You will belong wherever your submitted times place you... you've run the laps 👍

I've spent the last 3 years surrounded by the fastest drivers in the World, trying (and failing for the most part) to compete with them... unfortunately everyone has a skill limit

Anyhow... good luck 👍

None sense you are a div 1 gold-silver driver, without a shadow of a doubt
Happy new year all!

Thanks Mark... I might be silver, but I'm not gold level... and I'm generally more competitive in events that allow tuning 👍

Finally it has bin proven. A event with tuning and having a good tune, helps! :mutt:

Happy new year everybody have a good one and a lot after this

I've probably spent around 2 hours at Willow Springs and 3 hours at Brands Hatch. Thought I had get a perfect lap in WS until I watched the replay back to see I had hit a cone. Going to have to delete that replay and go again. Last couple corners of Willow Springs are a nightmare, not to hit any cones or cut across the penultimate corner. I'll have my entries in for sometime next week.

My videos keep being rejected saying that they are replay videos and not best lap. I have double checked and reposted but they have been rejected again.

Well, I'm grounded by Winter Storm Hercules which has it's aim on Boston the day I was planning to fly back home... so my plan to start the qualifier on Saturday is down the drain... With any luck I'll get my first runs after work on Jan 6th, but my chances of making the initial deadline are now basically kəˈpo͝ot.

On the up side, I get to enjoy the -17° F / -27° C temperatures forecast for Maine on Friday instead of the 68° in California.

Yea, we're getting hit by it here in Detroit also. I hate winter sooooo much. Anyway, sorry to hear about your delay and hope you make it home safely. Good luck on the qualifier.

I myself have just managed to drag myself out of bed due to this flu. Man, I feel like I partied all night and I don't even drink. I was asleep by 10:30 so I didn't even see the New Year come in. Anyways, going to have to dig deep within to find the energy to give this some more attention. The determination is there, just not sure about the energy. Besides, I seem to do my best when faced with adversity (of any kind), so we'll see what the day brings.

Happy New Year.

Do you only get the one opportunity to submit your replays? Just asking as I am away from this Friday until the following Saturday?

Yeah the qualifier is a one hit wonder James. 👍

Submissions will be closed temporary after Jan 13 in order to give us the opportunity to determin division cut offs. Once that's done, submissions will be open again.

I think i'm happy to submit, just wondering if I should have cheeky little go when I get back from my trip.

There is certainly no cost to waiting until you get back as long as you can submit by the deadline... you don't gain anything by submitting earlier (except peace of mind maybe). Of course if you get grounded by a storm you'll be kicking yourself.

Ok guys and gals,

Since last week I had set my personal goals to get as close as those X.XX.xxx times on both tracks.
And yesterday before the end of theyear, i managed to beat my goals (times) on both combo. :D

i managed to get to know both cars, and both tracks...
i managed to find the line, i managed to stay on the line as much as possible...
i managed to avoid going less off road, and spin around...

Surprisingly i got comfortable, and now i love both combo!

I am ready to submit my times to Fetchbot, but i will hang on until the end of next week.

Certainly not the best time out there, but for my own personal goal, i am very satisfied !
I probably can shave a couple 100s, but i dont want to set my division too high... i want to leave room for improvements.

If i can repeatedly reproduce those times and more consistently by the end of this week, then i will consider going for lower times.

In the meantime, i just did a couple laps on BH... i can notice the improvements on my driving after days of pushing myself. :D

I decided to take one of my "training wheels" off and boy what did i discover:
- Hell didn't break loose!!
- I am having so much more fun this time
- I am getting creative in my driving
- and the BMW is actually quite stable at the limits ! I felt much more in control of the car !

I love these combos.

Well, I think I'm done. :) Will be submitting tonight and moving on to less stressful activities.

Would like to thank the two Admins who pitched the two combos (you know who you are, not mentioning so as to keep the blame/praise ambiguous :sly:), and the rest of the Admin team for putting so much time into this.

Especially thanks to @JoostBaksteen who is a real-life wizard who has made the submission process for this much simpler than GT5's.

Happy 2014 to all, looking forward to the battles ahead in these Time-Trials and in the Online Races.

Just submitted - I think there may be a tenth spare in each combo, but there are sections of both submissions that I cannot replicate to save myself.
Thanks to the admins for setting this up and as @Gravitron said, massive  to @JoostBaksteen for working wonders with the submission system to make it so smooth.

EDIT: It was accepted! I didnt 🤬 up!

I submitted as well. :gtpflag: Hopefully mine'll get through too. :scared:

Edit: It didn't...

GTP_WRS Registration FAILED Your replay gtp_deanj-replay-2.zip contravenes the regulations for this event.
The odd thing is, I'm dead sure it doesn't. Could someone please enlighten me with some more info? :boggled:

Grip reduction was set to low for replay2.zip, make sure it's set to REAL.

(You'll have to rerun that combo with grip reduction set to real).

Is there any way we can check what the grip reduction is on a replay? I think I set mine right, but now I can't catch myself so I'm wondering.....
