As for grinding, I'm going to hang on the seasonals for now. Got 25M in the bank now and those seasonals give nice paintchips too. :sly:

I saved up to 20M then spent it on a car, but I'm back up to 4M thanks to the seasonals, which is usually more than enough to buy cars for WRS events 👍

If you want to grind, an even better race to grind is one of the Red Bull events, you can do them over and over again, they're quick and pay a lot! 👍

Do they pay more than 169,000 credits/3 minutes? That's what I'm making at Motegi with my log-in bonus. I did those RB events, but I don't remember what they paid.

Well the final karting race at GT Arena pays 174,000 IIRC with the login bonus and takes 3:30. And I think the Red Bull events in the formula car pay more than that :)

It has just taken me 30min(slightly under) to do the Red Bull X2014 Junior Championship. All wins gets 177,800cr per race and 500,000 for winning the championship totaling 1,389,000cr. Which is approximately 138,900cr every 3 minutes. NASCAR Wins

P.S That is with 200% login as well.

Fair enough, maybe the kart races are faster! But it's probably best to stick to Nascar unless you're really good at karts! :)

Well I had a quick go at Willow again after about a 4 day break and couldn't get anywhere near my best time. Exact same scenario as when I mentioned previously, can just beat first & a tiny bit second but the third, I nailed and can't get near! I suppose I best make sure it's clean to, as far as I'm aware it is haha as I wasn't going overkill with the thing! May revisit once more before end but thought it was best to do what I did with willow at Brands as I've not done it yet!

First go on it and I have to say I love the car, definitely gives a racecar feeling that M3, make it unstable and it will bite, Love it 👍

Won't be submitting until Sunday :)!

This is the Registry Discussion Thread isn't it? :sly:

👍

Yes, it is. All I did was state that my GTP account is leveled up and ready to go. :)

@ jtv90069 I just did the RB events and as you said, NASCAR @ Motegi is faster/easier for grinding cash for cars to use in WRS events.

Had my first go at Brands....Quickly realised I haven't done any laps on Racing tyres yet :dopey: Going to take a bit to figure out how much grip they actually give

I just submitted my qualifier and it worked perfectly!

I know there is still time to be gained on my laps but I think at this point, it would be too long and to be worth it. In Brands Hatch, my optimal fastest lap is around .2 seconds faster than the lap I submit. I'm happy with that.

And in Willow Springs, I've never been really able to find ONE fastest line around the track so I am a bit lost. It could be a very good lap, or not at all hehe! In other words, I'm not sure if I can hope for D1 gold or if it is complete dreaming! :sly:

All in all I enjoyed those combos but I found a bit frustrating to spin each time I made even the slightest mistake in the M3... I can't wait to see how this qualifier ends up and I'd like to wish good luck to everyone!

Yea, I've been given that advice many times before. Thing is, I hate causing accidents and when I do, I feel guilty as hell. I just feel like a moving chicane and I hate being in the way. I would love to race with people, but my confidence level is zero. I am just better off doing what I do, that way I won't cause angst to others. Thanks for the advice though.

Hey Mitch!

Like you, I'm scared of messing up other people's races due to my unintentional mistakes. I've even refrained from joining WRS races for that reason!

Maybe a few evenings some of us less experienced racers should get together for some battles and learn some race craft amongst ourselves, without annoying anyone else until we're confident!

Mitch how's your back treating you?
Agree with both of you, never been in an online race for the exact same reason.
Submitted and accepted now is time to wait and see where we fall...

We do that on the weekend, with our academy. More experienced guys show up, and help you learn racecraft. It normally takes place Saturday, around 5 or 6 pm GMT.

Your idea is a good one. But you guys should not feel intimidated by our events. We have a broad range of divisions that show up, and our events are about fun first, competition second.

That's good to know! I would love to join in with that. I was always too afraid before to let myself down with my GTP tag.

Yea, I realize that but the last time I went online and tried that experiment, it didn't work out so well. I got hate mail for days afterwards. Just prefer to avoid that whole situation again.
You wouldn't get hate mail from me. Just make sure you tone it down for qualifying so you're joining me in the back :sly:

I had one last go tonight and was able to make some time on Willows but there was little to nothing left for me at Brands so I have submitted. Getting a good, solid lap at Brands always felt good (I think I had many more dirty laps than clean) but overall my favourite combo of the two was Willows. Like a lot of others I went sailing off into the dirt on the first corner of the first lap I ever did but I learned to love the car and the course and I had a great time there trying to shave off as much time as I could.

Good luck everyone!

Submission accepted. I feel quite confident about my laps and I also preferred the Willows combo. Plus, the Megane is very fun to drive, IMO.
