Thank you very much.
This is the second time this week I thank your tune for my improvement - reached my goal of going under 1:10 - 1:09.8xx now. (Although minor adjustment of toe to -0.04/0.04 and camber 0.1/0.0. - thanks to yannagas for mentioning it somewhere above )
PS
I have a personal question - as per your signature note "you practice until you can't get it wrong" - how long does it take? All I seem to be able to do is learn brand new ways to get it wrong.
Congrats on your improvement, a job well done. 👍
As for practicing, I'm sure it is different for each individual, but for me personally, I have been at this roughly 2 1/2 years...practicing at times 8-10 hours a day to get to the point where I am today. I am disabled which means I have to work through certain physical problems that sometimes hamper my progress. It also depends on how bad you want it and how determined you are to improve. I have played through severe pain at times competing in various WRS TT events. There were times where my wheel was Red with blood from blisters on my hands from competition. After my last back surgery, I started playing again too soon and popped a few stitches and started bleeding kinda bad. Did that stop me....no, I patched myself up with a few band-aids, put an adult diaper on to prevent blood from getting on my Playseat and kept going. That's just an example of the dedication you have to have if you are really serious about improving. Of course, you may not want to take it to the same crazy level that I have, (I'm not your normal casual player) but that is just an example, from my personal experience, of what I have went through to get to the level I'm at today. Like I said, all people will be different and will progress at their own rate. Some people just have a natural ability and a knack for the game and will progress their skill set a little quicker than others.
I will tell you this though. Don't get discouraged at your progress. If you keep at it and just practice when you can, progress will follow...I promise you. At times, it may seem like your progress has stalled, just work through it. There will come a day when things will click and you'll be like, "Oh yea, that's how that's done" or "that's how you take that corner". My advice would be practice of course, surround yourself and compete with faster people than yourself, (both of my friends list is filled with "aliens") don't be afraid to ask questions of the more skilled players, and keep reaching for the stars. The WRS has also helped me out greatly with my improvement. So yea, that's what it took me to get to this point....and I'm not done yet.
Sorry for the "wall of text" response, guess I got carried away.
Anyways, keep at it my friend, you'll get there.
