his 2nd stop, don't know how it went and did he lose time there (?), but otherwise we were lucky to get a very clean grid and not crowded race)

Thanks John for the race and being a good sports and agreeing to race against me and finding time to do it before the event update 👍 Our race was extremely clean & fair and enjoyed it very much. Always nice to get a little raise on the heartbeat.. :) ..hope to see you on the track soon, maybe a slightly more relaxed race then..

-Timo

ps.s correct me if I got those laps wrong.. too tired to remember correctly.

Congrats, Timo. 👍

And thanks again, John, for agreeing to re-race. No shame at all in losing to Timo.

Just a quick note to let everyone know we're working out the details for the next race, and will have something up later today, or tomorrow at the latest. :D

Nice one Kevin. 👍

Yeah... 👍

I'm very excited to see where my execution will happen!

:scared:

Edit: I have troubles to stay in my pants, while waiting. I feel there is coming somekind of special final-combo... like that we need to drive one race in every Expert-event, and winner would be guy who wins more races. 💡

Ah, choices choices. Do I practice the Nissan this week even though I have a bye or do I go straight for something else for the division champs? The F430/N1 feels like a very plausible candidate for the div champs. But then again the M3 was used for three weeks...

Daytona Road was quite clear track choice. 👍

By the way, I just noticed that Sauber took JvM out...? That's big scalp man! I was sure JvM will win Div2. He is unbelievable fast and consistent in every car/track always.

(Un)fortunately I was only lucky in this race. JvM was the victim of a punter. He sure would have won without this approx. 5s handicap.
