Is there any way we can check what the grip reduction is on a replay? I think I set mine right, but now I can't catch myself so I'm wondering.....
No, unfortunately you can't see that in a replay.

Question for/to the Mods:

if two persons have the same time for the same combo, how do you rank if one of them as the aids On and the other the aids Off?

Or it doesn't matter and you consider both persons to be in the same division based on the time alone?

Thanks,

Thanks,

If they are aids we allow then it's not considered at all. If two submit the same time they'll get the same handicap/division assignment.

e.g. if a driver feels ABS 0 is more fun, but harder, then they are fine to choose to run the qualifier without ABS, but that's their own choice and we aren't penalizing people that use ABS.

PS> The admins may decide for an individual TT to prohibit TCS or another aid, but that's independent of the qualifier. Also, WRS-Online will from time to time run a "hard core" event where all aids are disabled, but that is event specific and has no baring on handicap or division.

We disallow most aids. Specifically, those that can potentially gain you time are disallowed. SRF, AS and Low Grip Reduction on Track Edge are disallowed.

We allow TCS, ABS, and ASM. We do not rank times according to those settings, your time is your time.

 We have to stop doing that.

Thanks for the answer guys ! At least it's clear.

The TCS, ABS, ASM do not affect division ranking, but might affect the drivers for events that restrict them.

After trying the BH combo, I returned to the Willow combo and was able to shave off another 0.4 sec. I think I am almost at my limits but I will keep tryin untill the deadline. Now I will cocentrate on the Beamer combo.....

I forgot to set weather to 0%... will I be disqualified? :S I mean, that doesn't give me any advantage. I just did it for the photo contest. I wanted a more cloudy mood. :S

Can we send our times in yet.?
Yes. 👍

Please try to re-run with it at 0%. If you just started running yesterday, you really need to put more time into it anyway.

I'm feeling I have reached my limit on Willow. I'm pretty happy with the time. Now just looking to shave up to a second off my lap time on BH & I'm set to submit

Urghh.

I'm improving my time but I haven't hit the limits based on my optimal lines. My lines are improving but I'm finding it hard to bank "that" lap.

Improving and simultaneously seeing time that you can't bank, along with seeing potential time that is possible but hard to reach is very difficult.

I'm so lost on where I am. I actually think I may be ranking far lower than I assume that I am.

The way I drive now is just so different to how I did it in the GT5 qualifier (not that my methods then served me badly)

Wish I could find a second with the BMW  Struggling with that combo, I keep missing those right handers on the hill and into the grass I go.

Though I'm enjoying the drive through the desert. Knocked about .6 off my best time and I think I can get another .3 off as well.

I found almost a whole second on the BMW myself as well and I think I can still find another .5 but I feel close to topped out on the Renault. I'm still giving the two another week but I'm not sure there's much left to find.

I hop in the Beemer today and I drop a full second off my last PB. I thought that time was solid! Makes me wonder how much time is still left out there!!!!

Back to my wheel I go!!!!! :D

Al
Will you start your count a 0 again Al?

Hi guys. :)

Great to be back just to find the WRS looking cooler and even better organized than ever. A huge thumbup to the staff and all the enthusiasts that keep this series flying year after year. 👍 👍 👍

Nice variation in the qualifier combos, both were a pleasure to drive. Gave each a couple of sessions and have submitted the best laps. I’m still a slow’ish driver, so I’m looking forward to some more relaxed driving and friendly competition in the lower divisions. :D

Looking forward to getting started. See you on the track. 👍

Questions for the Mods again:

Is the division ranking a hard target ? or a moving target ?

For example, in GT5, let's assume the following:

If someone 's time is between:

- 10 and 10.05.000, then you are Div 1
- 10.05.001 and 10.10.000, then you are Div 2
- 10.10.001 and 10.15.000, then you are Div 3

Will this "standard" remain the same for GT6?
or will it be re-adjusted based on how many players are in "Div 1" time frame?

What i mean by this is:

Let's assume you now have a boat load of people doing great times, close to the GT5 leaders, will you know have this relative new standard:

- 10 and 10.01.000 = Div 1
- 10.01.001 and 10.03.000 = Div 2
- 10.03.001 and 10.05.000 = Div 3
- 10.05.001 and 10.10.000 = Div 4
etc...

So is the ranking a hard target or a moving target depending on the number of people being close to a value?
Just curious as to how the ranking is performed.

Congrats to all those who are shaving their times as of lately ;)

EDIT: Does being in Div # in GT6 means the same thing as being in Div # in GT5 ?

First runs done - interesting combos! Both very different.

Mental note made to self tonight - must find my wheel - DS3 is a nightmare!

Just did my laps on 0% weather now. The M3/BH is a nightmare with DS3 and no aids (except ABS1).
I know I can do better but it's hard to pull out a decent lap with the new physics and DS3. :D
Looking forward to see where I stand.

One more question: Will the leaderbords show if I'm using DS3 or wheel? Thanks.

Ready to submit tomorrow I had been hoping for abit more of a gain but only managed a 0.2 on brands hatch willow I've got all I can out of without pushing the track boundaries so guess I just have to hope I've done enough for a decent position
Have to say I really enjoyed the fact all times are secret it's made me really push myself than any TT I've done

Yes 👍:)

Havent had the time to run again (i ahve a flu since december 23 :nervous:) ,

even though theres still lot of time i think i will submit with the current run,
it is representative of the available time i will have on hand during events, about a tenth left on willow and 0.125 on brandhatch.

I am satisfied with my laps, even if i ever end with a bad result

goodluck all!

The dividing lines for the Divisions in GT6 will have no relation to those in GT5. The algorithm used to determine those dividling lines will be similar to GT5's,
which is to say that both games' divisional lines are/were highly dependent on the spectrum of laptimes received by the initial deadline (Jan 13th in GT6's case).
No hard targets.

Get well, @mike_gt3!
