Excellent! Let the battle commence :)

This week the results of every single race are going to be hugely significant, and I can feel the pressure mounting on me personally already. I've watched GTP_MJH improve steadily throughout the last year or so and he's at the stage where he's always on the Division 2 overall podium for WRS. I don't even feel like I will be racing a D2 bronze driver any longer.

Anyone who beats GTP_mr_geez deserves incredible respect 👍

Here's to a great race Matt and I'm sure I'll see you during my practise runs
I'll be in touch by PM for organisation.

Thank you once again for all your time and effort GTP_EDK, things went a bit quiet for a while there, but this is back with a bang.

All the best
Maz

Heres my latest results table so far, and week 4 entrants....👍:)

Thanks Maz, you'll make me blush.

I'm feeling the pressure too and it's gonna be a close race if this weeks wrs times are any indication.

Matt.

Just so that there is absolutely no misunderstanding. We are speaking of the "Concept by GT" Skyline Coupe, are we not?

Edit: And now I actually read the race specifics and found that the question had indeed been answered there for anyone with the ability to read.

I have made a tune for the Class Championship Skyline. However, due to wanting to get it out tonight and not wait until Thursday, it hasn't been race tested yet, so the gears might be too short for all I know (could top out under slipstream). If anyone tries my tune and notices something wrong, let me know.

The pitlane exit on this one is extremely tricky indeed, very narrow lane and sharp corners. Almost no margin for error whatsoever. The only upside is that the entry is full speed, and if someone is drafting you even over there, it shouldn't end in as much drama as Fuji.

This is a very hard car to not make mistakes in for 10 laps, and the race is soooo loooong :scared:

Had a brief practise last night and must agree, it's a great combo for a class final. Pit exit really is :ill:

Great to be compelled to drive this car too; not sure I ever have, so thanks EDK 👍

Also big 👍 to you Paulie for doing a tune. I wasn't looking forward to trying to work one out myself, and yours are always the foundation of a potentially great drive!

Hi guys.

I need a little help, i cant find my race partner in the members list (GTP_Liston) does anyone know his user name here?

GTP_Hyperspeed VS GTP_Aki.

We hooked up first time, no problems. Both made our way onto the pitlane and lined up in our positions, 40 secs soon came and we were off. Turn 1 went without a hitch and I made a little ground. Aki was soon on my tail again approaching the bus stop for the 1st time. :nervous: I pitted first, him 2nd me 3rd him 4th.

We were still close, around 1.5 secs apart at a guess. We caught up another car and I belive Aki may have got held up a little. We were then 2 seconds or so appart. And I managed to run some nice laps with a best of 1'48.2 and pull away to 4.5 seconds. Made a few errors on lap 10, the nerves where getting to me. :dopey: Lost half a second and finished 4 secs up. Me and Aki spoke in the chat and he was happy with the race result. Should be a video up shortly.

Congratulation Hyper. 👍

Sorry Aki but you had an head part in an awesome video. Can’t wait to see it 👍

P.s you guys have an tune for me. I must race next Saturday. :nervous:  Thnx

Can't help you there but I hope you win that race so it'll be you (Steve) versus me (Steven) for the Division race :D

Yep...

That's quite about it in the nut-shell. You were great. Gongratulations!

Uploading video is ready in hour from now I think...
if you cant get HQ choice, try to watch it later. YouTube sometimes are processing videos long time. I wish Race-Admins could watch first part of our race, and say did everything went right when taking grid-positions, and when pitting. I had littlebit unsure feelings about procedures at start in this track, and about short-cutting white lines when pitting. It could help others to do things right, when you correct if there is something what could I done better. (...and I dont mean results of race :grumpy: )

Big probs to EDK... You really have create a great competition! 👍
I hate myself so much, that I'm no longer in that quality group of guys who still continue. What will I do now... my life is meaningless now on. :(

hi .. im fine.. :) only with more work now.. univ. started again :ouch: and you!? are you in europe again?

as Timo said its sunday... we dont know the hour yet.. but i'll tell you when we decide if you want 👍

Good race. Congrats Hyper, like a machine.

Hyper was clearly quicker in free air but it would probably have been a different race altogether if that backmarker hadn't held Aki up.

Thanks for the video Aki, I think I learned where I can find a lot of time from it.

I think it brings consistent to my racing. I cant screw up when recording, so I need to drive more careful, and think how should I act in different situations. One pressure aspect it actually brings... I have so light table, that if I do hard steering moves my camera can fall. That's littlebit frustrating, but I have learned to drive 'softier' because that.

It also is so important part of my racing in these days. I love to analyze races like yesterday, and search my week points and failed acts, like that passing manouvre with Corvette... (why did I try from left-side... aarrghh :ouch: )

I think I would feel much more pressure without cam... now my back is always secured against empty accusations.

By the way... should I send apologise to that Corvette? :nervous: I have flashback that I was littlebit rough there. The pressure of staying in contact with Hyper made me act like Schummy, and to pass him with any costs.

Where is 'the line', when it needs to be apologise sended in your mind?

Edit: Now when I have watched that collision between me and Corvette... I hate myself even more than earlier. :ouch: Why I didn't just follow Hyper there!? I had that chance, but I wanted to keep 'smoothline', and then that Corvette lift his gas probaply, and I hit his back. I'm sooo pissed! Hyper was faster yes, but I could have done that battle to being very epic by slipstreaming him.

Thanks. I didn't even realise there was a new car to race in (given the events changed I should have :dunce:) until wolfdude asked me to do the tune.

Mate, looks like TwistedNav & I will both be using your tune for our 1-on-1 race! This will be really interesting as its down to the driver's skill 100% and not the tune :nervous: Looking forward to the race!

i think you're agressive there and he was lagging.. so.. it happens.. i think theres no need to make an apologize at that PT dude 👍

Aki - Thanks for sharing your video. 👍

Sorry that you were knocked out, but you kept the pressure on once you guys were 1st and 2nd. Well done to both of you. 👍 Remember that I've been knocked out too, so I also have to find something to add meaning in my life. ;)

On the start procedures, at the grid, you were a bit closer to GTP_Hyperspeed than I would have intended. You were right off the left rear of Hyperspeed, and I would like to see grid 2 to the left of the yellow line, and behind the grey conrete and white line, like this -

Not that it would have earned you a DQ or anything. :sly:
And you both exited the pit area fine for the race start.

As for the pit lane part, can you make me a short vid clip of one of your pit stops? Because you handled it perfectly. 👍

Oh, and congrats to Dan (GTP_Hyperspeed) on the win as well. 👍

Kevin

Massive congratulations to Dan "The Man" HyperukSpeedBrightGreenAudi 👍 :D

All D1 races from here on in should be televised!

Aki, comiserations on your defeat, you took some great scalps on your way to the class championship. Your honesty and driving integrity are to be commended and thought of as an example to the rest of us. Better luck in the next championship mate, I could well be joining you on the Event 02 scrapheap this weekend :nervous:

All the best
Maz

Thanks for your answers EDK... when I did took my Grid Position, I realized immediately that this aint looking same than in that photo which was in 'Race Specifics'-thread. I should had practice 'taking grid positions' too. I only did pit-stop sessions.

I actually did took 'perfect start', but I lifted my gas immediately just that I wouldn't pass Hyper there... I didn't want to take any risk that my grid-mistake could cause any speculates.

Here you can download my first pit in HQ: http://rapidshare.com/files/205226191/Pit_Stop__Daytona_Road.m4v.html

Edit: Thanks Synwraith... all kind words helps a lot in my misery. 👍
