Everybody who's around, come along to my lounge!

EDIT: 1 minute to green flag at Indy, i'm on pole with a 40.282, followed by smuffy, Cowboys and JT (current. Race shortened to 125 miles.

Smuffy (our resident non GTPer) took the win by 5 hundredths from me. Unsure what happened to JT and Cowboys in the final laps (fuel?) but it was clean racing all round and although we had 4 guys it was still a lot of fun. Cheers 👍

If i had only put an extra 2L of fuel in the car during the caution pit stop, i would have had this race won....Oh well, another 3rd place. Happy days.

5 Laps for Dan were poignant and impeccably observed. Very quiet for 5 minutes with only the low rumbling of 4 FGT engines at 100mph...

Unlucky to you and Cowboys, it was unbelievable that you both ran out of fuel pretty much simultaneously. Results are up but I'll update the tables tomorrow night when I have the US results (hint hint LV :sly: )

Here's the updated UK standings just for you guys to check

Tom-95
Smuffy-80
JT-70
Knelly-40
JP-32
Cowboys-32
Joe-29

EDIT: Also I want to get this merger idea sorted as quickly as possible. Can the US drivers make the UK time? Mostly aimed at Les, Ronin, LV, Niop and Jim. If not can anybody suggest a time/day that will be convenient for both Brits and Americans? 👍

EDIT 2: And I agree JT, it's been a while since the crash and those quiet 5 laps did make me remember what a great guy we've lost. Brilliant racing boys, see you all next week.

It would be pushing it for me on some days for the UK time. I get off work 30 mins before qualifying starts and I have a 20 min drive home. Next week I wont be able to make it as I'll be going to my parents for thanksgiving.

Post one-Thousand!

Lol congratulations!

And good racing today UK crew ;) and get ready US guys :D if there are any...

Maybe push the start time back 1 or 2 hours to try to accomodate the North American guys. I could prob go back as far as 11pm. GMT race start on Wednesdays.

It's seeming like we've got a group of core drivers that are attending every race (Me, Knelly, JT, smuffy, LV, ronin, Niop, Cowboys, Les, Jim etc.) a lot of the other guys who signed up are reading my PM's but just ignoring them completely. So my question is...

To everybody in the US series, can you race the UK times on a Tuesday night? 20:30 GMT qualifying and a 21:00 race start.

I think the only way all can potentially make it would be midnight GMT / 19:00 Est on a Friday?

I've driven later at night and I find myself losing concentration, I just can't do it. Too tired  Or maybe even a Sunday? That seems a reasonable idea.

Hmmm. Saturday's are no go due to NASCAR etc. Okay then, I'll give the Friday idea a go.

So everybody how does Midnight GMT sound on a Friday?

EDIT: And that is for the green flag time by the way, for around a 01:00GMT finish. I don't think I'll be too responsive at 2 in the morning in the dying laps of a race.

EDIT 2: On a separate note, can somebody PM the results from the US race so I can update the points tables? Haven't heard back from LV yet 👍

I got mustardaddict covering my safety car duties this wednesday as I cant make it. If it changes day/time be sure to let us know.

Currently no progress for me getting a new router, and it was my birthday on tuesday (I'm 18 now :dopey:) so I was a bit busy anyway.

Decided to mess around in the course maker earlier and made a track with a simple layout that is flat out the whole way round with our current road course specs and racing soft tyres (apart from one corner where you have to lift off by about 15mph). If we manage to get to/decide on having a season 2, perhaps it could be included. >__>

Before I settled on that track, I'd tried one track beforehand which included a perfect reverse Eau Rouge/Raidillon, but the final corner on the track was a nightmare and impossible to fix, as there was a large sudden bump in the road that got your airborne.

I've only tested it offline currently, so I'll see how it is online next.

EDIT: Online testing done. (I used racing soft tyres) Highest speed reached was 208mph, though 209mph is probably possible. Fuel lasted 35 1/2 laps, as well as a 100mph pace lap and a few spin recoveries. Fastest laptime was a 57.045 . The car handled better as the tyres wore out. The track itself is 3.2 miles long, so if we raced on it I'd recommend a 150 mile race (47 laps) so that you have to pit for fuel.

Happy birthday for Tuesday then mate :) That sounds like a good idea, I was toying with the idea of using a created track for S2. Thanks for testing it out 👍

EDIT: All drivers PM'ed about possible time change.

Drivers who can make 19:00 Eastern on Fridays
Tom
Knelly
Jakob
Rich
Niop
Berty (Pace)

If we run Fridays, next race will be the 25th of November. Thinking about running the remainder of the UK series for everybody, and adding the Indy 300 onto the end of the season as the US competitors will not have raced there. This would mean a 21st of December final race, bit late but should be ok.
