1:13.168. I felt so much understeer in this car stock. The steering seemed dead until I tuned this car. The force feedback is NOT strong in this one.

Had a 1:13.1xx with no aids. Tried out srf as all the tops guys used it and managed a 1:11.2xx. Both laps were sloppy and could easily shave off at least a second if I really tried.

I wish you could filter the leader board to see who using srf, and who's not.

*UPDATE*
Just managed a 1:10.281 abs 1, srf on. Everything else off.

Never used srf in a seasonal before, I know it has its haters, but ive found i do like the feeling that you can really floor it and the car feels like its right on the edge. It's managed to put a smile my face a few times already.

Did you use Darth Vader's voice when you said that?

I took another go at this tune and I'll have it up tonight. Got down to 1:12.3 with ABS1 only, no SRF.

:irked: hmmm... HTRs setup was actually a good 3 second slower than my previous one. Here's the one i used to get 1.8.700
Suspension
105/95
7.27/8.93

ballast position 50%

Buy weight reduction stage 3, window weight reduction and carbon bonnet. Also do not buy any aero parts whatsoever as it costs a lot of pp with hardly any gain. Also taking the stock rear wing off maybe beneficial when it comes to understeer.

Pretty easy to gold this one. I used BlueShift's tune, nice and stable for easy laps.

Jaguar XKR-S 11' - 560PP on SH v1.04 - Seasonal Tune

My first venture into flat floors thinking it might help some of the lesser skilled pilots control this heavy beast. Not entirely happy with the results. The car drives more like a GT500 car than a street car but unfortunately it's the Supra it resembles more than the HSV. Get the entry speeds right and it carves through the corners with massive grip. Get them wrong and it pushes a little. Once you find your pace it should be an easy gold for everyone. My best was a 1:12.3 using only ABS1 and no other aids. Good luck and enjoy!!!

Tune built for the Jaguar XKR-S '11 Super Lap Seasonal Event @ Rome Circuit -
January 29, 2014

Pretty good tune. I wish I could find a little bit more front grip in high speed, mid-corner through exit without destroying the rear grip of the car. Maybe if I spent more time with it. I just listen to the outside front tire talking to me most of the lap. It doesn't always turn yellow, but it never stops talking. Anyway, currently a top 300 tune in this seasonal.

Are all you guys using a racing wheel (I see G27 is extremely popular)?

Been running all these events (spending about 30 mins doing laps) with ABS1, No aids, SRF OFF, and a Dualshock :)

Maybe tomorrow I'll tune the car other than throwing some upgrades on it (Suspension before power yo!) and get lower than my just under gold times.

Seems like SRF ON lowers times by 4 or so seconds. That's what I saw with the Toyota 86 TT as well?

@Johnnypenso, I may try your tune later, I threw a quik tune at it and managed a pretty good lap and was around 2400. Looked at other times and decided to try with SRF on, after 2 laps I was .002 below you. Made me feel a little dirty using SFR but that is what most people above us are using. Anyway, I was kinda fast without it, which surprised me since I use ds3 and normally am aroung 15k-20k. Then I might try Hami's.

Most of the top pilots use wheels but the vast majority of GT players use controllers. I saw the stats recently and don't quote me, but I think it was around 20/80 in favour of DS3. As far as SRF I'd say you're about right but it depends on the track of course, how long it is, how many corners there are to take advantage of the SRF etc. PD has definitely made it harder to gold these events without SRF which is a shame IMO, because it forces a lot of less skilled pilots into using SRF to get the gold which gets around the beautiful physics engine they so highly touted before the game was launched. Makes no sense to me. They should just remove the SRF and add 5 seconds to the gold time.👍

Hami's tunes work really well for me. I didn't drive this car at all without the flat floor, didn't have time for that, had to pick one way or the other, so I'm curious to see how they stack up against each other.👍

I have had some fun last night running the Jaguar bone stock for a gold time of 1:16.432, and today running with my tune on it I have lowered my previous tuned time by a few more tenths to 1:12.436. :)

ABS1, SRF=OFF

JohnnyP, I think we must have similar driving styles. Your tunes usually fit me really well too. If memory serves correctly, in GT5 with the FITT Race Car Tuner Challenge, your race car tunes ended up in my favorites list.

I just want to make sure that the community knows that I wasn't trying to be competitive in this forum by posting a tune right behind yours. Props to you Johnnypenso. Respect from one mad tuner to the other.

I have improved yet again tonight, down to a 1:12.073 and I think it is going to be tough to do better but I will keep trying until registration ends. :D

Alright, started on this one about an hour ago and ended up at 1'10.083. Still working on the tune, but will post it as soon as it finalized.

I tested a few of the tunes posted thus far and this one worked the best for me. Nowhere near your time but basically a 1:12.086. Mostly neutral handling with a hint of oversteer. Thank you!

Used DolHaus tune and after an hour i did 1.09.808 with ds3, very good tune but it lacks some speed.

Edit : Seeing how the car turns for doodle makes me think that the tune i'm using is not good. With my tune i can never turn the car like at 1:01

I'm glad it helped bud :) though i think most of them are non-srf tunes to be honest. I just wish i could get the the car to turn a little bit better at high speeds but i'm failing miserably. I'm guessing wheel users don't have that problem because i heard you can turn it more using one.

That's my biggest problem also, that 'corner' after the 1st one is hard to do it full throttle, also the initial part that send you to the last 2 corners are hard to do. Well done for being the first of ds3 players ;) thx for sharing also the tune, will try it out next days

I put the flat floors on My Tune done with a G27 and it was good for a 1:12.3 with ABS1 only, no SRF. Might be worth trying with a DS3 but I have no idea whether it'll be good or not..

Just improved to 1'09.744, 93rd atm. Still working on the tune, but its getting there. Will post it later today most likely.

That's exactly where i'm struggling. I have to stay as wide as i can for turn 2, otherwise i'll just smack into the wall coming out of it though if you can hit the inside of the kerb it will turn it a little better for you. Same goes for turn 5, you have to hit the kerb there so you can go through it full throttle but i see some of the top players not even using it and still managing it without easing off the gas which is mind boggling. I've just recently found out aswell that the front aero kit doesn't cost any pp but flat floors does so i'll try it with that later on tonight.

I imagine Samurai's face doing that 1:08:000 ! Now that's what I call being that close to breaking into the 07's...
Anyway Amo is at pole ATM with a 07.959... and his super-smooth magic driving.
something is missing now there at the top...where's Ramon?

Have found out among other weird things that power to weight ratio is just there for the looks...
ATM at 09.373 with a 2.58kg/BHP car, almost 2 tenths quicker than what i could manage with a 2.41kg/BHP car...

@Motor City Hami, So I had a decent time with my own quik tune, .002 behind Johnnypenso. Then I tried your tune and took .4 off my time. Tried your trans setup on my tune and was .2 off my best time, played with some stuff and got nowhere. Back to your tune and gave up after a best lap of 1.11.842. With a ds3 and my skills, I just can't get any faster. Still the most I have ever put into a seaonal TT and at 1,111 when I stopped, the best I have ever been this far into a TT. Thanks for the tune. I guess I'm just not as fast as some others and cannot compete with wheel users:(

Ramón is dropping his time with Toyota to ensure 1 position. (but sure he'd be up there)
Amo vs Samurai : Good fight..👍 I thought that Prasinar would be in this time trial, and he was the last to win in Rome (GT5).

Not to sound arrogant but you can compete with wheel users (also they have an advantage over us)

After almost 200km with jaguar i'm at 1.09.803 on ds3 and i still have to try out some tunes
