Joao, I don't want to bicker with you.

I never said no one else did anything wrong. But just because others did things wrong, doesn't mean that gives the steward the right to compound the issue. The steward is supposed to rise above the wrongings and do his/her best to correct them.

And I think you know how a lot of us veterans of WSGTC feel about rage quits. There is no need to bring this all up again.

Red, I know you arent pointing your finger at me. Thanks for the considerable message, at least you didnt accuse me directly. However, Im the one who's taking most of the blame for the wrongings that others did in addition to mine. It's not my fault, as I did my part. They mess up, and I get it. Then, with all the trouble in getting the race started, I just wasn't feeling well to do the race.

It doesn't mean I should have rage quit, and for the 1000th time I apologize but many here are acting so innocent when they also messed things up big time.

It's important to know how to write. Apparently, all Tony has is his driving skills.

Just step away from the keyboard a bit man. This will all seem trivial later.

Personal attacks on people's writing skills is not where we need to go with this thread.

Edit -

Maybe I am reading some of the posts wrong. But I don't think there are many people blaming you for others wrongings. Were people frustrated.. sure.. But I don't think their frustration falls on you.

We're all guilty of something.
Nobody is blaming you for everything Nepalli, do what Red said, take a breath, leave the keyboard, come back in a few hours and this will all seem ridiculous.

I agree Red to add to what you said...

Personal attack was what Tony did on me as well. It's not his business to point out the fact that I rage quit. His statements were unecessary as well as mine, but he's the one who started it.

It's all of our business to point out each others shortcomings so that we can better ourselves and learn from our mistakes.

Just not by blowing up in the threads. :)

But it is necessary to choose your words wisely. ;) He blew up before me. Actually, i was already blown up earlier today before the race started.

Language barriers. PM'd already, not everyone speaks English as well as we do, tact is one of the last things learned in any language.

Tony is very blunt and straightforward with his posts, and tbph, I like it. There's times like today where I can see how it sounds harsh and I'd like him to change his wording, but at the same time I only speak one language, so who am I to judge?

I didnt ignore it. :) I do like cats.

It doesn't matter now, I'm going to step down from hosting so I can avoid these situations. I was just trying to do a good job, that's all.

A huge fight but all in all the room was fine. It took quite a long time for people to figure out their positions on the rolling start (and I got passed before the finish line but it was hardly relevant considering how slow I was running) but after the first lap it was perfect, connection was good etc.

Not sure why, disconnected on my out lap from the pits.

How were your tyres? I was hoping to be able to use superior tyre wear to my advantage to close the gap down. I expected the Impreza to have the pace on the Celica over one lap, but perhaps not over the course of a stint. In the last 2-3 laps of my stint I was closing the gap (not including your mistake at the last hairpin), but if you'd not made that mistake, the gap would still have been 6-7 seconds over 15 laps, and I wasn't exactly cruising behind you. :sly:

I could perhaps have gone on to do a 1-stop but it would have left me with very poor tyres towards the end of each stint so I thought to 2-stop would keep things simple and might be quicker anyway. When I pitted I still had just over 1/2 of my tyre left actually but I'm guessing the Impreza was much worse for wear?

Shame to disconnect anyway; although you and I were on our own on the track, it was at least quite intense to keep up a good pace and have a battle from distance anyway. Did you pit the lap after me, or later? Would have loved to see how close we would have been at the pit exit! I came out just behind Paul and leeched off his slipstream for the first half of my out lap, so was going pretty well! :D

The tyres were not too bad actually. The Subaru's front tyres like to wear down quickly, the rears are not a problem. Heck, they hardly get warm :odd:. So I used brake balance 0/10. Surprisingly it did not make the car too weird, but helped a great deal with wear, and with turn-in as a bonus.

I could start out with 25-26's and stay within 27-28's after 15-17 laps. Then it would quickly get much worse, when the fronts wear below half.

I tested a 25 lap stint and got well into the 30's, so a 1-stopper would have been a complete disaster for me. A stop is only around 30 secs, and they are quickly earned with those times. I even considered 3 stops but decided on 2; 16+16+16 laps straight. But I had no idea about other cars' tyre wear.

