Are you comparing the cars stock or with some good tune?

The Subaru '08 has severe front tyre wear, but that is about the only disadvantage it has. And it can be mitigated with brake balance, and torque split if necessary. Other cars' disadvantages are perhaps not so easy to dial out.

The specs for gt300s you see now were created by me. I tuned the cars to make them handle "good". I'm not that good of a tuner to know how to turn a car's handling from normal/good to even better. That's one of the reasons I seek feedback. I did it on my own last season and they still weren't equal according to some drivers - that's inevitable, different drivers will drive different cars better.

We know about the Subaru '08s tyre wear issue, which is why I'm gonna do some tyre wear testing next week. A 10%/90% torque split is essential for this car as well as rear brake bias as you mentioned. I think Moleman still had problems with tyre wear last season even though he was running a 10/90 split and had his brake balance at 0/10 :scared: (although he was using a pad).

Anyway we're going to get the same issues as last time if people don't start trying them out for themselves. It doesn't bother me, I won't be driving in gt300. :)

And he's right. Different cars drive better and worse stock, but can be tuned to drive faster. If we don't account for this, people who take the poor driving stock cars can tweak the suspension, etc, and destroy the field.
If I get the time I'll run all the GT300 cars around Suzuka, being the most level track I know of in terms of speed/handling. Just for times recorded, and to make base tunes to post up for people to try for them to help out.

Also that different people fit different cars better. No need to explain why I don't think, we all just have different preferences, the important thing is to get the cars where they can all perform equally over the course of the season. The more feedback we get, the more information we have for this.
 
I dare say the MR-S is the "bad" handling stock car ;) and the subaru is the "good" handling stock car since even though ive spent all of S2 just to get the MR-S a good setup, as im still almost 1 second slower around laguna than the subaru in my own hands :lol:. (Yet to try the Is350, Rx7s, Garaiyas and Celica on the new spec due to my GT5 corruption a while ago)

I haven't driven much GT300, but I did drive the MRS around Laguna a few weeks back. Surprisingly need quite a bit of loosening from tight stock form imo.

Welcome to WSGTC newbies! I'll keep this brief and in simple English. Race clean, disciplined, and respectful around your fellow competitors! Fast but incompetent drivers need not apply - rather have slow and clean! Read the Racing Code 685 times (Click Here!).

You must follow the Car Specs and Regulations pictured below (TBA)! Not following specs will result in an immediate Disqualification.

While inside the race lobby, do not use the 'CHAT' feature while Stewards are sending out instructions for pre-race checks. If you have questions, go ask them NOW! Otherwise, read the OP. We will be using a special pre-race qualifying that is listed below - Read it! Thank you for your patience!

Car Specs and Regulations (All cars at Max Downforce!)

Pre-Race Qualifying
  • Since we're not doing the weekly qualifying, we'll do a pre-race one instead.
  • After pre-race PP Checks are done, the track will be reset.
  • The field will be given 15 minutes to do their Qualifying in Free-Run
  • If you are satisfied with a lap, DRIVE back to the pits. DO NOT press PAUSE and then EXIT!
  • Again, drive back to the pits! Do not press pause and exit!
  • Stay in the Pits and wait for the start of the race.
  • Once everyone has been confirmed to be inside the pits, the host will start the race.
  • Once the countdown hits ZERO, DO NOT MOVE!
  • The field will roll slowly and maintain 50mph/80kph
  • Maintain your grid spots while holding a double-file grid (8 rows, 2 columns)
  • Follow the Rolling Start Procedure Inside the OP!
  • Goodluck and Have Fun!
Eligibility for Winning Reserved Spot in Championship:
  • Win the race
  • Finish 2nd if a Veteran (or previous round 1 winners) Wins
  • Finish 3rd if Veterans (or previous round 1 winners) finish 1-2

The cars not on the list are welcome to be used guys. (Bandai SC430, YMS Supra, Castrol Supra & Z)
I might devil in the Bandai, not sure yet. No more then 2 per car though. First come first serve for that.

No idea for GT300, I guess if you have a host and want to race, go for it.

tires arent warming up on my dad's car.. lol Good old Laguna, glitchy as hell.

Edit: Man, CSL is struggling in having control of everything. It's complicated being a host of WSGTC, specially with the amount of new people we have. Now, I really have to appreciate the work the hosts do, its a lot of pressure, a lot to handle, and I broke under the pressure.
