Italy, but please note you can't submit yet. We will be announcing when submissions are open in the coming week.

Before I start, I apologise, because you've probably answered this question hundreds of times. But what day and time are the WRS races on? I really should have asked this before I went ahead and started setting lap times.

The WRS TT'S run all week, they are normally posted on a Sunday and are available to run until the deadline which is 99% of the time Monday at 23:59GMT.
Here is a an example TT from GT5 https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtp_wrs-week-144-max-headroom.290305/

The WRS/3D3 Online races are on a Wednesday and are available at two different times, 20:00 GMT and 3:00am GMT, with special events available some weekends.
Here is the thread for the next online event on January the 8th.

Ok, thanks a lot. I'll sign up to the next event next week. I'm slightly confused now, I thought the final date for the qualifications were on 13th January, maybe I'm thinking of a different league or something...

The final date for Qualification is the 13th :).

The online races are unofficial until the qualification is finished and the Division placements are made, once all thats done the Official TT's will start, Official online racing will start and the fun begins :)

Yes, you must submit the replays with the PSN account you want to register with.

After a few hours more on the Willow combo, I was able to run my best lap time. Found almost 1 sec in the last sector. I guess I was just running to carefull in that sector. I will probably find more time, but it is hard to tell because we're running in the 'blind'. And i probably keep repeating the same errors, altough my best lap now looks smooth.... time will tell... Still haven't ran a single lap on the second combo.....

In the Renault at Willow Springs time trial, what are the boundaries for the final corner?

Are you asking about the boundaries at track left on corner exit? Or track right/apex?

Well, let me just cover both. :dopey:

Track right/Apex - 2 Left side of car tires need to be in contact with tarmac or (Red and White) rumble strip. The 2 right side tires can be in the dirt.

Track left/exit. This one gets a little muddy. You need to have at least 2 tires in contact with tarmac at all times. With the extra "cut out" over there, it's theoretically possible to have 2 front tires on with 2 rear tires off, and then get back over to the right on time. It ends up looking sort of like the end of a lap at the Top Gear Test Track. :P

We've already discussed as an admin team, and do not believe a significant advantage can be gained through taking that approach, so we do not have a corner specific rule disallowing it.

Also, it should be mentioned that you are not allowed to hit cones anywhere. There are obviously a whole bunch of them on track left of the final corner. Keep in mind, even if you knock them down on one lap, they are going to show up on the replay as you running them over if you run over that same spot on a subsequent lap. If you knock over a cone, best to hit the restart button.

Extracted from the qualifier instructions, hope this helps 👍

Track Boundaries:
  • Red and white rumbles and tarmac between the white lines are legal track. No other surfaces are track.
  • Cones are not to be touched.
  • The inside of the white line is the track boundary, as detailed below.
  • Breaking boundary rules on the final corner of the lap prior to your best lap is strictly forbidden. We will make cursory checks of Start/Finish line speed on all replays, and will disqualify outliers. Those who are disqualified will not have a second chance at submission.

Good news guys, Fetchy is ready and the registry has been opened for submissions.

If you already tried to submit but got a message back that the registry was closed you can submit again and this time you will be accepted.

Happy new year
Yay! :D Will upload my replay files to my laptop shortly :) Looking forward to finding out where everyone gets placed!
Happy New Year everyone! :gtpflag::cheers:

Well, with about 90 total hours invested in both of these, I continue on. Been battling the flu the last few days so things have been rough, but there is no rest for the weary. Just improved a bit more at Brands and now pretty close to the limit there. Improved slightly at Willow yesterday which also pretty much brings me to my limit there also. However, like I always did in the TT's, I will continue on right up till the deadline. So, the "warrior" marches on. ;)

If my calculations are correct then that means you've played 10 hours every day since the qualifier was released! 👍

I did about 4 hours on the Willow combo. But that is it for me this year.

Happy New Year to the WRS community, see ya all next year !:gtpflag:

Yep, pretty much. I usually start at around 9am and quit around 8pm. (Such is life on disability) I've been keeping track of times spent on both to try and give each one an equal amount of time. And yes, I am crazy but I have but one goal in mind here in the big scheme of things, and I will not rest till I get there. ;)

That's real commitment there! 👍 I hope you manage to qualify where you're aiming for! :)

Thanks, but that's not the only goal here as I'm also thinking "big picture". ;)

Happy New Year to all my friends here. Remember, if you drink, don't drive. (That's what got me into my situation, thanks to someone else that didn't heed that advice. :() I myself will be right here doing what I love. 👍 Safe travels everyone.
