In yet another one of your attempts to :sly: take a shot at me, you conveniently missed the part of my post where I said I was disabled. So no, I don't have much of a life, but the one I do have, I am quite happy with...just playing with the cards dealt to me. I have a girlfriend who has a job and models on the side, so no problems there as far as that goes. She supports me fully in my efforts here. I have two wonderful kids who are grown and have life's of their own, so they aren't around much so there's that. I have as much of a life that anyone in my condition could ask for and am happy to just be alive at this point. I am really getting tired of people like you with your smartass comments about me not having a life just because I choose to spend it in the way in which I want to. I wish I could work and do all the things normal people do, but I can't and so I just make the best out of my situation in a way in which I enjoy. Instead of taking your cheap shots at me, maybe you should be more concerned with yourself and thank God for the life YOU have. So, hop up off my ass, grow up and cut it with the cheap shots. I'm getting tired of it. I was only trying to help out a fellow member, no need to chime in with a dig at me.
Just ignore comments like that, you don't have to defend yourself. I spend almost ridiculous amount of hours in every game i play, in gt 6 total driving time is now 112 hours (from december 6), 866 races entered, 224,010,999 credits earned. PS. I don't have a life, but that's just fine by me :)

Thanks, appreciate the kind words and I certainly admire your dedication.

I put some weight on the car earlier and put it to the rear and I didn't like it so I took the weight off. didn't bother putting the ballast at 0% again and just left it there.

Still playing 8-10 hours a day is too much, take care of your eyes.
:) I know, i get obsessed with every great games i play, my hours in gt 6 is nothing compared to the hours i spent on SKYRIM, played 10-12 hours almost every day. ;) And my eyes still working.

I don't know how the hell you're managing to turn the car without any weight on the back. I could see you going a lot quicker if you did put some weight there.

Ok mate!No problem.

Amo is playing with every player.I think he is the best right now.

I have to play TT from December and before that from GT5.Where is Resuperg, Shooter,Kolsa and the French guys ;;;

Knocked a tenth off my time with a 1.8.579 and ranked 14th now and still the fastest on the DS3. :P I think the front aero kit helped
Nice! I'm still stuck on 1:10.080, every time I'm a second up on my previous best, then I always mess up the final three corners!

I'll get it eventually though(not that it matters, I actually have grown to like this track over this TT!)

Tell me about it lol. It's taken me 3 days of trying to get that tenth of a second off. I found out that you have to stay as wide as you can for turn 1, where i made the mistake of staying near the right hand side wall and braking there. Also i think downshifting fast for the L turn helps too. As for for that last sector, it's sheer luck i got a decent pace going through it. 9 times out of 10 i mess it up there.

@GTP_CargoRatt, as someone with both back and knee issues, I admire your tenacity and courage to be able to put 8-10 hours a day in.....ignore those who you feel are just trying to jump you. Most of us are jealous of your skill :sly:.

Aw, thanks friend, appreciate it. You, or others, shouldn't be jealous though as I am nobody special. I'm just a man who was handed a set of circumstances and just trying to make the best of them in chasing down my ultimate goal here. I figure it like this: I'm not "alien" enough to give out the best advice as far as race skill/racecraft go, or tuning for that fact, but if I can inspire others to do their best through my own personal experiences, then that is good enough for me. It puts a smile on my face everytime someone comes to me and says that I have inspired them to push a little harder or not give up when trying to accomplish something in the game. That right there is the ultimate satisfaction for me and I believe that is the plan that God as laid out for me....and I am perfectly fine with that. :) It took me awhile to figure all these things out after I stopped asking myself "why me" (as far as my accident goes and the situation I was faced with) but now that I have, I have come to peace with it all. Thank you again for the kind words, they really mean a lot to me.

To be honest. I have no idea. ResuperG is mainly an iRacer and is extremely successful there, no idea what L-shooter has been up to, Kolsa is doing some GT3 Championship with his teammates in GT6. The fastest french guys like Ti-tech and his brothers chill out in no-abs lobbies. It's quite fun to race them, even if I lose by 10 seconds every time.

I have played with Resuperg and Takeuchi (if i write it well). They are friends and pretty good players.Resuperg is only 17.(like me).Electric in the tracks...Really fast. But overall i believe Kolsa was the best.Until Amo came in GT.

Slight improvement, still leaving time out there. 1'09.709

Here is my tune.

