Ah ok ByGGy (so it starts with By not GG my bad ) thanks for being that understanding, it shows you have a great attitude and should do well here đź‘Ť.

Also Mole that was my plan to try help you by pushing as hard as I could my last lap in that stint to try help you out with some decent draft until you Dced behind me :(.

Well, might be that some people know what I am talking about.....be sure that I have always been a real sportsman...

Cool, maybe theres more that I dont know. Just would hate to see anyone drop out.

So sorry guys for missing the race. I was up all night with my grandmother. We were worried all night that she had a blood clot in her leg. Everything is fine now, but I wasn't able to lay down for some sleep until an hour and half before race time.

I set three alarms, but alas that was not enough. I apologize for taking a spot that someone could have filled in the SC430. This is unlike me to just miss a race without any word ahead of time.

I fully planned on racing and had practiced with Dom and Joao.

I know this is just pre-season. I know its not the biggest thing in the world that I missed the race. But I really do apologize for not posting in the forums anything about not being able to make the race.

If they start a league like this I will not disturb before it s really started.
You can imagine, being a kart driver, if I get second or even last and I know that it was for my driving or I made mistakes I never will complain. If someone uses a motor tuned up by HRS or whatever not included in the rules and I know this, of course, I will complain.

But I think this league here is more a fun league and therefore this all is not so important for fun drivers. I am NOT a fun driver............and therefore I will have to work on my "set-ups" until I can continue in this league.

So now I will concentrate more on the Formula Grand Turismo as I love cars where you can see your tires......while driving....and of course some REAL GT500 races......

Pls don t hit me!!!!!!!!:scared:

This sounds like. If I am not leading every lap and winning every race, I will quit and find races that I win. If you want to get faster, then stick around and compete with some really quick, clean drivers. If you don't know set-ups then team mates will help you. You are obviously quick. Stick around and become a better racer.

Breaking in my ride for tonight on the Nurburgring right now. Don't be surprised if I'm not be up to speed with the rest of you in GT300 because of it's my first time in the car due to all sliots for my preferred ride being taken before I reserved my entry for tonight's race.

Tony dont go doing this in karts will you

... (All you can say is what a Plonker )

What a "surprising" race........

As I note that I cannot hold the times of the top at any time I think it s better for me to make some homework regarding "set ups" or however you would call it in order to improve.
Under these circumstances I am unable to go on here...so I quit until I have found a proper "set-up" to be able to compete.
Wish you all the best for the next races......

Well, might be that some people know what I am talking about.....be sure that I have always been a real sportsman...
No idea what you mean actually.
I know of 2 races, you won one and finished second in the other.

But I guess between this which appears to say you'll quit if you don't win every race, and the other saying you'll quit if you don't get the car you want, I don't see what can be done to help you.
If it's tuning advice you want, it's all over these forums.đź‘Ť
If it's an advantage you want, you'll need another series I'm afraid.
and of course some REAL GT500 races......
You're quitting the second out of the 2 with the deepest talent pools...
Maybe I should bite my tongue but it seems like you aren't happy unless you win, regardless of your competition.
I'd rather lose to great drivers then beat up on average drivers that put 1/4 the effort into the race I did. ;)

Man up bro. Against your will? What the hell? You were on the sign up list as a substitute host, have you missed this all week?

As for me complaining to you for the fact that we are 8 drivers,i told you on the spot that i'm not saying its your fault, but you don't seem to get it.

Propersian has no excuse, running wrong specs and forgetting about the parade lap even though Nepali reminded it on the chat just before the start. Read the 🤬 rules.

As for you rage quitting, it's the most disrespectful thing you can do. I have never rage-quitted a single race in GT.

So, from my point of view: I'm expecting to have agreat race. People missing, we cant find a host, Biffy opens a wrong room then Nepali opens one against his will.:boggled:. I'm facing a 1hour+ race against 8 contestants who on the way become 6. Eventually i end up running 49 laps around Laguna by myself. Did i enjoy that? No. Was there any point in that race from my perspective? No Did i rage-quit? No.
No punches held, but the words are true.

I'm sorry! I know this is off topic, but since we're talking a bit of karting (lmfao Paul) I thought I'd throw in this absolutely brilliant video of some of the best racing drivers on Earth going around in electric karts on an intense indoor stadium stage.

But, every one, chill out and wait for Masi to come in here and regulate ('cause we all know that's what this thread needs right now), so watch this:

I like to think these drivers gave Vergne and Grosjean their recently acquired rides in 2012 xD

Just because you are a fast driver doesnt mean you can treat people the way you want and expect to get away with it. Biffy opens a room, and you criticize him, saying he has the worst connection. Then you call the room lame as if it was my freakin fault that people didnt show up! F:censored: grow up! You are fast, so what?

Its disrepectful accusing people and calling out names when they try to open up a room. Next time you join my room and im going to kick you and see how you like it. I apologized for quitting as I wasnt in the mood. Besides, it's preseason. I would NEVER EVER quit if this was during the season. If you criticizing people that work hard to run a room isnt disrespectful to you, then you seriously need to learn some manners. Skill doesnt make up everything, ya know?

Again, I want to apologize for the sloppy hosting, as I wasnt expecting to be hosting nor did I feel like it. I did it just to get things going, just to make sure the race would happen and it did. There's no need to overreact like a freakin 5 year old, specially in a preseason race.

Seriously?

After "catching" up with what has been posted. I am amazed at multiple things.

Firstly, it is important that the competitors read the rules. It is a complete cock up, if you don't come to the room with a car that properly meets the specs. If you have a question pre-race, post it in the forums. It will be answered. Yes, we use rolling starts in this league. It is in the OP, in the forum here right before the race, and apparently was also mentioned by the host pre race.