I was quite nervous in first stint, I got a gap quickly but then you got more up to speed, gap stopped growing and I feared it was tipping over. Maybe your tyres could last much longer, and if you did a 1-stopper how would the 6-7s over 12-14 (?) laps hold up? And while I had those thoughts I forgot to brake properly at the last corner :dunce: - and then you started gaining more... :nervous: good pressure you put on, I admit I was relieved when I saw you were at least out for 2 stops.

That was on lap 15 I think, and I pitted on lap 17, you could surely have closed those few seconds (even more so with a little buddy help from Paul ). What shame you disappeared :(

I got out between hellboy and Paginas, but they had not pitted yet, so I got back in front after a while. Funnily on my second stop I again got out right in front of Paginas, I speeded and he was just at a distance where it did not seem to slow him down, hope it was ok.

The rest of the race was rather uneventful. No more big mistakes, no jumping lag cars like last week. And the guys I lapped were very kind to let me pass, almost too much so, one guy (forgot who sorry) even put himself in the sand.

Nepalii, Tony, Tony Jnr....

Ok now that, that is resolved (I hope) I ask this....

(sorry if im sorta spamming these pictures but they are on topic, sorta, and they work :D)

I do have a complaint to make i started 11th and the person behind me moved ahead of me i had to overtake him on the pace lap which shouldnt happen dont know what driver it was tho???

@Cicua: Last season using the 08 Impreza I did the same with fully rear brake balance, it works well really imo. Actually thought that was a personal preference of mine, but apparently not! Good to see someone else with the same weird braking style. :sly:

The Celica was very easy to drive, so I knew I could be extremely consistent with it, but tbh it didn't have the pace, I couldn't get into 25s, 26.2 was my qualifying lap to take P2, which was 0.6 off your pole time. Was hoping your tyres would suffer more than that to allow for the qualifying lap difference but although the car was easy on tyres it wasn't really enough to make the difference.

Also wtf guys, chill yo beans.

Is that for real. That looks awesome. An x2011 Kart. :scared:

Is that an optical illusion, or are the front tires substantially bigger than the rears. I still haven't been in a shifter Kart, so i don't know if this is normal or not.

Its real ;) more pics here:

Dunno what the groove in the middle of the tyre is for but it sure looks cool :D.

Edit: Its tyres are Goodyears . How light is 65pounds/29.5kgs for a Go Kart..?

Hey guys.

Had an emergency to tend to and stayed in the hospital all day. Couldn't bother to post.
Not the best time to be absent, eh? Thanks for the ones who kept their cool today 👍

It's preseason - better have these bad days now than later. Everything seemed well in GT300 though, yes?

Oops quit a little early from the room chat, anyway thanks for good race guys.

Moleman and Paggy went out early, what happened?

I wanna admit that I have had far to much work this week, which meant that I didn't get to practice and adjust any suspension settings at all. So when qualifying began, I sort of realized that this wasn't going to turn out very well.:scared:

And I was right. Already about lap 10 the tyres were screwed up and I lost grip all the time, also my gearbox settings was wrong which meant that i couldn't do laps under 1.29.xxx :ouch:

So I decided to retire but not in frustration, but in terms of: that I didn't wanted to ruin anybodies race, if I was going to lose traction in every corner, like I screwed up Paul's quali:

paulmac2k9
I had crap pace as I expected started 8th only got one flying lap in due to Paggy coming back on in the left right after the corkscrew 27.6 I think (funnily thats my time frm S2).
sorry for that mate.:guilty:

I'm sorry to hear that is everything ok and yes the race went quite smoothly

Why dosnt the host have or use a mic? Would makes things a lot easier.

I think its all about connection. Not everybody in here have a great connection. (I have "not good" connection. Only 3Mbps download and 0,28kbps upload). If voice chat is turned on, i think there will be many lags.

It only affects lag when there are like 10 people using mics. If only the host has 1 on to go through all the pre race checks and then turns it off, then it's fine.

We in AUS don't have half the speed of the people in USA and Europe and usually there is no problem. I don't think it's all down to mics. Mics can be a problem if lots of people have them on yes. The host needs the best connection. Last weeks NTSC race we had CSL as the host and there wasn't 1 hint of lag for the whole race.
