And something short of an announcement, just some friendly competitive advice, team up with your teammates guys. You can probably hook up with the guys driving the same cars in the other conference even.
Pit strategies, tire preservation, setup, and consistency will all be key now, just like real life.

Just reading back a few pages regarding the time we should start.
It should stay as it is imo, it already takes a year to get everyone on track in the right order and even at the current time it makes me late for my friday after hours activity's with the ladies

.

If we don't create a window, and everyone has to use sport soft tyres and racing hards. Most people will either pit on the first or last laps. At least by making everyone do 3 laps before pitting, we get close racing, but still with enough of a window to bring strategy into it. Do you start with soft or hard tyres? Where do you find clean air. I just think it will create a better race.
I know there are both tyre compounds on GT500(RH and RM). Now, do we have to use both for Sprint Race as well? If so, put a pit window or else everyone will just do 1, 2 laps on Hards and put Mediums right away. Just do the same that you are thinking for GT300 to GT500. Just my thoughts.

That's what I meant. The same rules for both classes. I was using the gt300's as an example because that is the class that sail1c and myself both drive in 👍

In the announcement post that litchi posted last night, it states that both compound of tyre will be used in every race including sprints. I am assuming we will have the choice on which tyre to start with. It will need a pit window IMO. As you said everyone would put immediately otherwise.

The use of two tires in the sprint race makes no sense to me.
If using a 3-7 lap pitwindow, everyone starting on SS tires will pit on lap 3, and everyone staring on RH will pit on lap 7. I see no exception to this, so there will basically be no pit strategy.
The cars at the back will always start on SS and save the faster tire to the end when the cars are less bunched together. The cars in front probably too, but this is only thing I'm not sure of.
The same probably apply to GT500 but switch the tires to RH/RM.
If this is decided, pls reconsider.