Sorry for all racers that remained that the host rage quit. Definitely not something that is considered acceptable for this series by any competitor, and especially a steward.

On to me.. Bad form to not have notified anyone of my absence to the race. My situation this week was a bit of an emergency, and a non-planned miss. I am an adult, however, and if I can't wake up to an alarm - bad on me.

Thankfully this is pre-season, and this is not how I have ever seen a regular season WSGTC event run. This was an aberration, and will hopefully never repeat itself.

Props to those of you who showed up with proper specs ready to race. Also props to all of you that finished the race.

@ImmortalPilot - I am not sure I understand why you are quitting? Because you think people are cheating, or because you think you are no good at setups? I can assure you that cheating will not be allowed in any form in this series. If it is about setups, I am not really sure where the better place to learn would be than here. How do you know your setups are any good if you don't put them against others that are good with setups.

But if it has anything to do with not setting the fastest laps in qualifying(which setup played no part in) or not winning the pre-season race.. well I really don't know what to say.. Other than good luck in your other ventures.

A down day for WSGTC to be sure. There will be, however, many good days coming.

I am still very much looking forward to WSGTC season 3. The WSGTC has always been a great place to race against extremely fast competition. It has also always been well regulated, and inspires race rooms where drivers are fair and respectful of others on the course.

It wouldn't be the same without the bickering after races.

Honestly Nep if hosting is as terrible as you make it sound just let Masi know you won't be hosting, that will solve your issue. Maybe you did and he didn't get it changed, either way, if the way you speak is really how you feel about hosting, just say no next time. I PM'd you because you were someone online that's capable, I would have entered and hosted myself if I knew it was such a big deal.

As for the guy out of spec, there's no excuse, and we'll be discussing appropriate actions to take come regular season time, because just "fixing it" on the spot is not acceptable in my opinion. No excuse come race time to not be at spec.

Yes, what I did was wrong. However, I had people with wrong specs, criticizing me for opening up a room, question me about the rolling start when its in the freakin rules. I mean seriously? I was exploding inside!! I just started the race and then I quit as I couldn't take it. I wasn't in the mood after what I had gone through before the race.

I followed all the rules correctly, the others in the room didn't and Im the bad guy?! Pff please...

OK here's what I suggest. Why not just have practice races everyday?

Since there's so many people from different time zones (which is why I think there was a low turn-out today, not because of any sort of drop in interest). So just make a new thread in the spot races section ( WSGTC practice races) then allow ANYONE to host a room if they feel they're connection and knowledge of the series rules are up to it, and just let them run free. Whatever amount of laps, sprint races or even full race simulations. Leave it up to them, but at the same time, continue to host serious pre-season races in between.

I don't know, I just feel that every one needs to be brought as closely together as possible, because at this point, people are only feeling more isolated.

Yes yes yes Wardez, I need this, you know......

Lets talk like this, and you are right, I do not like to come in 2nd and basta.

No glitches, no fakes.........clean racing that s what we all want! And therefore I quit! Basta!:)

And Wardez....Hit me, Hit me......!!!!!

I'll dissect this quick.

You get worked up way to easily. I know it can be frustrating, but wow man, smoke a joint, take a chill pill, do what you need to do, it's just preseason yet.!

Secondly, I don't think anyone criticized you for opening the room. I think Tony was just expressing discontent with what was going on overall.

He did express great discontent when Biffy said something that sounded like he would host, and I can't blame him. No offense and nothing personal to Biffy, but I wouldn't even try racing in a room Biffy was hosting with a bunch of people. His connection simply cannot handle it.

I can host without people giving me a hard time. Tony comes in saying "this is lame", persian holds up the PP check saying he's got the specs wrong and Apollo kept telling to do not do rolling start when it is in the freakin OP! Do you see where Im getting at CSL? Why I acted the way I did? Perhaps it would have been better to just sit in the pits for the whole race. I get criticized for my mistakes and the others don't? Please, I may have some issues, I aint perfect, but seriously some of you aint any better. No offense, just the truth.

It was meant to be impartial your all having a go at each other so im trying to diffuse it by that or else ill pounce and scratch your faces . (If you didnt laugh at it aswell your not human :sly:)

I followed all the rules correctly, the others in the room didn't and Im the bad guy?! Pff please...

Joao, I don't want to bicker with you.

I never said no one else did anything wrong. But just because others did things wrong, doesn't mean that gives the steward the right to compound the issue. The steward is supposed to rise above the wrongings and do his/her best to correct them.

And I think you know how a lot of us veterans of WSGTC feel about rage quits. There is no need to bring this all up again.

I'll dissect this quick.

He said he has the worst connection in the GT community. Thats not nice to say. He could instead say, hey Biffy but can you let someone else host as your connection might not hold the room. It's important to know how to write. Apparently, all Tony has is his driving skills.

You can blow-off some steam now but when you calm down and see things like they really are i expect an apology for this personal attack.

I'm getting a mod in here if this **** keeps going on. Masi's gonna freak. Every one, stop, stop beating the dead horse.

I completely understand the headache.
The main issue I see there - Guy out of spec. You're 100%, completely unacceptable.
Second issue - Guy saying not to do rolling start. We do rolling starts 100% of the time, and that's not open for debate, believe me, I know. ;)

Just don't take these things personally, take deep breaths, and if you need to, use all caps, tell people to be quiet, etc. There is absolutely no talking allowed during pre-race checks and race start time.
The host needs to communicate with the text, we can't have people missing typed words because somebody can't control themselves from talking.

PM Masi about the room issues today, and that will be that.
We clearly need some rule re-statements to some people.