CircuitodiRoma_4_zps6dbed694.jpg
Awesome tune Mitch, well done! Improved my time instantly around 0.5 secs - after session 1sec. Unfortunately cannot drive with the wheel right now. Anyway - P226 atm with the DS3 with 1.10.149. Thanks for sharing :)

You're welcome, and awesome job on the improvement. 👍 And as always, kudos for doing it on a DS3...you DS3 users continue to amaze me with your great times.

Well, I just finished with a 1:13.450 with my 3rd time around... that didn't hit a wall. All three good laps were gold. I looked at other tunes for the ballpark ranges, and set my car a little firmer and a little lower than those I looked at. Set as:

Oil change and body rigidity
Stage 3 weight reduction, windows, and hood.
107 KG ballast to rear. (center of 50/50)
Sport computer power to 95.1% for 560 PP.
Racing brakes 3/5, triple clutch, custom everything

Transmission. 2.000 start for final, max speed for spacing, then set:
1st: 4.283
2nd: 2.734
3rd: 2.106
4th: 1.669
5th: 1.323
6th: 1.048
Final: 2.940

Height: 75/85
Rate: 10/11.5
Compress: 6/5
Extend: 6/5
Anti Roll: 3/5
Camber: 0.2/0
Toe: -0.09/-0.08

LSD 10/15/5

Considering how easily I golded with this tune, figured I should post it. If I spent time with the driving, I think I could shave off at least another 2 seconds with this tune. I started my first gold with a final of 2.800, then went to the 2.940. wasn't really watching the RPM's much, but there is probably room for better acceleration between 3.000 and 3.100.

I'm not one of those who normally get in the top 10,000 spots. I easily placed 5,172, and like i said. I'm sure I can shave off at least 2 seconds if i practices this car and track more. This 5,172 is 5.615 behind the leader.

Just improved my lap time to 1:08.361 and ninth place...Unfortunately i have never completed here an all sectors-perfect lap.My first sector on this lap is a bit slow and every time i destroy my lap in the L after the first sector checkpoint. The lap can still improved so no worries for me.The aim is 10 first places and if i could...even higher.

Knocked my time down again by 0.0.011 lol. I've got the setup sussed out on this now. I'll have more time tomorrow to get that perfect lap hopefully.
How the hell do you play with DS3 and making those laps;:confused::cool:

When you've played GT1 to GT6 using one, you get so accustomed to it lol. I couldn't sit there all serious and play with a wheel for hours. I'd rather sit back and chill with my controller :)

Too right. People can get used to anything.
Once I broke a leg skying and had to learn to drive with my left foot. I worked as a taxidriver at the time. Passengers couldn't believe it - some thought it was illegal to drive in plaster.

I couldn't do that...It's a miracle mate!

i have problems with that fast right hander after down hill on south-west section. i lose a lot of time there and from there after. how do you guys deal with it? my common sense tells me the straight section after that corner isnt that long so its more of a type2 categoryA corner: fast corners that come at the end of a straight. so should you carry as much speed as you can into it or do you brake early and rotate the car before the apex and accelerate hard out of it?

I get it. My heart gave out in 2006 and I can barely go out and walk anywhere when the weather allows. And it's been -30C or so lately here and we've had a lot of snow. I can't walk through the snow as it tires me too easily and I'm not allowed to go out in extremes of temperature so basically I'm stuck inside pretty much all the time. If it weren't for my PC and PS3, to play games, sims, research, and watch my DVDs, I'd have almost no life at all! I have had GT6 running since about 9am this morning and it's now 7:25 PM. When my eyes get too tired or I'm too physically tired to use my wheel/concentrate on GT6, I'll probably put another game in that I can use the controller for and does not take as much concentration. (I been playing a lot of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for this lately.) Oh, and I also had to take a 45 minute nap just after lunch as I got too tired to function. I missed 2 days earlier last week due to my health taking a drop but normally my PS3 IS my "life", or at least lifeline. Nope, it's not "much of a life" as some would see it, but after coming this><close to literally dying a few years ago, I'm quite happy to just wake up each day and watch my daughters grow up and spend time with them and do this little bit I still can.

Kudos Mitch on making the best of your situation. I managed Bronze in this and might go back and try harder but to be honest I don't worry too much about Golds. Heehee. To be honest, it often tires me out to much to bother.

Sorry to hear about your situation my friend. Hope things get better for you. All we can do is keep on keeping on...the best that we can do. Good luck to you, keep your head up and good things will come.

Thanks Mitch. I can't complain (but some days I do anyway!) and it sucks sometimes but last time at the Heart Dr, he said I haven't gotten any better the last 4 or 5 years but I also haven't gotten any worse either. I can accept that. Well, I have to!!
